Most commonly, Mace leads the 187th Legion, which are the clone troopers with purple markings. He's also been connected with other groups during the clone wars, but the 187th is the mot recognizable.

LEGO Minifigures series 12 will not be available until Oct 2014
HawkLord replied to JeagerEX's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I can handle $4 per figure for the Simpsons since they'll have unique parts and whatnot, but $4 for a regular minifigure would have to mean a very rare/unusual part or many parts to make me bite. -
LEGO Doctor Who now a possibility?!
HawkLord replied to TheDoctor's topic in General LEGO Discussion
The tenth Doctor, Tardis, Rose, and a Dalek with maybe a Tardis interior would be a good start. -

Toys R Us Buy 1 Get 1 50% off sale
HawkLord replied to iamwhoiam's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
The TRU sale was only good for me because they had the Movie Super Secret Police Enforcer polybag on sale. Since it's a store exclusive anyway, so it works out. Otherwise, TRU sales are not really sales... -
I've seen those at Barnes and Nobles. Alittle odd for my taste, so I've passed, but they're almost great for being completely weird.

Local Lego store had the Knights and Dragons Accessory Packs out today. Grabbed the Knights because the printing looks sooooo good.

Castle Knights Accessory Pack - love it. The printing is just so good...

Picked up Zorch and Volectro last week. Built both and went back for Zaptor and Teslo today. Overall, these are very fun little builds with a lot of character. I love the facial elements, like the teeth and eyes. I think I'll probably go back for the rest of the red squad, but might pass on the black one - just not that appealing.

The LEGO Movie Sets News and Discussion
HawkLord replied to Itaria No Shintaku's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Found the Super Secret Police Enforcer polybag at TRU - $4.99 but it's listed in their system as "promo" so it can be used with their current buy-one-get-one-half-off sale. Hadn't seen it in the wild before.- 2,626 replies

I love the idea of the Sandcrawler being a playset rather than just a big, detailed vehicle. I think Lego may be making more of a push for these UCS-style sets to be more interactive. At the local Lego store, the Ewok Village seems to be selling better than the UCS X-Wing - or at least the stock ratio seems to indicate that. If the sandcrawler was just a larger vehicle, I would pass, as a playset with extra goodies that will probably not be released on their own again, I'm definitely in.

Haven't found this yet at the local Target. They still have the Chima bag at the registers and the Easter section which is still being built didn't have a shelf space listed, though they did have two other Lego item spaces with tags. Very cool set - I'll be in for two when I find it. Thanks for posting the review.

This development is not surprising. With the post-movie EU being very predominant in the past decade I can see why Disney/LFL would want to distance themselves from it to avoid a conflict of interest and probably general confusion. I know that this decision is probably more "across the board" then we realize, so there will probably be a reduction in EU books, comics, etc that come anywhere near the timeframe of Episode 7. It makes me feel bad for the people that may have been working on material (or who were up until the point that Disney/LFL shut them down) related to the EU, as now that material may not be released.

Great review and very nice, crisp pics. This is one I'll have to catch on sale, if at all. Just not an exciting vehicle...

I'm in for at least one, maybe two Cantinas. For someone not in the Lego game when the first one came out, this is great. I already have a Landspeeder, but don't mind having a second one; plus the Dewback is amazing.

One 212th and one 41st clone trooper battle pack. They had no Wheelbikes or I would have gone in on that too. I might go back for some others, but I'm in no hurry.

I like Kre-os, but then again it's mostly for the Transformers and the recently released D&D stuff. If that scaled better with Lego, it would be a great supplement. Some of the weapons and accessories from the Cityville and army stuff is useful.

Anyone think the new Chewie will appear in one of the summer sets - maybe the AT-AT or Cantina Set? Seems like a great chance to use a new mold.

Alderwood Mall Target has a couple good clearances - 79013 Laketown Chase for $34.99 and 9493 X-Wing for $41.99. Also some Chima stuff that I don't follow...

I still think there's a case for the idea of a Star Wars and/or Marvel CMF line. Now that Disney owns both, it's their call, so any previous contract that LFL had with Hasbro may be irrelevant. Hasbro helped shoot down the Lego Star Wars magnet figures as "action figures", but if Disney sees money in the single blind-packed Star Wars figure (which there's tons of money in), I think they would allow Lego to go with it. Blind packed products are hot and people enjoy them; Star Wars hasn't had anything close accept for the Medicom stuff - this may be the time.

Post your general LEGO Star Wars questions here
HawkLord replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I would highly recommend it. The idea of a 12" Lego R2 was good enough to me that it warranted a purchase and I certainly don't regret it. People are so used to seeing Lego buildings and vehicles, that something like this generally surprises the casual observer. -
Thank you Zzz for the information! Sounds like it will be a light year for me and Lego SW. I can't help but feel that the small upgrades just makes this feel more like filler material. I know Lego (like a lot of companies) were banking on the 3-D movies carrying things for a few years, but now all that has gone out the window. This kinda looks more like a wave just to carry us over to Rebels and new movies.

Wow, all three of those looks really good. I like how Cap has a smirk and Red Skull and Bob the Hydra lackey have frustrated angry faces... they're the ones with the tank and they're having a bad day...

Too bad Lego doesn't get into the Kickstarter thing. I know Gondor would do exceeding well in that arena and fans would be able to get what they want. Especially if stretch goals added more portions of Gondor or extra army-builders...
