  1. After reading some of these comments about collecting between older and newer designs of minifigures. I do find it too frustrating whenever TLG updates a minfigure like the Rebel pilot or one of the characters either from OT or PT to a latest version and does make the ones you have collected before this update of printing sort of defunct. Personally in my opinion, the older minigures of any of TLG minifigures including Star Wars is something of nostalgia before these updates that will always be part of my own minifigure collection no matter how many updates and what not since TLG decided to do this after 10 or more years after the first version of the same minifig, for example Luke Skywalker or R2-D2. A basic design in my opinion is something still well worth collecting, as it still captures the look of the character from any TLG minifigs.
  2. Midi Scale Tantive IV, complete with Tantive IV description stand and a small original movie poster. Limited Edition - 44.00
  3. How rare is the original Princess Leia from 7190?
  4. I thought I will bump this topic after a month. Been thinking about making The Benbow Inn from the film/movie, and wondered of how easy it is to do so. And if any fan of Treasure Planet has done this too in Lego or LDD. New pics
  5. Good question. Now for some reason I do think that the simplier times of minifigures, like the yellow versions, or before the detail of minfigures are as they are now, is a lot better in my opinion in terms of between 1999 and 2009. There is something about the older minifigures that has this unique charm about each character from all other Lego sets before '99 to after '99 to '09'. I just find them that they still capture the characters look, like yellow Qui Gon, to the likes of yellow Ben Kenobi as an example. Sure the detail of the newer minifigures might be more accurate to the movie etc, but the older ones to me have something special about them. Just that mixture of Star Wars and Lego-ish charm coming together to put a smile on your face.
  6. Droid Escape from 2001
  7. Looking at both incarnations of the ISD from Lego, I prefer for some reason 6211. Sure might not be accurate compared to 75055, but looks not out of place to me in a Imperial fleet.
  8. The first thing came to mind when I saw it. "Honey, I shrunk the AAT" Kinda 50/50 for me at the moment, but I might still get it after all.
  9. Outstanding MOC indeed. I like the original shape there of the ISD, whilst including the bridge of ISD/SSD from the OT. Keep up the good work Goatm.
  10. Nice review of a great set. Having owned 6211 but never completed the set 7/8 years ago, I have to say what a set it is. And that is impressive. Great for any OT fan, or a fan of an iconic SW ship which no doubt will leave someone outstanded just by admiring the set of this great scale
  11. Thanks for clearing that up. Wasn't too sure, especially seeing them once in TESB and not in the books of EU/Legends after the movie.
  12. Not too sure if this the right place to discuss this here. But I have been thinking recently of how versatile the T-47 Snowspeeder is, in terms of using Lego's version sometime after the Battle of Hoth.
  13. Thanks for that. So next year at the earliest then.
  14. When does S@H have sales of the bigger SW sets?, like 10236 as an example or similar sets of the UCS name.
  15. Star wars battlefront(2004). The force unleashed 1 and 2 KoTOR
  16. Looking at the pics of the sets, it makes me think about getting them. Especially at the rumoured price of 75086. Got plenty of droids currently, but 7929, at the moment compared to 75086 looks a lot better to me, same with the AAT. Might pass on most of this next wave.
  17. For sale is Lego Star Wars 7676 Republic gunship complete with original box and both instruction manuals, plus Asajj Ventress, 2 Droid Commando's, 2 Super battle droids, 3 Clone Troopers, and a droid STAP in blue. 100% complete set to make up the set. Will be listing on ebay if any TCW fan on here is interested. UK only.
  18. Phew! Would like to finally get the set, and was slightly worried about when it will get discontinued. Still plenty time to save up for. On another note. Is it worth parting with all things TCW in favour of OT. Big fan of both, but more OT/PT fan than TCW.
  19. Does anyone know when set 10236 is going to be discontinued any time soon? Hopefully not soon, like this year.
  20. Thanks
  21. Any chance I can have one? If there is any still available at all that is. Also, Am I eligible?
  22. Great recreation of the start of Episode I. One of my favourite scenes in all of Star Wars. Impressive build.
  23. Does anyone know how I can make a custom mini version of the Death Star II at all?
  24. Ooo nice, very nice I too can't wait for the lego version.
  25. Thanks so far of the advice about if I should get 75055 or not. And I'm swayed of possibly getting the set. On another note regarding 75055, never knew there was a pic of Death Star II in the background.
