  1. The car looks great and as complicated as any official Ferrari set. I will surely have a go at building this model. I am not too fond of the wheels used though, and don't even have these. Your effort to build and document the design has to be praised. Any videos showing the car driving ?
  2. Small companies that produces bricks to be used together with Lego parts, may not comply with safety standards. If some kid get hurt by such products, they may think it's the fault of Lego.
  3. Plans have changed. Nah, nothing important. I will be at the Ben10 area instead, which is kind of nice since it's next to the big fan area (byggepladen etc.) But of course I might even end up doing something else, who knows. I have no preference as to what should happen saturday after 17:00 but I have to get to my hotel anyway, which is close to Nørreport. I just picked up my crew-pass today
  4. You are not able to see the Lego ID of other players You select your name when you launch the game the 1st time.
  5. Don't underestimate peoples ability to make mistakes for no reason.
  6. I will arrive at Bella Center around 9:00 saturday morning, after sleeping at my little brothers house. I am not driving to the event, but coming by bus and train. Between 10:00 and 17:00 I will more or less work, but I will surely have time to talk to you all, walk around a bit, and give my little brother, his family and my mother a tour through the exhibition. I will stay at a hotel close to Nørreport Station, but the Metro go straight to that station from Bella Center. Sunday I will be "at work" again. I will probably try and be at the exhibition at 9:00 or earlier, to have time to photograph some of the goodies. Sunday I will be back in Kolding rather late, as we have to pack down some of the exhibition after 17:00. I will go back by train, and probably be a bit too tired to get to work monday morning.
  7. No, but many AFOL wear name tags on a brick clipped onto a shirt or whatever they are wearing. Actually some wear many hundreds of grams bricks. I will wear a name tag too, as I had one made at Klodsfest in Vejle last year. In fact I just joined Byggepladen, the Danish LUG who runs among other things the event Klodsfest.
  8. No, take sand green from green Piraka, combine it with sand green limbs etc. from Ben 10 Swampfire. There is your moc. Chromastone is Dark Blue and purple.
  9. Judging from the picture it looks like you ordered a sand green 2011 set.
  10. You can actually give a set like this to a five year old boy or girl, and they will be able to build this without help. This is why I rate this product very high. It does come with limited usability even compared to the more specialised Bionicle parts, but it's a trade of that is acceptable. This is Lego, pieces in a very high quality, and yes you can moc this with Bionicle for sure. One thing to notice for Bionicle moc'ers is that the leg with two ball cups, although lacking Technic and Cross-holes, and only featuring a Rod-hole, is in an all new lenght, namely 6 modules compared to previous 5 and 7 modules of the Bionicle ball-cup beams.
  11. If somebody would like a picture, and this is for you too ciano, you need to pm me an e-mail, what picture and needed size in pixel width x height . I haven't got any pictures larger than seen here on-line.
  12. Sorry my friend, as much as I would love to photograph old sets, I hardly have any. Not yet anyway
  13. Don't get your hopes too hyped up, but I will ask some of the designers and the Bionicle, cough cough Hero Factory project manager. As for the display at Lego World in Copenhagen, I will surely photograph those sets and post pictures.
  14. As Bionicle is ending, all the prototype sets will be shown at Lego World in Copenhagen. That is, all the canister sets that made it to production and market. So they actually look very much like the final sets, but if you look close, some of the parts are not moulded, but rapid prototyped. All the crazy prototypes, that tried out ideas etc. will not be shown, but I will try and make a deal some time in the future, allowing me to photograph those crazy prototypes, and show them to you guys.
  15. Lesson of this story is that if you wanna be famous and rich, you need to get to be a friend of Copmike first.
  16. I've had different thoughts and plans about creating a dragonfly in Lego. Until now I've thought about basing the insect on the rotate-bend joints seen in e.g. a lot of Creator sets, and though dominantly a System moc. I did start creating a dragonfly at some point, but stopped after making a wing that was 45 cm long. That would end up being a huge moc. My problem is that a fail to find a way to build wings that are realistic, and the attempt I made was done with black plates, creating the outline shape of the wing. It may be possible to create a flying insect based on Mistika transparent wings, but I don't really like those because of their non-biological and unrealistic shape. But they have a nice surface pattern.
  17. I see my Danish friend has front-paged this thread, thank you KimT. I will take extra effort to ensure the coming photos will be of even higher quality. In the meantime you may wish to see some of my other photos on flickr: Front's flickr Here I post my Lego images, but more importantly all my macro images of Dragonflies and Damselflies. Add to that a crazy Dane driving around on a frozen lake. Front
  18. I rarely watch movies, very seldom go to see one in the theater, but I did today walk in and watched Avatar. It is an experience I'm glad I have now. Not too exited, not disgusted, just glad
  19. Well I guess they have got a money back special guarantee, meaning that you can buy stuff and return it within a week or so. Sitting at home, cutting up a box to get the figures out, gluing it back together. How bloody pathetic.
  20. Transparent greens: 48: A dark standard green. 311: The new green used in Atlantis. 49: used for e.g. crystals in Power miners, more like a yellow colour
  21. Finally we can talk the same language
  22. And the major Toy Fair is in Nurnberg Germany a couple of weeks from now. I visited it last year, enjoyed it very much, especially the radio controlled cars and jet-aircrafts, but also all the HO-model trains. Impressive fair.
  23. Could it be that the market for action figures are quite crowded and full of competition ? Novelty is needed to sell. Not like city police stations, which you can sell looking nearly the same each third year.
  24. How many reused parts have you guys spotted on the HF heroes ?
  25. My Pridak and Ehlek can't stand up. That was a huge blow to my view of the products as pure quality.
