  1. I so can't wait! Jeez, especially for the CMF! That's gonna be a super-cheap way to get minifigs without buying expensive sets I might not have liked. Also, now when it's confirmed Homer has a regular torso without an additional belly, I bet fatter characters like Wiggum or Comic Book Guy will have it, either one big head-belly combo, or something like the shell from TMNT, to show the difference between various fatsoes. Which is kinda funny, because it's Homer's fatness what is a running joke (last time used in The Hobbit couch gag, I guess).
  2. Here's my entry, a small wooden-like nativity scene based on a souvenir we bought in Jerusalem while on holiday. Hope you like it. Great entries everyone and good luck to you all! Happy Thanksgiving!
  3. Yay, my first tag! Thank you, Peppermint, as a fan of Ancient Egypt I'm pleased by your choice. Will you still draw the winner, or did this idea fall with giving a tag to everyone?
  4. I don't understand how could you dismiss Captain America 2 sets after seeing two minutes long teaser. I was personally really looking forward to them, especially after it was definitive there won't be any Thor 2 sets. I was hoping for updated Cap and Black Widow (now when we have the perfect hairpiece they don't use it? Although she has longer hair than last time.), Falcon, Winter Soldier, maybe even proper Fury, and of course some nice builds, and we get another expensive lab set with Hulk instead, based on some stinking cartoon?
  5. Thanks a lot! I still had to slightly zoom them, but I can finally imagine how big they actually are. Yes, the heads are oversized compared to the bodies, but it's still small enough and still looks like a minifigure.
  6. So, I was thinking about Emmet's eyes and I have a theory: maybe he has no pupils because he's the Chosen one or whatever he's called? Like, all regular minifigs have standart black-and-white eyes, whereas Emmet, the special figure, has only black. Also, I don't know if you have noticed, but on bios page on TLM microsite is stated President Business is a famous businessman and Lord Business is his other secret identity, a criminal mastermind trying to glue the world together. I guess that solves the confusion of the name inconsistency.
  7. Love this! I'm really fascinated by H. P. Lovecraft's works and this MOC makes it for me.
  8. The problem is photos just2good posted are not taken under the straight angle (this is not a complaint, they are great and very bright so you can see all the details). Thus I can't imagine how big the heads really are.
  9. I would take a regular front view photo and then resized to be the same size as the real thing, that means 4 cm high.
  10. I would also like to receive a tag. I don't have any yet and when I found out the winner will be drawn randomly, I was a bit sad.
  11. Love the figure and can't wait to see all of them! Episode-based costume also adds a lot. The only thing that bugs me is slightly too big collar, but oh well. Justin, if it's not too much trouble, could you please try to take a picture of figures in 1:1 ratio, like seen on top of the boxes? Thank you in advance.
  12. Well, as you always say, only time will tell. Till then, I'll stand by my prediction. I guess they will have short legs which makes me worried. I hope they print them. Heads should be smaller for sure, if Ned and Homer's are too big, imagine how weird would look those kids' heads, even on shorter figs.
  13. Dude, I already said that, like, two months ago, but I'm sure Maggie will be a single mould, something like Salacious B. Crumb. Minifigure of her would look awful and out of proportion. Shall we make a bet? Would it be fine to start a little guess game in this thread?
  14. Poor Constable Crane. He always chased criminals of London and was happy doing his routine job. But then, out of the blue, he was sent to small village in America called Sleepy Hollow to investigate a few mysterious murders. All victims were decapitated and their heads were missing. While searching for clues in a pumpkin patch, he's soon gonna find out the culprit is a little less ordinary this time... Before Now Happy Halloween!
  15. Few thought about the sets: Junior line is crap, especially the Batcave. But it may be a cheap way to get the figs. I'll keep my decision until I see the price tag. That... Spider-car is ridiculous, but judging on its piece count the pruchase is no brainier; if the price is $10, it's fine (although $7 would be better) and it shouldn't be too expensive here. From DC stuff, I'll probably pass the first three sets, they are not worth buying for figures alone (Penguin, Man-Bat, Nightwing, Flash), but I'll see. Will consider the Steam Roller, this one is worth it, it looks. Some unique figs and nice funny steam roller. From Marvel sets, I will consider buying the first two. Doc Ock truck would be pass for me, but if they really put SDCC Spidey ("The Superior Spider-man", that's how they call him in the game) in it, I must get it. The helicopter in the biggest set is ugly, but the selection of figs is nice. So, looks promising. I can't wait to see proper images. However, I wish I could say the same about sets CM4S gave us description of. I still haven't forgiven TLC not making any sets based on Thor 2 and they are gonna do the same with CA:TWS? I mean, there are two great movies every year and they waste the space with some ugly cartoons? Yes, I would like to see M.O.D.O.K., Red Skull and Hulk again, but I want - and it makes much more sense to make them, too - figs from MCU movies. After seeing the care IM3 got I was looking forward to improved Loki, Odin, Jane Foster and many more. Nothing. Then new variations of Cap, improved Black Widow and Falcon and... nothing? C'mon LEGO, you can't be serious.
  16. Are you telling me there will be more than six sets next year, and instead of fully taking advantage of this, they still release three Spider-man sets? It would be great to have three sets for CA:TWS, three for GotG, another three for X-Men to coincide with the release of DoFP movie, and one with Spidey; 10 sets would be just right, neither too much, nor too little. I also hope this year's sixth set that still remains secret will be a Thor 2 one, or maybe they will surprise us and we will get three sets like we did with Iron Man. Also, I don't get this Junior thing. It's all quite underwhelming news.
  17. You're fine, I'm the one who's really gonna lose this one. You can always buy a console version, keep the figure and sell the game, even for a full price if lucky, whereas I can't even pre-order it. I really don't understand such restrictions: available only as a pre-order bonus, for console versions only, limited to certain store and of course, only a few countries. Not to mention it's a character that should have been included in a regular set. Had it been War Machine, I would understood. But not Iron Patriot. This is all absolutely stupid! Oh, and I have asked LEGO three times on their Facebook page if it's gonna be more widely available, but they didn't bother to reply.
  18. It was sarcasm, sorry for not being obvious. My point was, saying TS are no longer popular is like saying the same about TMNT. These are just stereotypes coming from the fact both shows started in 80s and were on peaks of their popularity back in these days. Anyway, back on topic. I think The Simpsons' house should be more bigger than this one that fits in £70 price range - something in the size of Haunted House would be much better. It could flip open too and include all the crucial details. I bet the house will have Bart's treehouse, fence with Flanders, Homer's car and the couch with TV for sure.
  19. I think all the licenses cost almost the same. And it is still very popular. Maybe not as good as it used to be, but still great and popular. This question of yours is like if you asked "Do you think the LR and PoP licenses were cheap because everyone knew they were going to be fail movies?" or "Do you think the TNMT license was cheap because it's so 1980s and no one cares about it?".
  20. I'm gonna say the same thing I replied to your post on Brickset over this topic - I'm pretty sure Maggie will be a single mould, something like this, anything other would look extremely awful and weird. Putting a minifig torso on the slope and call it a toddler? C'mon!
  21. I was just thinking about finally getting an avatar and then I saw the "Avatar yourself" post. And now this! This is a great oppurtunity to get one. But can I join as well, though I don't have any?
  22. I will try it too. I didn't guess on Series 8 so now's my time. I've been planning to guess since the thread started, but I was postponing it again and again. A lot of great ideas appeared here so I added them to my own ideas. However, I couldn't push myself to sit and choose the best ones. I finally did it a few days ago. Although there are about 40 figs on my list, it wasn't easy to pick up the sixteen. I was trying to pick up the ideas that are likely to be done. I know there are some that will hardly be produced, but I couldn't resist. So, without further talking, here are my two cents: 1) Golf player - Dressed in traditional clothes: checkered colourful sweater and a typical hat. Comes with a golfclub and maybe even a bag for clubs. A golfball would be good, but it's not probable. 2) Judge - Black gown, wig and gavel and printed tile representating case files. 3) Violin player - Comes with a violin and a bow. Maybe a member of the orchester, so suitable clothes. 4) Camper/Fisherman - Bucket hat, probably fishing rod, maybe a bag and a frying pan. 5) British policeman - Hat, handcuffs and baton, a whistle would be nice, too. Could be dressed like in the 19th century, in a long trenchcoat. 6) Frontier or something - Davy Crockett hat, rifle. 7) King - Modern looking, with new crown mold, scepter and globus cruciger and cape representating royal robe. 8) Riot policeman - Black helmet with clear visor, clear shield or maybe black with visor, and a baton. If the rumours about a SWAT police subtheme are true (have you seen the Chase McCain minifig?), this doesn't look improbable anymore. 9) Ancient citizen - Toga suited man with a scroll. Could be Greek or Roman, philosopher, Senate member, even an emperor, or just a regular citizen. 10) Igor/Hunchback - He may appear in the second wave of Monster Fighters next year (I hope there will be one), and if not, it would be a nice addition to the horror theme in the CMF line. 11) Stewardess/Flight attendant - Blue uniform, hair/hat combo (or just a hat attachable to hair with a hole in it), and a tray. 12) Scout - Uniform, hat (the new forest police one or a new mould), bandana, and trumpet. Boy would be better. 13) Old man/woman - A cute old person, with a new cane mould. Grandpa should have a beard, grandma some new curly hair. 14) Fencer - Helmet and sword. Would be a great addition to the sports theme and a very remarkable figure. 15) Barber - Man or woman with scissors and hairdryer. We need scissors and hairdryer is the best other thing I could imagine. 16) Director - Hat (the Golf player's, maybe), megaphone, maybe a screenplay on tile.
  23. Thanks for this traditional review, WhiteFang, I was expecting this soon. Your detailed photos always show CMF in all their glory and can help with deciding which ones I should get. Seeing Alien Vilainness now, I will propably buy her. I liked her at the very first moment when first photos showed up, because I don't have any Alien Conquest sets and thus non of these aliens. But I realized soon it's a re-hash and doesn't even worth buying. Seeing her now, I've changed my mind. These part are great - beautiful cape, alien head, brain piece, pink minifigure head, slope and some nice printing. Overall minifigure is nice, too. I was wondering too, but I assumed WhiteFang had been mistaken. The number of comments increased a lot over night, so I checked if anyone had asked this already. Someone actually had and WF was really wrong, he meant this part.
  24. This looks like an interesting project. I will keep watching. Can't wait to see a result. Just tell me, do you base it on the look in movies, or desciption in books (that means mostly on your fantasy)?
  25. I would love to join. I have only done two reviews so far and having troubles with taking good photos discourages me from doing any other. Both reviews were for my LUG forum and it's not like here. The review there are as dull as the whole forum. Only a few boring pictures that don't worth for all the work with taking and uploding photos. I want to make great reviews for Eurobricks where people appreciate them, and become a signifigant member of this community.
