Lifeguard Vehicles Hi there guys! I would have never thought i could actually start and finish the Triple entry in 2 days but i did it! So basically, as the title may suggest, my project is about those rescue vehicles that lifeguards use to prevent dumb surfers who wipeout from sinking xD This is what i got: An ATV driven by a single L motor with a 2:1 ratio, independent front suspensions and a single shock absorber for the rear axle. It has tubolar design for the chassis that makes it really light, the whole model weights 500g...you can find a picture of the chassis in the WIP thread http://www.eurobrick...showtopic=88988 thanks to the fact i avoided using a differential it performs really nice off the road having nice crawling abilities. Then there's the jetski! Unfortunately it doesn't float :P The nozzle can be oriented by rotating the handlebar. I made custom stickers for this model to give it a more realistic look making it similar to the real counterpart :) Last but not least there's the trailer! After all how would you save a surfer in need if your jetski is parked on the sand? :D This trailer features a winch, that allows loading the jetski and secure it, and a small wheel that can be locked in a raised position or a lowered one so the trailer can stand alone. As the contest calls for "displaying models in their operating environment" i went to take some pictures in their usual place: the seaside! After running away from a giant dog who thought my models could have been something nice to eat i've been able to shoot these pics and some clips... Then i got back home with a song in my head that could fit perfectly... Are you ready to sing along? xD that's all my mates :) i hope you'll like it !!

here's the guy who's gonna get my vote with this original creation :D awesome dude! -
ahaha you're right :P it would have been nice if it floated! i'm editing the video...are you ready to sing along?

hey tnx guys :) some tweaks made today: added handlebar light to the quad added rear lights with plate improved body design for the jetski to make it look more "rounded" now i just need to add stickers and then get to the beach :)
-
well, the quad has power functions, suspensions and tubolar chassis no differential for a better offroad ability, the handlebar rotates when you steer the model the trailer has a winch to mantain the jetski in position and the little wheel that can be raised and lowered in two locked positions the jetski has the handlebar linked to the nozzle so it rotates when turning the handlebar :P that's all
-
allright! finished :P im happy that you apreciated it! i hope it will be the same for the jetski as well :D tomorrow i'm gonna print the stickers for the final look and then i'll bring it to the beach to shoot the video :)
-
just finished the body and the trailer :) the trailer has a winch so the jetski can be loaded onto it and the small wheel can be locked in two positions just like the real thing i hope you like it! i think that for tomorrow it will be finished :)

Defining Size

mainly by its wheels :P -
hi guys! im so late with the contest!!! i hope i can finish everything for sunday! my idea is to make a quad-bike wich trails a skijet...unfortunately pamela anderson won't feature in the clip im gonna make at the beach...she said it's too cold now..:P this will probably be my fastest project ever...i've started 5 hours ago lol so here's the chassis of the quad it has supensions, RTC steering...and it's tubolar of course XD there are a few beams just to simplify something here and there :) it's really light! at the state you can see in the pic it weighs 370g... i've placed the battery in the back so once i will put it in the sand it's gonna have a light front part wich is gonna prevent it from getting stuck (at least in theory XD) i hope you'll like it! i get back on building loooool

MGB Trophy Truck
piterx replied to piterx's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
i think it should be fine...the rc motor is far from the wheels and well protected from dirt...i'm gonna test it on the dirt as soon as i can :)- 31 replies

MGB Trophy Truck
piterx replied to piterx's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
definitely yes man :) maybe on a larger scale it will just be more messy because you're gonna have more axles and connectors eheh anyway, you just need to make the right connections between the connectors...for example, you have to find a way to secure the suspensions to the chassis, in a way they don't dismount the chassis itself once you apply force on them....but it doesn't take long :P- 31 replies

the shop that i usually bought pieces from liked my mocs and asked me if i wanna do some exposition with them...now i have 40% discount on every piece i buy :P there's a chance that the shop that is sponsoring me may want to "produce" this model so i got asked from them to make instructions so they can order the pieces and sell instructions + pieces all at once...obviously i'll let you know if this is going to happend :) if it will be so, it could be probably a nice thing as you may get in a single unofficial set an RC motor, a lipo and a servo ahah but i will surely need to clean some parts of the model and make them more elegant so it's not something in the imediate future :) btw you guys are all so nice at me :D- 31 replies

the tubolar chassis is a feather! it holds the motors but it's held by motors itself i will definitely try to make a mini supercar with tubolar body too lol...just to see how fast it can go! i think i could even have a ratio of 1,5:1- 31 replies

enough :P it's ratio is 1:something because of the differential...it's just a little bit slower than the fiesta but it handles really nice on bumps and stuff like pebbles :) im editing the video...in a couple of hours it will be up i think- 31 replies

Hi there guys! It's been a while since i built something, mainly due to grand theft auto V ahah... Anyway, i got sponsored by an italian lego shop called Mangiobricks so i decided to build something with their logo like it was a racing team :D I got inspired by Egor and his sunset truck so i decided to build my own version of a trophy truck! It has 95% tubolar chassis to keep it light and simple and the body can be dismounted completely, without compromising the rigidity of the chassis itself. Suspensions are really soft to absorb every bump and avoid rolls what else...the RC motor does its job, the truck drifts on smooth surfaces :D Measures: 30,5cm x 14,5cm x 13,8cm Weight: 550g Features: - Front independent suspensions - Differential - Tubolar chassis video:
