I'm willing to wait until August. As I have always thought that May/June was a bit of a rush for getting these guys out. Please, say it ain't so, milk. I can handle missing out on the Constraction figures, but this... I can't bear it. I really need those Fire Harnesses. Even if they were limited to Lego Stores/Shop@Home, I'd still be outrageously satisfied.

Lego Ninjago: Shadow of Ronin (Video game discussion)
PenPlays replied to AyliffeMakit's topic in LEGO Media and Gaming
As far as I was concerned, Minikits ended a long while ago. Then again this is was the first Lego game I had real interest in in a very long time. There are no bonus levels or missions. Every character that you do not play in the game (besides Ronin from the sets, who, by the way, never wears his straw hat) must have their respective coin picked up in Free Play. They then must be purchased with studs. All characters are priced according to their popularity (Both Pythors are outrageously expensive) You pick up Golden Bricks for completing five missions throughout the level. This can include getting "True Ninja" status, or hitting enemies with a specific character. There are, apparently, Red Bricks scattered throughout as well, but they're so expertly hidden, and quite few, that I have yet to find one! Mistake also gets a pretty cool render on the pause menu when you are scrolled over the shop symbol. Just thought I should mention that. -
Ooo! That Wu! I love their new outfits. The outfit fits Nya really well! Is there any more minifigure images? I'd like to get a better look at the other Ninja as well.

That's right! Camille isn't there either! The "mystery character" is a Spinjago Villager. I posted a character list a couple posts back if you want to see a complete list. -
Lego Ninjago: Shadow of Ronin (Video game discussion)
PenPlays replied to AyliffeMakit's topic in LEGO Media and Gaming
Console Lego games have been known to have higher detail as well as plenty of extra content. Sound quality would also be better (the game does not follow a direct storyline in the show, so there would be no VA work to cut into the game). Gameplay would probably be a bit more adventurous as opposed to the semi-sidescroller the 3DS game turned out to be. -

You know... there's a whole thread for the Video Game these images are from, and the knowledge of how his hair looks has been known for quite some time...

Lego Ninjago: Shadow of Ronin (Video game discussion)

Whats worse? She's a playable character... What's up with that? No. Other awesome/reputable characters that don't show up are Mother Doomsday, Lou, and the Overlord (for funsies). you do get to play as the Postman though, he's one of the game's first unlockables. I'm gonna compile a list here soon of the playable characters. This includes Lego's official names for all of the Ninja's outfits of recent years. It's an utter waste of time. 'Nuff said. Misako's memories were returned when Lloyd destroyed the Obsidian Glaive, so it is inferred that the Serpentine were cured as well. Lego UniverseXNinjago will always be the best Lego multi-franchise tie-in. Always. There are no exceptions! (I nearly cry every time I see you profile pic, Mandate. So many beautiful memories) EDIT: I changed my profile pic. This is all your fault, Mandate... Thank you. EDIT 2: Character List -
Ninjago: Masters Of Spinjitsu TV Show Thread
PenPlays replied to Lance's topic in LEGO Media and Gaming
The game is so full of holes, it's worth calling it non-canon, similar to "Ninjago: Nindroids." We should discuss this in the Shadow of Ronin thread found here.- 4,591 replies

Lego Ninjago: Shadow of Ronin (Video game discussion)
PenPlays replied to AyliffeMakit's topic in LEGO Media and Gaming
Ed, Edna and Misako are the only parents that showed, or were even mentioned (or playable for that matter). There is no development for any characters outside of Ronin and Zane's one little moment when Zane regained his memories (that effect the TV show, at least). The game is quite literally "point-a to point-b." There are no sidetracks. No extra missions. No special endings. No secrets. -

Completely unable. There was no development on these plot points whatsoever. It's a shame too, because this game could have been unbelievably fantastic had it been built similar to how the original Lego Star Wars games were, and would have you play through the episodes of the show. Then this would have been absolutely glorious! -
Lego Ninjago: Shadow of Ronin (Video game discussion)

I will recap the story in full once I beat the game's storyline. And hopefully more so this Summer. I've always been a sucker for the bounty hunter type character and I can't wait to see his portrayal in the show. EDIT: Spoilers Ahoy! The... end... Dang this game sucked. Besides the music, which was subpar, the game was just "wash, rinse, repeat." (i.e. Do this, Sensei tells you what to do next, do the next thing, Sensei tells you what to do next... etc.) The characters are ruined by shoddy voice acting (it's pronounced "Nee-Ya" not "Nigh-Ya" you nincompoops). The levels are very straight forward, but when it comes to special abilities, nothing is explained outside of the Ninja's abilities (the Constrictai, and the Skeletons, all of which you can earn have special do-hickeys that you can use. Nothing explains that, though). Which characters you need to choose are unclear for all of the extra tasks and characters you need to accomplish/earn in free-play mode. Speaking of which, toggling between characters that you need for free-play is cluttered due to how many lists of characters (all of which have not context as to their abilities) you need to go through. The timing and frame rate of the game is also atrocious. The Ninja's special abilities are meh. There is nothing cool or fun about this game. *sigh*... if you do have any more questions, I'll be glad to take them. -

Another something interesting is that Ronin is the one who delivered Zane to Chen's Island. Which, as Mandate has stated was primarily for money. Will update if that bit of the story gets expanded upon. The image that Mandate has posted is as good as it's gonna get for now. You can view the rest of the Jalopy from this angle in the game, and needless to say, I'm sad it hasn't been officially released yet. -
Lego Ninjago: Shadow of Ronin (Video game discussion)
PenPlays replied to AyliffeMakit's topic in LEGO Media and Gaming
I bought the game. Here are some initial thoughts. I do not like how you are thrown into the game, especially for someone who hasn't played a generic Lego Game in a while. The music is not from the show, but is still quite beautiful. Kai's twisted (in praise) retelling of the Tournament of Elements is a nice touch, especially for a tutorial level. Nearly every important character in the show so far is playable in the game (including Toxikita and Invizable from Ultra Agents). Ronin R.E.X. is referred to as "Ronin Reks"... The jokes are horrid. The voice actors are subpar, however they are growing on me. Ronin IS a demolitions expert The Obsidian Glaive can rewrite memories as well. Nearly ever object you interact with is made of Lego. This includes Ed and Edna's glorious chrome colored Jalopy (bless you for letting us reverse engineer this masterpiece, Lego). The hub world/map is small with micro models of each location you go to appearing on the map as you unlock them. This includes Spinjago Village and Kryptarium Prison. Any more questions? I'll be glad to provide them. I have yet to beat the game so I don't have answers to everything. -
Ninjago: Masters Of Spinjitsu TV Show Thread
PenPlays replied to Lance's topic in LEGO Media and Gaming
I have the game. They wear their 2011 outfits (that have an error on the back, their DX emblems) like casual wear, except for Zane. It's made to sound like Lloyd is mourning. Ask as many questions as you'd like in the Shadow of Ronin thread.- 4,591 replies

Post about Cartoons and Anime you like
PenPlays replied to Peppermint_M's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Oh... But the dub is my favorite of the two. You should have given it a chance. Suggestion time: You should watch the Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. It's slice of life, like K-On, with a touch of light sci-fi. Code Geass and Gurren Lagaan are two other dubs that you should consider (although the former has some early on casting quality issues, it gets SO much better from there). They are both much more adult yet hilarious, not to mention downright amazing! Those two are my favorite anime to date. Fairy Tail comes in pretty close too. Attack on Titan is also worth watching the dub. -
It's an anime reference that merits an explanation, something that AyliffeMakit failed to do. Not too many people are into anime, but when it comes to memes, all bets are off. To put it simply, I don't get it either. Anyhoo, Has anyone taken a good look at the retail catalog for this years summer sets? If so, are any of the three remaining Ninjago sets that we haven't seen included?

Yes, but is there going to be a game/enough games to encompass all Lego themes presently available at the time? The answer is no. Unless Lego goes along the lines of Skylanders or Disney Infinity, the idea of having all present themes covered seems more plausible, but if Lego Dimension's is more game specific like Amiibo, then all bets are off as that would require 20+ games per year. It purely depends on Lego's approach to the market. Just don't get your hopes up.

Uhh... I was commenting on just2good's post? I wasn't talking about him transforming into Lloyd. I was saying that he will enter Lloyd making them become one. Lloyd's body, with Morro's complete control and motives. And when and if (hypothetically speaking) Morro should leave, Lloyd will be Lloyd (albeit, probably disturbed) and Morro will be a separate entity again. Anyway, yes, plot details, should go in Culture and Multimedia. It doesn't matter that much. It would be cool if we got an all green variant of that piece for him, though.

Latest Chima Purchases ?
PenPlays replied to Peasantseverywhere's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
I found Iceklaw's Bear Mech at Toys R Us a while back. I've also picked up Laval's Fire Lion, Cragger's Fire Striker, Sir Fangar's Ice Fortress, and the Eris' Fire Eagle Flyer since the last time I posted. The Fire Lion is really cool with it's transformation function, but the fact that the cockpit is angled down is a bit of a bummer. Cragger's Fire Striker is awesome! I love its transformation function... That's about it. It's actually a so-so build. Sir Fangar's Ice Fortress is not as bad at Spinlyn's cavern... but as you see, I just compared it to Spinlyn's cavern. It's... okay. I love Gorzan's little mech, but that too is "meh." Wish it actually looked like a fortress, rather than a supersized Border Ambush clone Eris' Fire Eagle Flyer is, not as amazing as the Eagle Interceptor from 2013 (which I loved, by the way), but it still looks pretty impressive. I love the transformation as well. -
*Ahem*... Is there some other things you would like to say?

From Almaak to Zotax: all the planets in the LEGO galaxies...
PenPlays replied to TalonCard's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
"The Land of Chima" is a floating island above an even larger, unnamed land expanse. It is not a planet. Love it. -
That's a bit bold to say as fact... Here's what we know. -Morro wears an emblem similar to Lloyd's. -Lloyd gets possessed (Toy Fair info) -Morro is a ghost warrior -Ghosts/spirits can possess creatures/people There are signs that it is possible that Lloyd will be possessed by Morro. Will it happen? Maybe. Maybe not. It's as plausible as Ronin being the Master of Fire. Just because Morro is the main bad does not mean that he can be sidelined as Morroyd (Morro/Lloyd) takes the show. Besides, if Lloyd is to be possessed by Morro, technically possessed Lloyd is still just Morro. The only change is that he has a host.

I'd do it in a heartbeat, as there's a better chance to find Pit again, than there is of finding Meta Knight. This is coming from the guy that would do the reverse trade for a Pit (I NEED HIM SO BAD!!!... and Marth... and Villager... and Wii Fit Trainer... and Fox...). Also, did you order your Ike after New Years Day? Due to a massive lack of production on Ike, Gamestop had to push all preorders for Ike that were made after New Years Day to be picked up late this Spring. That's undeniably the reason why you haven't gotten him yet. At least you didn't preorder Dedede after New Years Day. He was delayed until late this Summer... I also find it very alarming that we STILL haven't gotten preorders available for Wave 4 from any US stores.
