Anyone else seen the new wave in Canada? The Wal-Mart over here had the council and wizard battle. I'm going to go back and nab a council; hopefully there's at least one still there!

Press Release 10237 - Tower of Orthanc
Endeavour replied to Bonaparte's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
What a spectacular model! But alas i'm not prepared to dish 250 bucks for it. Also, did anyone notice the portrait of Radagast hanging on the wall? -

My God, is this actually happening? It better not be. 'Ameribricks' is the stuff my nightmares revolve around. Bad show, chaps. -

I'm a little late to the party, but... FINALLY I have lived to see the day sleepy/tennis hair is released in black! It's really too bad, because I have absolutely no interest at all in the set itself. Oh well. -
Next CUUSOO set: 21103 Back to the Future™ Time Machine
Endeavour replied to Blakstone's topic in LEGO Licensed
The Minecraft set was considerably over-priced IMO so, we can safely assume a price of $35-$50. -

Thank you for creating such an impressive rendition of my favorite scene from the movie! The burning tree is a creative use of droid arms, as are the Indy whips as roots. And the Eagle looks just fantastic. Great work! -
I'm in love. The Wizard Battle looks to be an altogether great set. Hooray for Saruman and Gandalf for cheap! Loving the eye of Sauron which i assume is printed on a minifig head. Definitely getting. Council of Elrond is just fantastic and IMO the best priced of them all. Really happy Frodo is getting a new double head print. The build is fantastic, and there are a lot of useful new pieces - especially those new arches. Getting this one for sure. The Black Gate -The Mouth of Sauron looks great, as does the Eagle - just not those feet - or perhaps it's a foot - because there's nowhere to attach a fig to. Again, great build. Not sure about those rubbery spike pieces though, and i feel it really needs that missing second tower to complete it. There's a high chance of me picking this one up. Corsair Ship is nice, but i just don't feel it's a very iconic display piece. Looks like the 'army' of the dead glow in the dark? If so, it's a nice touch, but i'm not planning on getting this one. Really liking this wave.

This is great. The fifth book/film is one of my favorites. May i ask where those fence pieces are from?

It's 12.99 USD, and that usually translates to 15.99 CAD. IMO it's a bit much... But that Iron Man fig is a must have. Looking forward to NYTF tomorrow. -
I can't wait to see how you tackle this. Be sure to incorporate that broken step from 'The Castafiore Emerald'.

Thanks, everyone. Putting the video game version aside, that's really how i hope they include him in a 'Bilbo's Party' set.

The mansion is tiny. Apparently we get two stickers for the hall of armor. No. The helicopter is nifty, but IMO a bit flat. Also, flick fire missiles... This time, they're green. Like that makes any sense at all. Did anyone else notice the suitcase? MK5, or is there another suit that comes in a suitcase? Not digging that Golf cart with eyes and for some reason fire. I'll get it for the figs, i suppose. Hawkeye/Bruce Wayne hair for the Mandarin is not really what i was expecting; I would have thought the S3 Sumo hair was the obvious choice. Also, his beard just doesn't work for me. Will be getting the set with the boat. War machine! That's an interesting solution for the shoulder-gun i suppose. Looks like it will be about $25 over here. -
These are quite inspiring. I especially love the technique you used for Oin's beard.

These are really great. I wish i had that many Ringwraiths. Or Nazgul, or Black Riders, or whatever the heck you want to call them.

Not sure if this belongs here, but i whipped up an idea of how an old Bilbo Baggins minifigure could look in physical form by swapping a few of the colors on his younger fig. http://www.brickshel...ff/oldbilbo.png What do you think?

I wasn't a huge fan of On Stranger Tides but Johnny Depp never fails to entertain so i am looking forward to this with anticipation. On a side note, Catch Me If You Can just happens to be my favorite movie.

Does anyone else think the rumored Scientist from CMF Series 11 will introduce a new hairpiece that will be reused on the Doc fig? -

Hooray for BTTF! So the way it works is the set is released exclusively to the online shop? I hope they show up on shelves. -
Not sure if this is a big spoiler but, Great movie, by the way.

Lord of the Rings Game - Minifig Designs
Endeavour replied to DarkKnight7's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Very nice designs. You should try your hand at Smeagol from this pic: I can't find a picture of his front torso at the moment. -
Holy bricks those CAD prices are just awful. Even $70 had seemed a little too much for Bag End, but at $85 i refuse. $60 for Attack of the Wargs? No. I should have known better than to think the final prices would be so low. I might wait for a worthwile sale and buy one or two of the sets but that's about it. I am extremely disappointed.
