The Imperial Base located in...I don´t know where...in a frozen planet in an uncharted system where the Imperial troops try to secure new energy sources and raw materials for sustaining the military effort. Although the basis of the troops are snowtroopers (109), there is a small platoon of the Special Operations Unit. This unit has many tasks, and one of them is to complement the reconaissance work of some of the drones. And these drones sometimes find a valuable prey. As soon as the location of the prey is known, a squad is send to get the pray because the Base Commander wants to arrange a BBQ. However, they don´t always arrive on time and nothing but bones is what they find. Oh! A wampa! This is rather a dangerous enemy! And the troops open fire, of course, in self defense. But a wounded wampa is a very dangerous creature, and more if it is at point blank. And the result is a stormtrooper with a leg amputated. Fortunately, the attack was reported and the evacuation APD was sent. The Base hospital was calmed. The medical officer was checking his IMPBOOK profile. The APD landed and two off-duty snowies were sent with a stretcher to help in the movement to the operating room. One of his fellows takes his leg before the injured stomtrooper gets inside. Quickly!!! The medical droid, also known as "You´d rather not meet me" is ready and starts the work. Wow! The leg is in place! It is so fast that the stormtrooper runs away. His fellow and the doctor are impressed. Have two additional pics of the Hospital. Enjoy! You can check it on mocpages, http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/393662

It´s so big you will have to pay taxes!!! The wheels are very ingenious and allow (I expect so) smooth movements. I will try to check it to admire the progress! Go for it!

something funny! Enjoy!

Funny pics of my AT-AT and a "sister" we have for a few days. Now you will understand why I call my AT-AT "the cat". Enjoy! The AT-AT is paying no attention to the lovely pussycat walking around. So many detection devices and the AT-AT doesn´t even move his head... But the pussycat insists... The pussycat thinks...What strange ears and moustache this cat has!!! Is the AT-AT her mum? And this short story finishes with a kiss. As you see, our pets and legos are able to live together. Enjoy! Merry Christmas!

Hi! Sorry for answering so late! You can take any ideas for your At-At. Another brother for my At-At is always welcome! Merry Christmas too!

Can you show any pictures to see what you have? best regards.

Hi again!!! "The Cat”. Well, “The Cat” strikes back!!! During a long time in Africa, I decided to make some improvements in the At-At. Those improvements were: -to cover with tiles as much surface as I could. Due to the fact that this At-At is covered with plates, in some areas I couldn´t use tiles to cover the studs. -to enlarge the central area of the hull in 1 stud. This allowed more room inside and the covering would be easier to build, because the central area would be 18 studs long and 18 is an “easier” number to make combinations of plates and tiles. -to decrease the number of troops inside. In fact, now I have 8 troops in the lower deck, bow. 11 troops in the middle deck, bow. 14 troops in the middle deck, center. 11 troops in the top deck. With 4 inside the cockpit, that makes…48 troops. More than stated in the SW books. And, of course, 5 speeder bikes. Pictures!!!! The cockpit, with all the panes removed. As you may remember, 2 drivers, 1 gunner-troop commander and 1 gunner-deck officer. General Veers aiming at the Echo Base Generators The final orders to the Snowtrooper Commander Details of the roof, with the aiming device. Now, inside the beast… Bow, lower and middle deck. The emergency hatches can be seen. Detail of the fire extinguishers and emergency lights Center, middle and upper deck. The speeder bikes can be seen also. Rear, with the speeder bikes and a free space that can be used for many purposes (more troops, a galley, toilets, beds...) Close up of the speeder bikes. Ready to go in 5 minutes. Rack for personal weapons A last image before adding the covering Now, the AT-AT with everything Hope you like the improvements!!!!

A good way to save weight is using plates instead of bricks, as I did in my creation. Another good way is using technic bricks, I think the big ones are ligther than the standard bricks. The joints were also a problem for me, so I had to double the joints in "knees" and "hips". Anyway, excellent job!!!!!!!!!!

Very funny, indeed that is a very good moc. Congratulations!

A very realistic droid rack. Congratulations!!!!!

Ultimate Collectors Scale All Terrain Armoured Transport
sigpro replied to cavegod's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I must say that your At-At is impressive. The external details are very well done. The pity is, as you say, the weight and the lack of room inside. Such a big creation deserves a detailed inner area for the troops and the speeder bikes. I bet that you will be able to find a way to make it lighter and get room inside so that you can add seats and weapons for the minifigs, like in my smaller At-At. Congratulations!!!!!!!! -
What about one of the snowspeeders being stepped by the At-At while Luke escapes? And the other one attempting to down the At-At with the winch.

Hi again. I post new pics of the base, of the command and hospital buildings. You can see the new model of Dropship, which carries 6 soldiers fully protected, and can be use to transport wounded personnel. Can you see the webbed dish close to the dropship? It will be the tractor beam projector, which will help the dropships take land safely on the landing pad. On the upper-right corner of the pic you can see one of the turrets. A small close-up on the hospital. A small close-up on a strange array of antennas for the Command building. I have read many comments telling me that the building is dull, so I decided to add something interesting. I hope you like it! Best regards.

Just increase the size of the snowspeeder of set 7666 and I assure you that you won´t be upset with the result. This is the standar snowspeeder from set 7666 Greetings.

"but it's got a case of brewers droop" Maybe you mean it is not fully stable, isn´it? I remember that your ATAT´S legs were not fully poseable, I mean that the joint on the "hips" allow movement, but not in the "knees". How did you join the legs to the body? Maybe using a different system you can have it more stable. Anyway it looks very good!!!

I had heard about this model, I had read that it existed, but your MOC makes us see that it was something special. You created "the dream" of many of us, a mix between a Tie and an X-wing. The details of the cockpit -the piolets used as control joysticks is a good idea- and the rest -the back of the cockpit with the engines- are excellent. good job!
-
I agree with Walter, they are ok. If you could add any decorated dish for the "knees", it would add more detail. Try putting a 6x6 decorated dish on the knees.

Very good moc. The detail inside the hangar is very goog, so it is the turret. I only miss a few funny pics of the stormtroopers after Vader´s leaving. thanks!

Don´t care if your ATAT is "bigger" than stated in the books, you ARE proud of your moc (and we are happy for your sharing with us) Now the next step -if it is possible-, fill the interior with stormies and bikes!!! What you say about Luke winching, this is what I used to get an approximate size: Considering that Luke is about 1,8 metres tall (it is very hard to check the right size of a man with that pic) because, although he has his arms up, his legs can´t be completely extended down), the size of the AT AT is ABOUT 25 metres. Regards!

I like your landing pad. I suggest you should add some lights to illuminate the pad, so the landings will be easier; also you could add some fences, so the landing pad will be safer, as nobody could fall. Thanks for sharing!

Wow, it is impressive! Regarding the size, there are many different sizes for the AT AT. Many say that it is 20,22,25,30 metres tall. It is not a fixed size, I think. For example I used a size comparing Luke´s climbing the AT AT and getting to a size of about 25 metres (a bit more) (supposing that a stormtrooper is 1,85 metres tall and the minifig is 4,25 cms tall; my AT AT is 58 cms tall). If a stormtrooper is taller than 1,85 metres, better for me, the AT AT could measure even 26 metres. It is easy to find documents that say the AT AT is even smaller http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/All_Terrain_Armored_Transport 22,5 metres tall http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Walker_%28Sta...ort_.28AT-AT.29 says that they may be from 15 to 22,5 metres. In my opinion, any lego AT AT which tries to be minifig-scale should measure, at least, 25 metres "in the real". Why do I say that? I have built one that fits even more stormtroopers than a "real" AT AT should carry (47 against 42, and I have a 4-minifig cockpit) and I can fit 5 speeder bikes. If a lego scale AT AT is smaller than mine -and I consider that my AT AT is small, it is small compared with CAVEGOD´S-, I don´t know how to fit so many stormtroopers and 5 speeder bikes to make it "real". Your AT AT is impressive!!!!

The overall appearance is excellent! The bricks and slopes give a SNOT look very good, but I suppose that the weight will keep on increasing, doesn´t it? Will you be able to put minifigs and speeder bikes inside? Bye!

I concur with the previous posts. The design is excellent and the door is outstanding. Maybe I would have changed the colour of the floor. Instead of white I would have chosen a dark bluish gray. Thanks!

2 pics of my Base under construction, one of them with my AT-AT providing close escort. I hope you like it and figure out how big everything is. Enjoy!!
