  1. Just because I work in Hero Factory does not mean I can't say some hands are crap, lol btw. I built Von Nebula way back, testing building instructions, and I really like this set. Maybe not on that high level of Tuma, but still.
  2. I usually like the black sets. This time even with crap hands and "non-new" mask
  3. LEGO does not know how much sale goes to AFOL and how much end up being a kids toy. But they can estimate.
  4. Really some creation here. So if Hydrolift ended up buying the boat, this LEGO model would probably be on display in their reception or some similar place for years to come.
  5. Well I did: 60.000 km on a Yamaha RD 125 LC 85.000 km on a Suzuki GSF600 Bandit 21.000 km on a Suzuki SV650S Not particular fast bikes, but I enjoyed traveling fast with the two Suzuki's in the mountains of Pyrenees (France-Spain) and Norway. You do realise that the picture is a bike I modelled in 3D ?
  6. I have been riding motorcycles between the age of 18 and 32. Since I crashed on a vacation to Norway in 2001, I haven't had a bike. I haven't followed the models from the last 5 years, but ask me about some details on a bike from the 80s or 90s, and I will know. I made my own bike some 7 years ago:
  7. Just watched it till the end. Great video production, showing a strong community in the North-West USA.
  8. Nice creations, I just joined the flickr-group to keep an eye on this in the future.
  9. Love this custom figure, although I'm a Lego purist.
  10. No, my confusion came about because everyone else is doing stuff wrong. You see, a 4 Module Technic beam has 4 holes, so far so good. But, there are only 3 Modules between the two holes at each end. When you want to construct mechanism with Technic, or get stuff aligned like making a Pythagoras triangle with sides 3, 4 and 5 (3^2 + 4^2 = 5^2 =25), a 4 Module beam is only 3 modules long. This is why I say a 4x2 brick is in my terminology a 3x1 brick, and a 6x1 brick is a 5x0 brick. It's simply because I count the spaces between the holes or knobs, and not the number of holes or knobs like everyone else is (the guys who got it wrong). My terminology and the underlying theory was put forward to my colleges sometime last year. They reacted in the wrong way, like Holodoc
  11. I am convinced that costumer service would be delighted to receive a mail concerning Lego's use of set numbers, where it fails and where it really works
  12. The question is how do you contact brickshelf with the enquirery to have those images removed ? It is simply not ok.
  13. lol, I actually was writing an explanation and then realised I really suck at dimensions. Good that I'm not drawing bricks, lol
  14. I am terrible with dimensions, does 10x10 mean e.g. a plate with 10x10 studs ? A plate like this is kind of 11 studs wide :-) If a 10x10 plate is fine, I'm done. Not that I'm using a plate
  15. Great post, thank you. One funny thing is that set #2009 was the 2009 x-mas present to employees.
  16. I will just like to have the top two ones. (plus event package as everyone else)
  17. The photos of designer Jes and the Preston Stormer set was done by having a photographer visiting our office. You can never trust what we have lying around in our creative environment.
  18. I just bought my 3rd 4997, Transport Ferry from Creator theme. 4997 on brickset Now this evening I have even opened one of the boxes. Look forward to building this nice set.
  19. I enjoyed the pictures in the forum thread. Some really nice castles etc.
  20. Don't judge the new line based on some random prizing.
  21. We have all been wondering who that green brick was Now we know, thank you for taking the time telling a bit about yourself.
  22. I've built the red Tahnok (8563) a few months ago. I did know that these sets are something special, but was still surprised to see how neat the figure fold up and are able to hang inside its canister. The head movement rubber band thing is cool too.
  23. This will be my first Lego competition ever. My 8x8 (or 10x10) will not be the kind you would expect. I warn you all.
  24. I like this mini-figure, and the small amount of bricks added are even some that I find useful. Outstanding set in my opinion.
  25. Thank you for the review. I struggle to make a vote that is not strongly biased, Outstanding this little set is, mostly because of the diving head gear and visor :-)
