  1. Newspaper is cool, but I agree he's too plain. I like every piece on him, black bowler hat, new suit, newspaper, head, so I have no problem with him, but as a whole fig, he's too easy. They should have given him something special, like umbrella or new walking cane piece. Yes, and many other kinds of newspapers in a lot of sets, but the point is that this newspaper is new. So yes, it is special, every new kind of this is a good news for me (too bad these in Haunted Hause are stickers ). Exactly the same with suit. The black bowler hat should be used in the future very often, it's very iconic great hat I've been waiting for for quite a while. It has endless possibilities in MOCs. Anyway, I don't think this fig is boring, just too easy.
  2. Next time, you must switch to his account, there are all the photos. The link above is for the set of the figs, not for the details shots.
  3. Thank you for detail shots of new tiles, Bizzy! Newspaper looks great, but I slowly start thinking that the figure is meant to be a contemporary bank bussinesman gent than a Victorian one. Ahem, you mean mine.
  4. Thank you for the photos, Bizzy. But I'm a little shocked you already have the minifigs - how did you get them? And can you make some more photos, please? I'm curious about the trader's newspaper, DJ's records, double-sided heads (a few pages back someone says only Thespian has one, really?), back printings of torsos (again - is the diver only one who has it?) and legs and side printings.
  5. Crap, I'm one minute late! Had problems with inserting photos and you were faster. I'm aboslutely amazed. Old style diver, as expected, 'Trader' is really from 19th century, Giant vampire-like Vampyre. These predictions were right. What suprises me is Shakespeare-ish actor, 'Ancient Thespis' was clearly mistranslated, but he's great. Conquistador looks fantastic, too. And the Bavarian guy with pretzel! Superb series!
  6. This list has gotten a lot of attention, so I will share some thoughts with you. About the translation. I tried to be as accurate as possible, and I think I was succesful. A lot of people were doubting and asking, and I was curious, too, so I decided to get more information from that seller who confirmed it's true. I sent her a message last night, and she replied that the list given by TLC was in Czech, without any photos, and they are expected to be delivered in mid-August. She also wrote that she will try to get some photos. Now something about hot topics. You all who say that -a means female in Czech, you are right, but in case of Vampire this is something different. That word is in accusative and the suffix -a means inflection this time. And I would never translate "Female Vampire" as "Vampire". Nevertheless, I hope it was wrong translated before and it will actually be a female vampire. I recommend you to read what Ardelon has written: Now about the Evil Female Alien. The original name consists of two words, because you can see the original word ends on -ka, and that means - female, of course. No Czech word for "female" is included and that's why it was translated as "Evil Alien". Again, I wouldn't do such a trivial error. Trader. Now this is a little tricky. The original word doesn't say much, it could mean merchant, bussinesman, peddler, market seller, even from any historical era. My personal tip is a contemporary peddler, but Victorian English gentleman in black bowler hat would be perfect, this minifigure is on my wanted list. I chose 'Trader' because it's as neutral as the original word. If I used 'Bussinesman' and it would be 'Merchant', you would propably be like "See? I told you." No. The translations are often lame and sound weird (too long or too brief), but translate Monster as a Vampire? Nah.
  7. No, of course not. Here's the link: http://www.babytoy.cz/lego-minifigurky-8-serie.html. The description is same every time, but the list of characters varies by series.
  8. I wrote on Brickset some ideas and what I thought when I saw it first time. I translated all the names from Czech, and the original word is as neutral as "trader" in English. It can be anything.
  9. Hello everyone, I'm the one who put this list on Brickset. I done my registration here exactly one month ago, but I was too lazy (and a little shy ) to introduce myself. And then I found this list of highly anticipated minifigures and I said to myself: "Now I must write this on Eurobricks!" But I only had had time to post it on Brickset, then I had to leave the house. I came back a while ago, and I was curious if someone done it for me. Of course he does, and now it's GRogall, as usual, who is famous, not me. . Okay, now about the minifigs. Someone wrote on my local LUG page two days ago that some eshop has listed Series 8, among with the date they will start selling them: August 27. You can pre-order them now. Another member notified us that there's a list what minifigures will be in Series 8. And yet another member, who is selling Lego, confirmed it's official, that she was given that information by TLC, too. So I'm sure it's official, unless TLC is joking.
