Marvel Superheroes 2025 - Rumors & Discussion

Thanks for confirming. Didn't realize she appeared in MCU comics. That makes sense about Sylvie. And I remember Lorelei. Isn't it funny how Lorelei ended up in the MCU, albeit as a TV character, but her far more famous sister still hasn't made an appearance? The Enchantress was Marvel's first major villainess and their second most iconic after Mystique so it's rather a shame she's never shown up. Although considering the quality of the MCU these days, that might be a blessing after all. -

The Enchantress is in the MCU? I never saw Loki S2 so is this Amora from the comics or Sylvie becoming the Enchantress? That's exciting. I'm far more interested in that than the Spider-Verse CMF series. I hope this means we can maybe expect Jubilee too (although I still think she'd need a CMF series to get the level of detail she needs). -

Castle looks lovely. Can see some stained glass windows as well. I would have preferred the castle to be more grayish white like in the movie but I can understand why the lavender version from the Disney Parks is considered more marketable. I'm a little disappointed with the Beast. Wish they didn't reuse that rather cartoony minidoll head. I'm glad his legs are dual molded but the brown meant to represent his fur doesn't even match the shade of brown for his head. But looking at it more closely, it's possible those brown legs aren't supposed to represent his fur but the brown boots he wears in human form. The white gloves are weird since he never wears them as a Beast or a prince but I'm assuming that was done so Lego wouldn't have to pick between brown hands for his fur or flesh hands for his human hands. The white gloves are neutral and can work for both his human and Beast forms. Would also have liked some side printing on the legs to show the gold lines on his pants, especially since I doubt we'll be getting many minifigs in this set, so they may as well give extra attention to the few actually in the set. I am excited to see the interior of the set. I hope we get the grand staircase, Belle's bedroom, the West Wing, the library, the ballroom, the kitchen, the dining room, and the room with the fireplace. Also the tower with the dungeons. -

Isn't butterbeer only mildly alcoholic? Not enough to get inebriated from unless you drank tons and tons of it, unlike firewhiskey? I think Lego wouldn't have a problem with butterbeer because the public would go by the real life butterbeer you can buy at Universal which is definitely non-alcoholic and child friendly, rather than the book version. But you're right that we've never gotten a Hog's Head set before. Are there no official medieval tavern sets? I never realized Lego actively avoids taverns and pubs. Knockturn Alley could still potentially connect to Gringotts. Outside of B&B, I couldn't think of anything else that would work, hence why I think the Leaky Cauldron would be the best choice to pair with it. If nothing else, at least the wall facade from to form an entrance to Diagon Alley. But I can see Hogsmeade working as an alternative to Diagon Alley especially something like Zonko's Joke Shop acting as a replacement for Weasley's Wizarding Wheezes. We've never had a Quidditch set with two sets of hoops. Or even two sets of stands, so there could be one set on each side of the pitch. And it would be nice to get at least one set where we get a full Quidditch team of 7 players, including Katie Bell, Angelina Johnson, and Alicia Spinnet. With reusable torsos and legs, I don't think it would be impractical for a D2C Quidditch set to feature 14 minifigs if 7 of them share the same Gryffindor torsos and capes and the other 7 feature the same Slytherin torsos and capes. -

I hope it's the Quidditch Pitch because we've never gotten a definitive set on that. Just smaller iterations that always focus on Gryffindor vs Slytherin. Wondering if we might also get Knockturn Alley to to match with the Borgin and Burkes GWP. The GWP is clearly meant to connect to something. I wonder if another D2C Diagon Alley set could feature both Knockturn Alley and the Leaky Cauldron. -

I'm hoping if the Staircase Tower set does feature Dumbledore's Office, that it actually features a working entrance with a staircase that dials up. I was disappointed the last Dumbledore's Office set didn't include that feature and just had the entrance to his office as a sticker. -

They didn't make a big fig for the Thing in the upcoming Fantastic Four set so it's unlikely they'll make one for the Beast. I think a minifigure suits him better anyway. -

I can definitely see the interest in Deadpool and Daredevil, if it wasn't for their ratings, but I'm pretty sure Lego skipped Thunderbolts knowing that it'll be DOA. For general audiences, the only character they recognize and care about is Bucky. There's maybe slight audience recognition for Yelena and that's it. And once you start filling a team up with Disney+ characters, we have another Marvels situation. Lego skipping out on Thunderbolts was a very safe choice for them because it's an untested property and one that's likely to go the way of the Eternals. That being said, I did like John Walker and he was one of the only good things about the Falcon and Winter Soldier TV show. So it is a shame there's no incoming minifig for him. -

Based on how badly the new Captain America is opening, it's easy to see why Lego is playing it safe for future MCU films and not making a surplus of sets like they used to. -

I feel Harry Obsorn would be included, especially as he would also probably just reuse pieces. I just hope that Harry and Norman get a new hairmold for their distinctive hair as seen in the Daily Bugle "vote for mayor" screen. -

That would make sense. I think Daredevil is supposed to be in that show too so maybe we could get another minifig for him. Isn't Peter supposed to be a high school student in that show though? Or is he a college student with his own apartment? -

Maybe a Fisk Tower or Hell's Kitchen set as an add-on. Especially if Oscorp Tower is designed to fit in with these sets as well, then a Fisk Tower set could follow. I could see the shawarma shop from the first Avengers fitting in too. -

Yeah, I'm expecting something similar to the previous Disney train. I forgot that we don't have Bo Peep in her original dress. Hope we can get a minifigure of that finally. Especially with her sheep since the Toy Story 4 sets weirdly omitted them. If this Toy Story set is meant to represent the first film instead of the later ones, because of the 30th anniversary, then hopefully that would increase the chances to see Bo Peep and her sheep. I think there's a licensing issue with the Potato Heads. Maybe Slinky Dog as well. -

That makes more sense. It didn't seem logical to connect those two sets. A playset Oscorp Tower bodes well for a D2C version down the line. We got multiple Daily Bugles, Avengers Towers, and the Sanctum Sanctorum as playline sets before their D2C counterparts. At least we should finally get Norman and Harry minifigs. I'm not sure why people are surprised about the lack of X-Men sets. We were already told the X-Mansion was a one and done. Lego was waiting to see how that sold before committing to more sets. -

Isn't the deli set themed to ITSV? Weird that it connects to a comic book version of Peter's apartment. Just hoping MJ shows up in one of these sets. The ban on her has been weird. Really want a 616 Gwen as well. -

WALL-E and EVE will be fun. Toy Story makes sense because it has its anniversary this year. I think it won't include any new minifigures since everyone major has already been covered. Online people are also speculating if the $300 set could be something parks related like the Haunted Mansion or Epcot. Too bad it's probably not the Sleeping Beauty castle from Disneyland or Paris. -

There was no Oscorp Tower in the Raimi films. It's probably based on the ASM movies where it's the major location and origin of both Spidey and his villains. Would have preferred a modular though. -

Yeah, I'm sure Disney has final say here considering they were obviously the ones pushing for that ill-fated mermaid remake set. Lego would have known that was a surefire flop. I was wondering if might be a pirate ship. But Lego Icons is making the Black Pearl remake set so it can't be this one. And while Lego has shown a propensity to go back to Peter Pan over and over, it wouldn't make sense to make a Jolly Roger ship set if they're bringing back the Black Pearl this year as well. This is the anniversary of Mary Poppins so I wonder if we could get a Cherry Tree Lane set. Especially since several were submitted to Lego Ideas. -

I wonder if the bad response to the last Thor movie is why Lego cancelled this set, because they don't find Thor to be strong enough to sustain his own sets now, outside of that Ragnarok set. If so, it also doesn't bode well for an Asgard D2C set. -

I don't know if I believe that Lego would make another Disney Castle set, especially one so close in price to the one currently on shelves already. With the original Disney Castle, they did make a Frozen Ice Castle, but that had a completely different look and was also a minidoll set so it catered towards a different demographic. The current Disney Castle set also has a lot of BATB references and easter eggs so to get another castle set based entirely on BATB, likely bringing back some of those easter eggs (library, dining room, rose), would seem like too much of an overlap. Most consumers are unlikely to purchase both if they already have one. If this set is real though, I hope it features minifigs of the enchanted objects in human form. Also that the castle looks like it does in the movie with gray walls and red turrets rather than how it's depicted in the Disney Parks with purple walls and pink turrets. They should aim this set towards Disney collectors and general fans rather than the young girl demographic that likes everything pink and glittery. I think the first edition was more discontinued because the Disney 100 branding was already out-of-date. Not to mention, Disney's 100th anniversary was such a mega-flop and failure on all levels that the branding was probably more likely to hurt it than help it. We'll see if this current castle lasts on shelves as long as the original did. I think the original lasted 6-7 years. The closet parallel would be the Death Star set which was on shelves longer than an ordinary set because of how well it sold. Then as soon as it was discontinued, a second version was made which upgraded the set but was mostly the same. I don't remember how long the shelf life for the second version of the Death Star was. -

I'm hoping we can get an MJ figure. Especially since Marvel won't let us have a comic-based MJ minifig anymore but a Kirsten Dunst one should be allowed. This does bode well for the Goblin. He's long overdue for a remake. -

This was my first thought too. Would love to see the PS game made into a Lego set, especially if it paves the way for sets based on the Insomniac Wolverine game. It's really weird that this is the year Lego is going all out for Spider-Man stuff. The Raimi films, ITSV, and now the Insomniac game. I wonder if Lego's MCU stuff has been selling so poorly the last few years that this is just the first year that they've gotten everything together to focus on purely Spider-Man content since he's a sure bet unlike the new MCU films. -

Same, I would have loved a Sleeping Beauty castle set. Especially if they used the Disneyland Paris design because there are some excellent MOCs for that. I don't think the new castle has really been selling all that well since it's basically just a reskinned version of the original castle set. By this time, most everyone who wanted that castle would already have bought the original during its long shelf life. I would definitely like more Disney minifigs, not just for new characters but also new minifigs of previously existing characters who weren't done well the first time around. Namely Snow White, Cinderella, Aurora, and Sorcerer's Mickey since their minifigs were more based on how they look in the Disney Parks or merchandise rather than how they look in the movies. But I'd also like to see more animal molds. There are a lot of classic Disney animal characters who deserve the Lego treatment like Figaro, Thumper, Flower, Timothy Mouse, Jaq, Gus, Lady, Tramp, Pongo, Perdita, Abu, Iago, Timon, Pumbaa, Zazu, Meeko, Flit, Percy, Djali, Scuttle, etc. -

That might not be that bad an idea though. We'll want at least one regular FF torso. Sue's will be female-based. Johnny's will probably be on fire and Ben's will be rocky and orange so having one standard FF torso would be good. Let's hope, I'd love to see sets on the Raimi movies. And that train scene still holds up today, way more iconic than most things in the entire MCU. -

Twice now they've been unable to come up with a good Lilo hairstyle. If I'm correct, this is the Mulan hairpiece. Lego seems to not want to invest in a proper Lilo hairmold as they keep giving Lilo someone else's sloppy seconds and now Nani is getting the same treatment. I don't know what the live-action Lilo looks like but I'm almost wondering if this Lego minifig is more supposed to resemble her. Lilo's legs bother me a little less because at least her previous minifigure has the skirt piece. I still haven't bought that set yet but that can at least be switched out and fixed. Looking more closely at Nani, is that just Pocahontas' face reused? It's one thing to reuse the hair, but it seems like they took the head as well. If that's the case, then the Nani minifig is literally just the castoffs of the Pocahontas minifig. It's not a common enough skin tone in Lego to even find an alternative head that would match her skin. In the movie, Nani wears shoes that look like ugs but that's definitely not the case here. Agreed on everyone else. Stitch I think is actually a brighter blue than the more pale/powder blue of his original minifigure. He's actually a dark blue in the movie but this is a step in the right direction to make him slightly darker since I've said before that his minifig was not movie accurate to his fur color. And yeah, with Cobra Bubbles, I haven't much to say because there isn't much to him that could be messed up. Yes, I just noticed that too. First Lilo had the Pocahontas hairpiece. Then they gave Nani that hair so they gave Lilo Mulan's hair instead. Which is rather ironic since Mulan's hair wasn't even accurate for her minifigure (she should have had a short shoulder-length hairpiece). And it seems Nani has the Pocahontas head along with the hair. That's true, the original house is yellow before it's rebuilt with the tech modifications. Disney has even released a playset for the house that was based on the original yellow iteration. Stitch's spaceship being included (plus all the easter eggs from the final song of the film, Burning Love) are probably why they went with the redesigned house from the end of the movie, especially since that's how it looked in the sequels and show. It would have been nice to include yellow pieces that can essentially reskin the house along with removing the observatory.
