Thanks for all the creative work you put into this. You can truly be proud of this feat! Hope we will see some official minifigures out of your bunch. With today's moulding and printing technology there are greater chances for that. See you around and best wishes!

@Robert8 Why not continue with the greek alphabet? I love your minifigures and I'm sure you have plenty of ideas left. Surely TLG also takes inspiration from some of them.

According to Promobricks, the new Fairground Collection set will be 10303: Loop Coaster, a giant roller coaster with a double looping and track segment elevator consisting of 3 coaster wagons that run on yellow bright light orange track. Also included are a hot dog stand, a pretzel stand, a clown with bike-stand selling balloons, a bench for minifigures to rest on and an amusement park plan. The elevator is operated manually, but the set is "Ready for Powered Up" and can be fitted with a battery box (88015) + motor (88013), similar to 10261. Set number: 10303 Set name: Loop Coaster Pieces: 3756 Release Date: July 1st 2022 Price: 359.99 Euro 399.99 € / $ (PPP 10.6 Cent) Nr. of minifigures: 11 (7 visitors, 3 vendors, 1 coaster operator) Size: W=85cm, H=92cm, D=34cm

I tried some door fixes digitally, since I didn't buy the set yet. Maybe someone can try them out and write back if they work. These two ideas require the replacement of the 1x4 dbg plate with two 1x2 plate modified with tow ball (22890). The friction of the socket and the wedge pieces should keep the doors from falling down. Afterwards they can be removed of turned downwards. I think the last one should definitely hold the doors and can be easily removed. It's a stack of two 1x2 plates with the tow ball pieces at 90° to act as a stoppers. Or even simpler a 3 piece stopper under the arch brick:

[MOD] 42138 Mods and Improvements
R0Sch replied to Void_S's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I received a new replacement sticker sheet after complaining to customer service about the color mismatch and to my surprise there is now a brighter lime and darker blacks version with a new ID: 6362705. Sadly the print quality is not as sharp as the initial version. This shows that if enough people complain about the NOK quality they are willing to improve it. I don't know whether or not this sticker sheet will be included in newer batches or only available as replacement parts, but I wonder if other sets will get the same treatment (e.g. the Vespa which suffers the same problem). -
About the door's falling on their own, I think that the designer used the old type of Technic pins and the new ones (without center slots) having less friction ridges + made of softer material don't have enough friction to hold the doors weight. Could someone who already got the review copy test this theory with the old pins (6558 for 3L and 2780 for 2L)? I'm really annoyed by these new pins (introduced last year) and how much more difficult they are to disassemble because they're so slippery.

I'm pretty sure it's doable, just needs the hinging point to be deeper so the wheels wouldn't get caught in the fender arches. As to the hoverboard. Why does the board need to be in the vehicle scale when there are 2 minifigures included? Does Marty use the board or the car?

And the best part about this new windscreen is this: BUT why not use the 49.5x20 tires for the rear and 49.5x14 for the front? The rear wheel is clearly wider and bigger in diameter, the least LEGO could have done is use the existing wider ones. Also that hoverboard looks crap compared to this:

42139 - All-terrain Vehicle
R0Sch replied to Ngoc Nguyen's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
No one complained about the looks of 9398 which had the same cool color scheme. Some people forget it's supposed to be a kids toy not a display set for adults. In fact this color combination works so well that it can be seen in our fauna too with monarch butterflies, tigers, Calico cats, koi fish etc. -
10305 Lion Knights' Castle 90th anniversary set
R0Sch replied to R0Sch's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Sorry you feel this way, but it was clear from the beginning when LEGO did the poll, that the anniversary set will focus on one theme only. I prefer one proper set over multiple mini-builds like they did with 40290: 60 Years of the LEGO Brick.- 2,976 replies

General Part Discussion
R0Sch replied to Polo-Freak's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Old ones should be better in terms of sideways stability. Also the ends not being (double) closed in the new version means the spring will not sit perpendicular to the axis and look "S" like. That's probably because of the constant pitch the new ones have. The old spring had closed ends so they work more progressive towards the ends. The instructions still show the old part nr. but, I'm pretty sure you already got the newer 6378472 in your set. LEGO usually updates the instructions after first batches have been produced. I remember getting the new type of black pins (without side slots) in the 2021 January sets even though the instructions still showed the old, regular pins.- 5,506 replies

General Part Discussion
R0Sch replied to Polo-Freak's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Check the parts list in the instruction for the number. There are now 3 versions of yellow spring and 2 of the lbg ones. Digital image might vary from physical part, but I reckon you got the newest batch of parts. This is just another example of part update / production optimization. It's much cheaper to produce a spring coil with equal (equidistant) windings. Even if the spring force was kept the same, the sideways bending will be adversely affected by the increased nr. of windings and thinner wire, leading to shock absorbers jamming.- 5,506 replies
