  11. If we are lucky we may see it on S@H Australia by xmas......... I reckon it looks quite impressive with some cool functions in it
  12. wow, thanks for the compliment I tried to stay away from studded and system parts as much as possible for this bike, but I might get some of those parts and give them a try on my next MOC. Thanks for the tip
  13. I threw this together over 2 evenings Its ugly and not built well but good fun as a learning project It will be raided for parts when I need them during my next attempt still, I learnt a lot and now I'm keen to keep on trying It has 4wd using 2(x) - L motors, 1 (x) servo motor for steering, 1(x) M motor for the winch and LED lights on top.
  14. Excellent!!, c'mon Brissy/SE QLD guys, time to show yourselfI just ordered a heap of PF, suspension & steering parts from BL. I'm planning my next couple of builds already LOL
  15. Nah, I offered to send it to them but they just wanted the serial number on the bottom. The guy was very apologetic and really cool, great customer service. I got a follow up email also apologizing and telling me that QC will look into it and my new motor is on its way from Denmark. The fact that they instantly apologized and offered a replacement for an expensive servo motor is a bit telling though......... Issues.....
  16. Quality issues sound right, I have a new servo motor in the mail right now from Lego to replace the one from my 9398. The one I have turns almost 180 degrees right and about 45 degrees left or anywhere in between when it feels like it.....
  17. thanks for the kind comments guys
  18. I have been playing around with this for over a year and it has been through a number of changes and rebuilds. Its has a loose resemblance to my twin brothers Honda CB400-4 and I built it as a gift for him for our birthday in a couple of months time. I originally had a 2 cylinder technic engine in it but as its a 4 cylinder bike I took that out and crammed in a 4 cylinder engine based on the one in the 9393 b model. It is driven by a series of gears that connects to the chain. There are a few things I could do differently or change but after tinkering with it so much I will now just leave it alone. The rear guard has been painted as Lego does not make it in silver and the only other modified part is the pneumatic tubing that has been cut to length. This is my first technic MOC
  19. I just finished building this one, I don't have many studded technic sets but this one holds its own next to the 3 studless front end loaders on the shelf :-)
  20. Posting it here?? Ahhh doubtful, its embarrassing lol I will have to take a good pic of my Honda CB400-4 moc and post it now that it's done. (The avatar pic is an early version)
  21. Doc, you have inspired me, I made my first PF moc........ I ripped apart a 2nd hand 9398 I bought from eBay for the PF, suspension and portal parts and made my very own crawler. :-D
