  1. I am pretty sure that the series will be with Danish language on CN-Denmark. I watched the final version today, and that was with English language. Expect the series to show in other countries too. Later that is. I think it's quite cool that Denmark is the first country it is showing in. I have no involvement in the series, expect for the engineering of parts for the HF sets, that also is used digitally in series, commercials etc. I did watch the HF "movie" evolve from early story board style animations to the final product. I like the final product, and I hope it catches the kids attention.
  2. This sunday 22nd August 2010 at 8:35-9:00 CET there is a program called LEGO: Hero Factory on Cartoon Network in Denmark. Off course I have no clue what this program is about :-) http://www.cartoonnetwork.dk/tv-guide/sunday
  3. There goes the core of a guitar player (last picture). Nice review. When I built the set I thought, ohh no, wobbly builds (head assembly etc.) We are going to hear complaints about this in reviews. I don't know why the designers don't try and avoid this more. It was a problem too with the heads on the old sets using this torso originally.
  4. Good luck to everybody here who applied for a job. I hope PMD (Product & Marketing Department) can attract more interesting people to Billund, that makes it a pleasure to go to work each day. I myself am working in GSC (Global Supply Chain) as an engineer doing Part Design, engineering work requiring a lot of 3D CAD skills. I work in close relations with Product Designers and Tooling Engineers, making new products happen. One thing that everyone applying for a job as Product Designer can be sure of is that you will end up with a lot of nice colleges. We have open positions in Part Design too from time to time, but we mostly seek people with a Danish background. I hope that can change one day, and we can attract people from different parts of the world. Front aka Erland R.N.
  5. But big scientific guns and Hero-talk is fine. And a Hero does not talk like a nurse.
  6. Great, I'll tell people to try it out at the office tomorrow :-) Or at least to build a hero.
  7. I would think you should still use costumer service on LEGO.COM To my knowledge it's a global service
  8. Thornax launcher. It works (not that all other shooters did not work). It shoots both Spike balls and Zamor Spheres. Spike Balls jump around in a funny way.
  9. Great that the Technic forum get a dedicated person to sort out stuff. Congratulations DLuders.
  10. Brickdoctor thank you for showing the message from Jake McKee about the colours. He did a great job writing that letter.
  11. Von Nebula At the end of the day this is my favorite of the 2010 Hero Factory figures sets. I hope you like the pose, photographed with extreme wide-angle lens. Front
  12. Guys, the strange names on the sides of the boxes are for the Hungarians.
  13. I must say I like Von Nebula more because of untraditional builds. Although that set has the "axle sticking 4 mm out problems multiple times".
  14. Best and most cute moc I've seen for a while. Thank you for sharing. Nose, tongues, ears etc. you've got everything nailed.
  15. I can add that Thunder and Dropship is new silver too.
  16. I would love to see panels in the new metallic silver or metallic dark silver.
  17. Temperatures within normal ranges does not make bricks develop fractures. An assembled set will slowly lose clutch power over time if exposed to higher temperatures. If only one type of brick had developed fractures it would be obvious to think that this one brick was outside standards with too large deviations on dimensions. But as it is several types of bricks that is not that likely. If all the fractured bricks were built on top of the same type of element, that could also be an explanation, as a two large stud could make all bricks attached to it develop fractures. Perfumes react quite aggressive with several types of plastic, and that is why I asked about the use of deodorant. It makes the plastic brittle and prone to develope fractures although only stressed within normal values. But please contact Costumer Service through LEGO.COM and tell them the problems you've experienced. LEGO values the input they get from the costumers. Front aka Erland/Part Design
  18. I find it hard to believe that so many bricks could develop cracks just from being built into a set and stored for a while. Could I ask the OP (Original poster) if there might have been used deodorant spray in the room where the set was displayed ? This could be an explanation to the development of cracks in so many bricks that are really not that stressed (not if the bricks are within tolerances at least).
  19. The new HF limb has has all functional elements (ball, balcup, cross-hole, technic-hole) placed in grid. This means that there is distance of 8 mm or a multiple of this between functions (measured along a x-axis and a y-axis. This is how it is with all LEGO elements. Take the new limb, place the Ball cup in 0,0. then: Cross-hole: 0,16 Technic hole: 0,24 Ball: 16, 48 I hope it makes sence.
  20. Don't ever put Lego pieces in boiling water, you will destroy the plastic. Use water at 40 degrees celcius as maximum, and you are safe. I don't know the finish that the piece here has been applied, but chrome finish and paint (dont by LEGO) will only make the cleaning process much more complicated.
  21. I did part design (engineering of a designers input) on the silver weapon arm. This type of element is not my cup of tea, but to be honest they look super cool. Off course the silver sphere shooter of Duncan Bulk is the coolest If somebody ask me to make engineering on such a big chunk of plastic again, my head will turn red, and I will start shouting at whoever has this idea. So please fellow fans of the action figure products, have faith in the future.
  22. I can't reveal anything I have knowledge about, and I certainly don't know half of the stuff that will be surrounding the Hero Factory products in 2010. But I can promise that in my view it looks big, big on several fronts.
  23. The commercials are pretty cool. It seems like you can download instructions for the complete HF line up.
  24. I enjoyed reading the review and watching the video version. Maybe the reviewer was a bit too enthusiastic when he claimed that there are lots of connection points on the pieces. Stringer is not my favorite of the 7.99 sets, I more like the Heroes with two identical weapons.
  25. The family of Crownprince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary visited LEGOWORLD in Copenhagen in February this year. I think it's safe to say that the kids like LEGO. I don't think TLG gives LEGO to these kids, TLG give LEGO sets to kids in need, like kids in South Africa or kids in the Gaza strip. I know we had a faulty production of Bionicle canisters a few years ago, simply missing to put instructions in a number of canisters. Instead of trying to adjust these faulty produced Bionicle products, or simply scraping them, they were sent to South Africa for charity. Here is the Crown Prince of Denmark at LEGOWORLD 2010 in Copenhagen, having a talk with an AFOL. Keld Kirk, the grandson of the company founder, and current owner of TLG, is in the picture too .-)
