Heckz continues with his masterplan and will still try and get some.

Eric gritted his teeth and put up a half-hearted defense. "Och du är en lögnare! The world has always been a mess. I don't see how the current state of things forbodes the end of Olegard." "Wail in despair?", Eric scoffed in a mocking tone. "You go ahead and wail, but that's not my way of dealing with things." The Nord pointed at the Rito. "The She-Wolf can go for all I care, but you and I have unfinished business."

"Well then, if it isn't the cowardly Rito", Eric grinned his canines bare too, in a semi-feral way. He snorted dismissively and spat on the ground. "Are you going to fly away again this time?" His grin slid away and turned into a short burst of laughter at Ulrica's statement. "What makes you believe the End-Times are upon us, She-Wolf? Olegard will not come to its end yet, for the twilight of the gods is still far away from us. Wartan still rules supreme, with his loyal kinsmen at his side. Njordon will keep his ocean-kingdom at bay. There will be no all-engulfing flood." Eric waved away Ulrica's stories with his hand, but inside he was less certain. "What if the She-Wolf is indeed telling the truth and that the End is indeed upon Olegard?"

I was merely saying to Lind that having your name end in "dorf", doesn't automatically mean you're a male, as is the case with some Slavic and Latin names (and probably even other cultures). I wasn't really referring to the character in your quest per se, I was merely explaining the name in general. Of course, Waldorf is usually used as a male name, but it's not the "dorf" ending that makes it a male name. That's what I was trying to explain .
-
Not necessarily. Dorf simply means town. It doesn't really have anything to do with gender. In this case the name literally means "wood village (wald + dorf)". I agree as a first name it's probably most fitting for a male, but simply saying that it's male because it ends in "dorf" is cutting it a bit short . *puts down nerd glasses*

Eric only half-knew what Sarge was mumbling about, but he did agree on his views concerning Eubric. "Right there with you. Eubric could do with a clean-up", the Nord grinned widely. Eric saw Boomingham leave the Palace and walked up to the old Paladin. "How did things go with the Almagesta?", he inquired and then said: "There's something else too. I've got some business to finish up at the beggars' shelter, but I believe I will need the book you have on you to do so. The one about the money stuff?" I could of course be mistaken, but I do believe that's the key to solving the Straw to Gold subquest, which I do want to wrap up.

"Efficient at killing things?", Eric grinned. Eric stretched his arms and shrugged. He rolled his shoulders, cracked his neck and looked at the sky, trying to determine how long Boomingham had been inside already. Eric wanted to settle the trade he had made with the beggar at the shelter, but Lawrence had the book Eric needed to do so. The Nord watched Heckz leave and saw Sarge take a seat. Aimlessly, he strolled around the square and fumbled in his bag. Much to his surprise, he discovered two golden statues of which's presence there he did not know. With a frown he took one of them out. For a split-second Eric's face went pale as he read the plaque that was attached to the statuette. It read: "For the best relationship: Eric and Periwinkle". Eric quickly scanned the courtyard, but was relieved when he didn't see the novice around. Like Sarge had done, Eric too made his way to a local merchant and had the Henry sold for 200 gold, before anyone noticed he and Peri had won it. He then consumed (?? however you consume or use a statue ) the other Henry he had left. Strangely enough, the Nord felt more powerful because of it (+1 Power). Being tired of strolling around, Eric went on to have a seat with Jon. He put the bag of gold on the table and shoved it towards the old mercenary. "Another investment", he smirked. Sarge now has 511 gold of Eric's. Pointing towards Sarge's compass, Eric said: "I noticed you eyeing that feverishly earlier. Something on your mind?"

Like all of the other Modular Buildings, this one looks stunning. Lots of great building techniques. I don't have any of the other sets, though, so I'll probably not get this one either. The price is a bit too much for me to shell out at once on one set. The use of Nexo Knights shields for floor pattering in the bank, while NPU, looks kind of weird to me though...

Eric followed Sarge and Heckz to Vipersace's Boutique. He watched Sarge spend some of his gold on a new cloak and grinned: "Don't go spending all of that money, Sarge. There"s 250 gold pieces of mine in there, too" He winked, albeit it shortly, because he face turned into a frown when Heckz exited the shop. Raising an eyebrow, Eric said: "...so, dark red is the new black now?" Before following the other's back outside, Eric purchased the Redhawk Helmet, which he had been eyeing earlier and handed over 240 gold. The remaining 61 gold he handed over to Sarge for banking safekeeping purposes. Sarge now has 311 gold from Eric. "So, we wait until Boomingham leaves the Palace?"

Eric ignored half of what Periwinkle said and with a playful and cheeky laugh adorning his face simply stated: "I'll have you front and back, Peri. Don't worry" He then accompanied Peri and Sarge inside.

"Meh, Salmanda's night life is rather calm", Eric replied. He took out the compass and returned it to Sarge. "Thanks for that." "So, what's the plan now? We barge into the Council meeting and stick it to Ulrica? What support could we offer, Peri? None of us actually saw Ulrica take you and we're not liars... Besides, didn't you say it was the Rito woman who picked you off the street?"

"Well, that was over rather fast", Eric said disgruntled and even somewhat disappointed. "Damn it, that was my last Nostrum" He picked up the loot and surveyed it quickly, before handing it out. Loot distribution: Eric: 150 gold, Grand Potion Boomingham: 200 gold, Ambrosia Heckz: 100 gold, Black Market Insignia, Assassin's Crossbow The Nord then nodded in agreement with Boomingham's suggestion. "I'll take Peri to the Sisters". Turning his attention to her, he dryly and somewhat matter-of-factly asked: "Are you alright? Ready to see the other Sisters?" Eric didn't pay much attention to the Scorpion's story, but was intent on moving out. Before he could step off, though, the boy mage ran past him in a craze. Dumbfounded, Eric shook his head and decided to head for the Palace, too, via the Holy District, dropping Peri off in the Holy District.

The Wolfgang's constant has been Ulric's desire for change. He wants to become king so he'll have enough clout to implement his change. The Houses want a King, too, now. Only they want to become kings to keep things as they are and not change a thing. If Ulric becomes king, there will be immense chaos, no doubt about that. I'm with you on the point his promise is hard to keep, but I don't believe it's impossible. Complete equality is a utopia and can never happen for real, but I do think he can make things more equal than they are now. There have been multiple instances in history where rebellious upstarts and nobodies rose up from nothing and overthrew and replaced the established order . I agree with you on some points, though . Regarding the composition of the Wolfgang, though, I doubt it's entirely made up of criminals by now. Sure, they were the nucleus and muscle of his rise, but now that his ideas have spread I believe there are also idealists who follow him. That's where I would classify Kulkulkan. Someone who really believes Ulric can better the situation of commoners and the down-trodden. My second character would've been someone lik that as well. Unlike Eric, who followed Ulric purely for the ensuing chaos it'd bring, my second character would follow Ulric strictly for his egalitarian beliefs. And yes, that would've been rather naive of that character .
-
The way it's looking now, with Barbarella out of the picture (for now), the Wolfgang seems rather decent. Yeah, Ulric rose to power via dubious ways, but his goals are way more noble than those of the others, I feel. Kulkulkan's struggle for equality and liberty for Orcs fits with Ulrics general ideas on society. Besides, it's not like the "noble" Houses themselves are immaculately clean, morally.

I used the tallest option, but I had to zoom out to make a proper screenshot . He didn't fit well enough on my screen otherwise.
-
Ooooh cool site, HeroForge . I couldn't resist making a version of Eric.

Whoops, sorry! Totally forgot I was supposed to post the battle order Eric grabbed the side of his chest and grunted. He was hit rather hard and blood was smeared all over him. Despite that, he managed to put on another wicked grin and in a tone dripping with sarcasm, he said: "well, that didn't go quite as planned. Did it?" The Nord turned his attention to Peri and motioned her to look after the Scorpion Knight. "Be a doll and work your magic on the black guy", Eric winked and raised his thumb at the Sister and joked: "I'm doing just fine by myself". "Right, Lawrence, would you kindly bestow that healing power of yours upon me?" Eric then does nothing this round, since it would be kind of pointless (I guess) Battle Order: Boomingham Eric Eric Rex Heckz

Heroica RPG - The Henrys - 2nd Awards Celebration
Khorne replied to Waterbrick Down's topic in The Heroica Archive
Wow, those movies were a really cool addition! Who did the voice-acting? A job well-done for all those involved, WBD and the entire crew. It was well worth the wait, I really loved reading it all . I loved Throlar presenting the Henrys. Classic Throlar and Lind stuff there . Eric and Peri winning the "Romantic relationship" Henry really made me laugh, but seeing Heckz & Heckz was actually nominated made me laugh even more. . Thanks for all those who made Peric win that category. I wonder how they'll share that trophy . I'll say it again, but stellar job. Outstanding work, all!- 33 replies

Eric surveyed his opponents with an icy gaze. He took out a Nostrum, one of the last few he had and drank it. Calling Peri over his shoulder, he queried the woman: "Peri, are you able to heal the Scorpion, before the bastard bleeds to death?" Initiative round: Eric uses Nostrum. First round: Eric attacks Black Market Dealer and Ashanti, both from the front row and using Conspirator.

Is the Lind [the character] trying to use another of his infamous accents here ?
-
There are obviously less icky blue people there. For an airhead like Heckz, that makes the choice a whole lot easier, I guess .
-
Wow, those fur capes are perfect fits for minifigs. They really set your characters apart. What custom shop did you get them at?
-
*reads all of Flipz' character analyses and suggestions* Wow, Flipz. All that RP and build knowledge, you really are the resident Munchkin .

Yeah, you're probably right on where my money most likely went... I know I also spent tons of Gold I earned during the glory days of Raiding on Godricsleif, which in hindsight wasn't probably the most clever thing. I should've upgraded other, more special weapons instead of my starter sword. Oh well, it is as its is, I guess . EDIT: On a totally unrelated topic: HOLY SHIT, Quest #130 started exactly on the day I joined Eurobricks 10 years ago. Woooooow ...
