In what world? And no, candy colored Knights is not a strong enough reason to call it a retake (the only correlation). I wonder (if Nexo Knights is ending) if some of the designers might share some scrapped ideas?

Keep in mind that some regions exclude items from the retailer catalogs that aren't going to be available in their respective countries. The leaked catalog is missing Unikitty, Powerpuff Girls, that small, perhaps canceled wave of DC Super Hero Girls, Architecture, and TLBM (which should be in there, even if it's just the Winter wave). However, my local LEGO Store hasn't restocked any of the 2018 wave NEXO Knights sets since December so... I'm on the preemptive RIP train.

Lego Universe Character Poll
PenPlays replied to Umbra-Manis's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Wait... Was this a multiple choice question? I only picked one of each. Though I guess that if it was, then I would've clicked every option so... -
Reminder that retailer catalogs can vary by region. It might not be coming out in Switzerland, but it may come out in the UK or perhaps even in the US as far as we know.

Well from an anti-NEXO Knights perspective, I can understand how someone would feel this way.

Pictures exist of it's placeholder image. So, yes, it's there, but not with any box art.

Something I mentioned in the 2018 thread regarding the docks being a "D2C" set... -
Didn't we also go for a couple months before CHIMA's death wondering if there was a Summer wave, only to find out that the last wave not only existed, but was going to launch in May? I distinctively remember that, and I wouldn't be surprised if this would happen again if my memory serves me right.

So a few things. The NINJAGO City Docks placeholder image uses the minifigure lineup from the bottom of NINJAGO City on a blank box meant for a placeholder. We do not know the minifig count. Also, these retailer catalogs are sent to small retailers that will NEVER sell D2C sets. Direct 2 Consumer sets are exclusively sold directly from LEGO, hence the name. If a retailer has access to this information, they can order that set to sell. This goes entirely against the D2C concept. That doesn't stop this set from being $150 plus, of course, as the TLNM Destiny's Bounty did just that, & was sold at all retailers. Which speaking of Destiny's Bounty, it too was wrongly assumed to be a D2C set, only for NINJAGO City to show up and blow us all away. Lastly, it seems that "Confrontation in the Throne Room," shows what appears to be Harumi spectating a battle between Samurai X and Skylor of all people. Very promising wave, but I'll need official images before I can name favorites. On that note, the Nuremburg Toy Fair is Jan. 31st and the NY Toy Fair is Feb. 17th.

The way I see it, LEGO fully believes that LU was unsuccessful as a whole, but in reality it was due to the insane pricing for the membership program. Due to this very Nintendo-like idea/excuse, I'm pretty sure that something like LU would not be considered a trump card in their book (but it damn should!).

Ninjago: Masters Of Spinjitsu TV Show Thread
PenPlays replied to Lance's topic in LEGO Media and Gaming
The new designs won't change back. Time travel is the bumpy road. Saying they're a year older is the smoother way of explaining it away. Who's to say they won't look like that when they're older? These are the same characters, are they not? Who says we will reach that day in the series? Who says that those designs are even concrete, seeing as Cole is going to stay alive by the look of things (their future not being set at the time)? If they retcon the new designs in favor of the old ones, I will feel something beyond mortal pain.- 4,591 replies

Oh... we forgot that the producers mentioned it was a time jump it seems ("...it's been a year..." -Cole). Yeah, Jay's comment makes the time-travel bit more of a "what if?", and it's been made pretty clear that the designs aren't changing. That and the fact they're still teenagers is kinda like Ash, the main character from Pokemon. Sure it's been 20 something years, but he's still 10. I guess all of his adventures could've just taken place over the course of a year, though I feel NINJAGO's story would fit better in a year as a whole in comparison (though technically we've been over three years so far of time at the minimum).- 4,591 replies

The most likely won't leak. What will happen though, is that the sets will be on display at the Nuremburg and New York Toy Fairs, with plenty of photo coverage for both. Those usually hit somewhere at the end of January/early February.

The term we are looking for is not "time-travel." The term we are looking for is "time-jump." One is a fictional, unnatural phenomenon, whereas the other is a plot/narrative device.- 4,591 replies

Or maybe it doesn't release until later in the year, and the catalog just has what's coming out in January? I recall that there has been some occasions where we would find out about an Architecture set, assume it releases one time, but instead release another.

As it is a Direct 2 Consumer set, you'll only be able to find it in store regularly at LEGO Stores. As many large retailers also have the D2C sets available on their website, they can technically accept returns on D2C sets in store. This would be the only way a D2C set ends up in a a store outside of LEGO, but as a rule of thumb, newer D2C sets are never discounted. -
It doesn't. Only Aaron's X-Bow has that... issue. Though strangely Robin and the VanByter have perfectly fine stock art laid on top of the in-game art.

Good to know. Eh... Happened to the excess Disney CMFs and Series 16's last year as well. It's just a Black Friday/Cyber Monday after effect at this point. I have fury. Further proves the point. Good to know. For context, I have also seen all three of them at Toys R Us this past week as well, that's aside from gGG! which I also saw there as well.

...What anger? With the fact it hasn't popped up at Toys R Us yet, was enough to imply that. Heck, I don't think any of us expected Lloyd to show up until January. Why stir up strife? We are all adults/mature people above the age of 16, yes? Take a chill pill, please. Eat a Snickers. Something. Considering they aren't on the website as of 25 minutes ago (and the fact that the Taj Mahal is live), I'd say that December 1st seems the most likely. Though if you have a Toys R Us nearby, you could check there. Also, RIP TLNM CMFs.

So are all the D2C sets, but they never get them. What's your point? Do you have a source/do you work at all three locations?

According to JANG, it's a Toys R Us exclusive. As has happened in the past, full waves of a theme can release early, with the store exclusives specifically being kept under wraps until the initially planned release date, all of which was December 1st. LEGO likes to release some home-made stuff early, to get more monies, then adhere to the original date for heavy hitters (i.e. TLNM), licenses, and contractual release dates for exclusives. Some Toys R Us stores having it early is simply Toys R Us being Toys R Us, and not acknowledging street dates, as they and Target have done in the past, and will continue to do.

This. With Skybound taking up some space during Summer 2016, I'd be surprised if they didn't do the same with S.O.G. Though I hope that either we get an entire other season's worth of sets alongside those extra S.O.G. sets. Though, hopefully not sacrificing a season for special (a la Day of the Departed) where very little was produced for it. OR, you know maybe having a season of sets last a whole year again. We got so much good stuff over the course of 2011 and 2012. Why couldn't we see that again? Though, I can see that, what with kids demanding more Serpentine and Skullkin (thank you Netflix), them rehashing, or producing sets from TV show scenes that never got sets (Ninjaball Run? Serpentine Train?). Those logos that were in the corners of 2016, and 2017 sets would have been excellent indicators of which sets belonged to which season, or something similar, should the future of NINJAGO include stuff based on earlier seasons.

There is something wildly soothing about the video. This must be those ASMR qualities that I've never felt until now. I take it back. The colors aren't that bad on the X-Bow. At least the warm gold is consistent, and they aren't blending in flat silver into all this. It also looks like Robin has a new head print!
