  1. Nice work. I agree comics designs are somehow unused in the Super Heroes theme. Even though I, as a huge MCU fan, prefer movie designs, this line deserves more minifigures from the source materials. But since J2G said we are getting film versions in the Juniors sets, I think it would be reasonable to include something more than third Mark VI and fourth messed up Loki.
  2. Oh. I'm afraid we might not get an updated Loki. I commented on your YouTube video a while back, expressing my hopes for better Loki with new printing, proper face and a hairpiece and, more importantly, that I would love the Iron Man to be Mark VII. It would be a great move from LEGO for people like me who don't have the original Quinjet. Let's hope!
  3. Oh, do you remember these times when this thread was about actual set rumors and not pointless discusions about movies? I'm sure both films will do well and so will their sets. And I will watch them and buy them even if they aren't that great.
  4. It looks only in the US. Which is very annoying, the only chance we had in Europe was for VIPs when purchasing the Helicarrier early. Damn you, LEGO, had I known it, I would have already purchased the sets back in March somewhere else for more reasonable prices. Instead I kept waiting til today, prepared to make an order at S@H,
  5. If you want to put this on Ideas, you better first remove the non-LEGO parts. Just nitpicking, it's a nice truck.
  6. I hope Winter Soldier will be available worldwide in June. It wasn't fair at all he was the bonus only while buying Helicarrier back in March. So, I guess reused faces in the summer sets are real deal, right?
  7. I'm not interested in this toy-to-game idea, but two things got me excited: 1) Back to the Future pack! It's great to see LEGO isn't done with the license. That hoverboard! Also love the new Unikitty. And the overall idea of many themes getting small packs with a figure and some cool mini builds is promising. Even though I hav never seen The Wizard of Oz, it's intriguing to get LEGO of a never-before established theme. Imagine the posibilities of which Warner Bros' IPs we could get. 2) Joel McHale in the trailer! Don't tell me I'm the only Community fan here.
  8. Just a quick rant - Hydra Fortress is available on the Czech S@H at last and the prize was finally unveiled (it's not shown in our retailer's catalogue) - 1699 CZK, which is about 85$. Bye bye, Quicksilver. You talk about being it overpriced with 50$ prize tag, guys!
  9. I guess he's curently available worldwide with The Helicarrier. Which I don't really like. He shouldn't be that limited. If they offer him in June properly, I may bite the bullet and spend more on the sets on the S@H just to get him. Thanks to online shops here, prizes of the new sets are more reasonable. Thinking about buying the Hulkbuster for 849 CZK (approx. 45$) instead of RRP 999 CZK (50$).
  10. So, it's March and with The Helicarrier being widely available since yesterday, Winter Soldier polybag is now officially listed on S@H as a gift with the purchase of this beast. Which makes me worried. Do you think he will be available again in June as a regular 75$ promo? I'm not wasting 400+ dollars to get him.
  11. Thanks! Now this one is very well hidden, yet clever.
  12. Dorayaki, could you please explain me that one with Elsa and Joneses?
  13. I'm not sure if anyone here is playing The Simpsons: Tapped Out game, but there's currently an event update with the superhero theme: there are all the cool original superheroes from the show, such as Radioactive Man, Fall Out Boy or Spider-Pig, as well as the costumed alter egos of the main heroes, such as Pie Man, Bartman or The Collector. Not only as a big Marvel fan I think these would be awesome variants for our figures. If they want to keep using the family in the CMF series, the variants seem to be a logical decision. However, I find the idea of them in their best clothes just dull and would have rather prefered one of the many costumes shown and worn throughout the series. With the very succesful Super Heroes theme running, I find the idea of these comic variant quite cool, what do you think?
  14. Well, since the ant and the bricks appear in both sizes, I guess there's fair chance to get them, especially having on mind their appearance in the Helicarrier. That's what I meant. Still, it's weird they didn't put him in the action in the picture. Sorry, didn't notice. Nice to see I'm not the only one. Hope you're right, you have a point here! Their choice of which figures will have the arm and leg printing is something I will never understand. Again, there are two bricks and the ant in two sizes. Why not make the same with the figures, especially when they started to print the micro-figure trophies? I know! I was thinking about it and if they include the micro-figures (and change the faces...), it will be the most genuine and funny Marvel set of all times, at least for me. Also, I was wondering why there are two small ants and I'm fairly convinced the second is spare. Now let's take a look at the set: we've got two large bricks and two small bricks, a large ant plus a small ant, only thing missing in two variants is the screw. So that must mean micro-figures!
  15. These sets look great, especially the Ant-Man. However, I have three problems with this otherwise perfect set: the lack of hairpieces (not a big deal though), the reusing of old and not-fitting faces (they will hopefully fix this, since most of the new figures on display have old faces - they can't be that lazy, right?) and the absence of micro-figures. However, if you looks at this picture, you can see that apart from the macro bricks, there's also regular-sized 1x2 yellow plate and 1x1 red brick. Together with the regular blue ants, I think this is pointing to an inlucison of micro-figures in the final set, what do you think? Also, I don't see Hank on the box, do you? This leads me to a theory the set on the display isn't finished yet and we will eventually get new faces and micro-figures.
  16. The Ant-Man set makes me worried. If the price is really 20$, I expect three minifigures, Ant-Man, Yellowjacket as the villain and hopefully Hank Pym. The idea of giant ant isn't a big surprise, it's very intriguing and a clever solution for the shrinking depicted in Lego form, but after seeing the awesome microfigures in the Helicarrier set, I was convinced there will be one in this set as well, to provide the shrunk Ant-Man.
  17. Thank you for good reception! Especially the compliment from the local king of funnies Oky made me blush. I was sure I wasn't the first one to mock the Mjölnir piece, but after watching the extended trailer bazillion times I just had to do this. And it was just a step to Hammer Tech. More funnies on the way! Jedd the Jedi, nice one!
  18. Thank you for clearing that up for me. That's certainly exciting news, but makes me sad even more for Scarlet Witch and all the messed up figures. I was accustomed to the lack of side leg printing on the licensed figures (although I have never understood why they don't go the same route as with the CMF where it's now perfectly normal), but after seeing those amazing Scooby Doo figures with superb leg printing and new hair moulds and one day later discovering this revolutionary technique being used soon, I'm really, really disappointed.
  19. Well, that's really weird series. Not impressed at all. But I can't see what you are talking about. By "two-toned legs" you mean the technique seen in The Simpsons theme on the short legs, that means made of two different coloured plastics? If so, I can't see it in the pictures.
  20. Thank you! I made another two, this time, I'm playing with words and mixing up universes a little. Hope you enjoy them! Picking up the hammer by Ojík, on Flickr Hammer Tech by Ojík, on Flickr
  21. Not much has happened in my favourite thread recently, so I decided to revive it with my very first funny. It's a triple crossover photo of three popular culture phenomenons. I took it in summer when I had too much free time on my hands, but for some reason, my Flickr account disappeared. I founded a new one yesterday, and after logging up today, I saw my old account. Strange indeed, but the problem is hopefully solved and I will be able to post more funnies in the future. If you like my first one, of course. Enjoy! Ned Stark by Ojík, on Flickr
  22. Thank you all for your responses and tips. I broadened my horizons about shopping in America - for example, I had not idea the tax differs between the states. I wrote to my brother and he's now trying luck in the toy stores along the way. No success yet, but I'm crossing my fingers. Thank you once again, you all have been very helpful!
  23. Hello, I'm having a problem right now with purchasing some LEGO in the United States. First, let me tell the story, it won't take much time. During my visit in New York three years ago, I visted the LEGO Store at Rockefeller Center and it was a terrific experience. I was in my dark ages back then, so I didn't buy anything, but when I came back home, I started searching information to see what's new in the world of Lego, and a few monthes later, I became an AFOL. Of course, I found the pricing diversity between the US and the rest of the world as well, so I almost immediately pitied not buying anything while in New York. Since then, whenever someone close travels to America, I ask them to buy me some LEGO. Later that year, my sister and her husband visited NY right before Christmas and I asked her to buy me two smallest Dino sets ($13 and $20). It was my Christmas present, though, so I don't know the exact prices. I asked my friend to bring me two $20 Super Heroes sets a year later. However, he didn't visit the official store and bought them for $25 each in Toys'R'Us. It was weird, but I supposed TRU has higher prices and let it go. Right now, my brother is in New York. You guess right, I asked him to buy me two smaller GOTG sets ($20 and $40). However, as usual, thing didn't go smoothly. Brother sent an email claiming he had gone to Rockefeller Center and they sell the smaller one for $24 and the bigger one for outstanding $63. I said he might have made a mistake, he said he was right, a shop assistant helped him locate the sets by looking at the pictures I provided, and that the price may differ. All right, finally to my question. How does buying LEGO in US work? Is there a tax included in the official prices? Are shops such TRU more expensive? Is it possible for a set to have 50 % higher price in the official store? I will welcome any help explaining this conundrum. Thanks.
  24. I too think getting Falcon is not really probable, but one can dream. On the other hand, I'm sure we will get Vision. He looks like this kind of character who will shake with the story, so it's logical they don't talk about him and don't show him, only tease us with the bits like SDCC poster.
  25. War Machine is confirmed, yet I'd love to get Falcon much more. I think we will get five Avengers sets with every main character, even possibly Fury (in his hobo appearance ) and Hill. If I may touch the speculations about the film itself, I think we will see Coulson in the post credit scene revealing himself to The Avengers, but that's of course very hard to foresee, especially with a whole new season of Agents coming soon. And later next year one set with Ant-Man. I would welcome more, though. And hopefully no USM sets.
