  1. So the grandeur of the life-sized Technic cars continues with this Peugeot too... and the customers directly fund the costs by paying the high price tag of these type of sets. What a waste of good Technic parts that could have been sold on BaP instead. https://www.brickfanatics.com/lego-le-mans-building-challenge-finished
  2. According to Promobricks, the Orient Express will fit and maybe even include regular train tracks in it's display stand, will consist of 2540 pieces and retail for 300€ with release on November 1st. Hopefully ready for Powered Up like the Crocodile and unlike the playscale Hogwarts Express, which doesn't even fit the conductor.
  3. Couldn't find a post on EB regarding this excellent Technic gearing ratio calculator web tool created by Technic Brick Power. Maybe it will help with your next creations. I find the animation part very cool, as I miss a function in Studio to mesh the gears. Also this gear meshing guide is very well explained: In conclusion we need a 32 tooth gear to complete the ratio chart.
  4. This set has some pretty large gaps for today's Technic standard... and we thought the Peugeot looked unfinished. Also it's clear from the 360° that the front wheel hubs will not be red and the ends are indeed 72008 elements. https://www.lego.com/cdn/cs/set/assets/bltddadebb7f808847f/42160_v1.mp4
  5. I would at least merge the two tiny wagons into one longer double axled wagon. Engine needs to be longer and taller to accommodate the conductor who currently only fits while sitting with his butt hanging out.
  6. Yep, metal axles indeed! Both Tender and wagons, so 7 in total (same element ID 4298979). I couldn't be happier about this comeback. Sadly no magnetic couplings again.
  7. Not sure if this was posted already, but the metal train axles are back!!! Thank goodness!
  8. Yes, but the ICE is missing on the LEGO version.
  9. Doesn't seem likely. All lime pieces for the exterior are visible from the pics.
  10. You are right. It's that gear rack piece in black. Didn't see the teeth and thought it's a new part.
  11. No, it's smaller. This model is 28 cm long, compared to 452 cm real car, it's 1:16.
  12. So only 3 L-motors after all plus chunky C+ Hub. That 5x5 quarter curved panel/beam seems new too, right? Can't wait to try to align those 7 large stickers on the curved hood pieces.
  13. The hub seems to be located in the middle between the doors (seen by the yellow sticker with "D"), and there is another motor next to it on the right which is not the steering motor. The rear has the drive motor(s). So maybe 4 L-motors in total?
  14. 81.5x29 is the tire size, not 28.
  15. No, man. You can clearly see from the attached picture.
  16. Discussion thread for the upcoming LEGO Technic 42161 Lamborghini Huracán Tecnica. Nr. of pieces: 806 Release date: 01.08.2023 Price: 52.99€ Lime again, how boring.
  17. Finally some proper off-road tread pattern. But I'm tired of these race cars with tonns of stickers.
  18. Did you guys see those 1x7 Technic bricks with 7 pin-holes from CaDA? The new C71006w Combination Safe has like 16x in lbg. Also 1x10 Tiles in black and 6x6 tiles with shiny surface. Overall this safe has a plethora of cool gold chromed pieces. I ordered the set yesterday after JK Brickwork's live build stream. Highly recommend this set and his tellurion is even more technical.
  19. It really doesn't make sense to include almost the same Batmobile in two different sets coming out just two month apart. They even have the identical gear mechanism with popping out machine guns. So much for product cannibalization. Most people will just buy the small one in August and get the figures from the D2C on the secondary market. The cave-box is ugly anyway. The playset one even has the flame and wheel caps included.
  20. It seems it was the second option I mentioned. The black 16 tooth old style is an unreleased color as can be seen in this interesting gallery of Technic "Qparts": https://www.flickr.com/photos/148691465@N05/albums/72157663491437627 Something new that I learned from this is that the old type round 2L pin connector without slot was made of 3 individual parts that were glued together. I wonder how strong this new chain link with bar is going to be. I guess it's made of the same softer plastic, but based on my engineering judgement the weakest link is still the fragile chain clamp that now has to hold up against side forces too. I see very few use cases where this element might work besides some simple toyfair duck hunting game mechanism.
  21. Those are probably CaDA too. Just because someone took a picture and listed them on BL doesn't mean it's genuine LEGO. Or it's a factory prototype sample, those tend to be sold on BL often too. Like red Darth Vader helmet or LBG Viking helmet.
  22. Thanks for the infos. So no plans to change the rims to the correct 5-spoke design? It's an improvement with the metallic silver so mimic alloy better than chrome color, but the 5 spoke is iconic to Ferrari and would look so much cooler. If the custom rims could be designed for the Lambo why not for this one too?
