I wouldn't exactly say "most." The larger ones, definitely, but a lot went out to Overwatch influencers primarily. It's drum lacquered gold like the Lunar Lander, yes.
-
There is no disclosed information as to how many were produced of the minifig. Only influencers got the minifig, and too few even bother with Bricklink, let alone play with LEGO, hence why the part isn't listed.

They usually run this tactic with some the following year’s sets in December. Seeing as they didn’t release anything for the Summer wave of anything yet, I’d imagine they’d want to get some early sales on it.

Judging by the calendar, a bunch of $20 sets for several August themes will be showing up early in July. Shop@Home confirms this as well.

@Renny The Spaceman https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=88695&idColor=71#T=S&C=71&O={"color":71,"iconly":0} Only came in one Ben 10 set, 8411 Chromastone. It's funny that its represented in TLM2 as a solid plastic piece, because the actual part is rubber.

From what I heard is that they pulled the flail a day after launch. Probably the reason why there aren't Nunchucks of Lightning.

Project X: A Canceled LEGO TV Show and Potentially Theme
PenPlays replied to jhuyser's topic in LEGO Media and Gaming
Wonder if this show had anything to do with the naming conventions of the LEGOLand Roller Coaster by the same name? I also wonder if this show intended to run off of Galidor's tail, if, well, Galidor succeeded. -
So the exclusive minifig in the book is Teen Wu... in Master Wu's tunic? What part of this is "exclusive?"
-
It's not Major Vonreg. Should probably watch Resistance. Its surprising good.

You'd be correct that they have no association with production. Davyd's a YouTuber that thrives of clickbaiting. Of course, April Fools would be his forte, but it would seem that he wasn't very creative this time around. Though mostly children and young adults fall for his stuff regardless of the time of year, so I don't know what that says about @Ninjaguy99

The Lego Movie 2 - The Second Part 2019 Set Discussion
PenPlays replied to Fenghuang0296's topic in Special LEGO Themes
My point still stands. Getting a minifig made could mean two things. Becoming a minifig in the movie, or actually getting the person as a minifig in a LEGO set. Whether we're getting the former or both, remains to be seen. The Director usually isn't involved in the production of the sets themselves, but might have some input in their design at the start, so whether he's seen an actual set that includes her, is only something that he, or the designers would be able to say. Unless, of course, he just saw a physical prop of her made out of generic parts for those concepts that the LEGO House was displaying from TLM2's production, but again, we would need confirmation from those involved. -
The Lego Movie 2 - The Second Part 2019 Set Discussion
PenPlays replied to Fenghuang0296's topic in Special LEGO Themes
She gave permission to have a minifigure created of her. Whether that means only for the movie or in the sets remains to be seen, as USA today very well could have misconstrued that information. -
The Anotnia and set drawing leaks were unrelated, and some of the leaks that popped up at that time were turned down as speculation.

Minecraft 2019 - Rumours, Speculation and Discussion
PenPlays replied to Anonknee Muss's topic in LEGO Licensed
What is showing up is June launches for some if not all countries. Minecraft is (almost?) always in August, so it's probably gonna still be a bit. Was surprised by Bedrock Adventures last year, so I'm curious what will turn up this year. -
There was no press event, only a behind-closed-doors tour of product that LEGO always hosts to those that carry their products. Press are usually never invited.

All of the specific story stuff should probably be taken with a pinch of salt. It seems a bit early to get this kind of info at this point.

Anything, and everything regarding a "Civil War" concept for NINJAGO are fan ideas being passed as legit.
-
According to the designers, it's only good if you build it as it shows in the instructions. It does allow a little bit of leeway for kids to make mistakes while building, but the set, unfortunately cannot be heavily modified. Due to this, the color wheel positions are also deliberately placed, so the game won't function if you remove them either. And yes, each set has at least one.
-
And the answer to it not selling well is a hard reboot. A la each iteration of Transformers and Power Rangers.
-
This theme looks fantastic. One gripe though, I only see mint colored pieces, not glow-in-the-dark ones (which look white, not mint, for those curious). It's like NINJAGO 2015 all over again.
-
Always assume it's "latest." It's an evergreen theme.

LEGO does show D2Cs at Toy Fairs. Usually ones previously announced, or announced at the event proper. Nothing beyond that. Indeed the NINJAGO City Docks were not a D2C, but none of the Summer sets were publicly accessible last year at Toy Fairs, so I can understand why there was some confusion. Nothing is specifically stated that confirms whether or not any future expansions of NINJAGO City would be a D2C or not at this time.
-
Not unless it includes Reaper and Widowmaker, too. Zusammengebaut described that it was sand green, however. Might just be a minifig scale Bastion for all we know. Heck it could also be Orisa, but I can't see it being a Svyatogor, as they're primarily gray and white. Blizzard has never been too over the top when it comes to confidentiality. They also have nothing to hide, as the sets are based off of content that has been out for quite some time.
-
It's been stated that there isn't anything NINJAGO City at Nuremburg Toy Fair. Doesn't stop a potential D2C, but I really hope they don't abandon the concept.

Would be pretty cool if "Bike" is McCree on Ashe's motorcycle, but it's basically guaranteed to be Roadhog and Junkrat's bike. When I think of "Droid", I don't think of any Omnics. I'm more inclined to think it might be a Volskaya Industries hanger set, with the giant robot. Maybe throw in Sombra and Zarya while we're at it. I'd love it if it were a build-an-Orisa, tho.
