Hi, has anyone built the new trains in Studio or LDD and is so kind to share the model(s) with me? I want to try some double decker and carriage lengthening ideas for the passenger train, and some rolling stock for the freight train. I was hoping there would already be a "Mods and improvement" thread for the sets here on EB, but it seems that others are waiting for heavy discounts too.

Not only that, but you don't have two heavy, 90 degree tilting rotors that have to move and rotate at the same time, thus the motor and gears are less stressed. Plus, it's really easy to fix if you don't use 8T gears and now we have the more robust 12T and 20T spur gears. Speaking of Osprey, I really like the similar artwork style on the box front and all the functions shown on the back, unlike those bland 18+ boxes. I bet this model is also designed by Markus Kossmann. Remember the good old days when almost every Technic set was presented in a Designer Workshop video?

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 23. Rumors and discussion
R0Sch replied to Robert8's topic in Special LEGO Themes
More like magenta, it's supposed to be an homage to the knights from set 375 with the golden visor from 7079 and a different plume. -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 23. Rumors and discussion

I think the costume minifigures are more popular than some AFOL's here think. The CMF's are targeted at children too after all. I know many just buy the animal costume minifigures and leave out the rest. So for an anniversary series I don't see a problem. Certainly better than another licensed Disney series. And if you don't like the stick horse, just replace it with the white baby horse from the City Advent Calendar or so. -

1. Man in gray knight armor with golden visor (2594), golden sword, printed shield and printed breastplate each with the Classic Castle logo from the Yellow Castle and a white hobby horse, 2. Woman in green dragon costume with the familiar dragon headpiece and printed feet 3. Girl in fairy costume with white crown, trans pink wings, skirt and candy cane and printed feet 4. Woman in reindeer costume with gift box, printed heart tile and printed feet 5. Man in red nutcracker/soldier costume with new hat/hair combo, golden saber and white/black printed dual-molded legs 6. Person in snowman costume with new head mold with hat and broom 7. Woman in blue robot costume with scissors and information board and dual-molded legs in blue-orange with printed feet 8. Boy in Popcorn Cup Costume 9. Man in captain/ship costume with captain's hat and new ship mold that attaches between torso and legs 10. Man in turkey costume with new head and tail pieces, spring arms and dual-molded legs in brown-red, plus a pumpkin 11. Girl in elf costume with printed legs and snow globe 12. Man in wolf costume with dual-molded legs and sack Source: Promobricks P.S. It's kind-of a 90th anniversary set because of the yellow castle knight P.P.S. PB said that the golden visor will be the same as the Queen will wear in the 10305 Castle set and the same visor reused in grey for the Lion Knights. Maybe this knight in the CMF Series 23 can be considered the king for that set? -

No need for a diff in a set without a fake engine and even then it's not given (see the McLaren Senna). -

Great. This set was supposed to cost 100€ and now it's 20% more expensive on release date. 42080 was 130€ and included a battery box and motor, 8 wheels, more parts... and 42053 126€ if you added the PF Motor set. And they both had B-models too! This set cannot be motorized, looks very wobbly and stripped-down / basic. -

As I said before, we now have also the confirmation from Promobricks that this set will NOT be released August 1st 2022 but was postponed to 2023 (without mentioning a date). Otherwise we would see it in the 2HY2022 catalog. -

And next time maybe wait until the quality issues from first batch production are fixed including instruction mistakes. -
@AanchirYes, I noticed a bunch of differences in the higher resolution image too. I'll be happy to change the 3D model once the instructions are available.

Yeah, I just saw that now. The dumbest thing is that the depicted battery box is not available at lego.com and was sold out month ago on sale. Maybe a screwed lid version will appear soon. Anyhow, the good old PF will do just fine. And looks like there is no possibility to make the coaster wagons go infinitely in a loop, because the track segment does not come down quick enough to catch them from below. In fact, you have to manually turn the direction switch on the battery box (held in your hand?). Why not use the train smart hub with the app and an automated cycle like in the Haunted House instead? Very weird choice and a downgrade from the previous 2 coaster wagons running in parallel without aid.

For 400€ it's definitely overpriced if battery box and motor are not included.

Thanks so much! I must have been too tired yesterday to realize that. Also you're right about the quarter-cylinders and round bricks since they appeared in more sets over the past couple of years. The quarter-octagonal panel was only in a Frozen set so far. I changed the file accordingly, link is the same.

42144 - Material Handler
R0Sch replied to Ngoc Nguyen's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I would, but the nice parts are only on the exterior. Inside it's a colorful mess. And did I mention I hate those simple, way to short outriggers which lift the handler 2mm above the ground and that wobbly turntable with orange cotter pins? -
42146 - Liebherr LR13000
R0Sch replied to Ngoc Nguyen's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
There are no flagship sets anymore. Flagship was when the box had a lid and showed the cool functions. Now it's only about breaking another price and part count record. -

I see now that Stonewars writes the set is postponed to 2023. So sad... -

Nah, they recolored the cylinder so they can charge more for "new parts". Also making them dbg with black accent so their "dumb customers" don't mix them up with the black linear actuators from the CAT. -

So, does the lack of the Liebherr crane in the catalog mean it will be semi-exclusive or worse, postponed?
