"Follow them to the grave you will. You made your choice. At least you'll die with your sword in your hand. This triviality ends now." Eric attacks Nalah from the front row using Conspirator. Peri heals Eric.

I predict a 100% chance none of you are getting a title if you keep asking for it and doing semi suggestions yourselves .

"Sure thing", Peri nodded and revived Heckz, using a Phoenix Essence.

"Over!?" Eric barked. "Kitty-kat, the dance has only just begun!" Eric uncorked one of his Grand Potions and drank it. "Sarge, maybe you could revive the boy-sorceror there? I think he fainted... I believe it's wiser for me and Lawrence to attack Nalah now, since we're both Lucky and thus less likely to trigger her Special, while you and Rex finish off the other two idiots for now. Then, during our next round, we can go on an all-out party offensive versus that red-head." The Nord pointed his sword at Nalah in a challenging way. "You picked the wrong people to feel superior to, bitch." Eric uses a Grand Potion first, then attacks Nalah from the front row using Conspirator.

Eric sized up his opponents whilst striding from left to right and back again in front of them. In the corner of his eye he spotted a shimmer, a sign of the gold the were-creatures were carrying on them. Eric grinned and used up the last of his Nostrums during the Initiative Round. Hopefully, he'd be able to score some gold. When the fighting ensues, Eric will attack Tarzean Longmane from the front row (using Conspirator), jealously eyeing Heckz deal wil Nalah.

I didn't mean anything negative by it. It was merely an observation . My hat off to PJB for all the work. The Quest has been a fun one to follow so far .

An underlying anger softly boiled up within Eric and his face turned slightly vicious. He didn't like being barked at like some underling. The Nord clicked his tongue multiple times and tried to keep his calm, choosing to observe the transaction rather than act. Now it was Eric who scoffed. Pleased with Marmaduc's disappointment an arrogant, triumphant grin surfaced on his face. "Looks like we came here to merely throw insults after all, Marmadick." The Nord kept eyecontact with the nobleman as he slowly retraced his steps. His grin grew ever wider and as he turned heel, it burst into soft, yet undeniably cruel, laughter. His little fit with Marmaduc had raised the Nord's temper. Readying himself to fight the Rakshasa, he drew Conspirator and spun the blade around. Eric cracked his neck. In an equally wicked and insulting tone he addressed the were-lions. "Now, how do you see your future? Would you rather be a hat or fur-lining for a cloak? Or maybe you just want to decorate our good friend Marmaduc's hall here?" Before awaiting their answer, Eric opened up another Smelling Salts and used it up. It was starting to become quite the habit. Sniffing his nose and wiping away the remnants of the Salts, he merely said: "Let's do this."

That has got to be the longest first-time-ever-as-a-host Quest we have had here .

Eric grinned. "You're trying to make a case against us, standing in a room adorned with heads of were-people only for the sake of decoration. Good luck with that." The Nord scanned the room with another playful grin on his face. "Nope, can't see any were-lions yet", staring down at the were-lions, he continued, "looks like those are still missing from the collection."

"Maybe she allied herself with the Venomari as a backup plan for when her coup in the Sisterhood failed?" Eric snorted. "Yeah, the parrot. That's the one." He shurgged. "I don't know if we'll find much at the swamps. Sarge and me checked out the crime scene the night of the killing and even then we didn't find anything. What makes you think we'll find something now, two days later?"

"You already need to be quite cuckoo if you want to be an Orcale, so no, I don't really believe much of what she's saying," Eric responded to the Weresnake. Before walking away, he noted that, "that doesn't mean he cares about the Weresnake's situation, though." The Nord patted Heckz on the shoulder, like a parent patting their child on the shoulder. With a mocking and belittling tone he said: "Ja, ja boy, you just go ahead and make all the decisions like the great leader you are." Eric chuckled softly then followed Boomingham to Marmaduc. "Let's deal with the Marmaduc situation and then finish up our business in this sun-blasted hellhole."

Ah, okay. Thanks for clarifying . I was under the impression we had to actively look for and find the beggar again before we would get an actual reward. Haha . I will then buy up one more percent so the business is completely mine and I will have a stready stream of income. I mean, who wouldn't want a sunhat in Salmanda? Eric turned to the boy sorceror. "So, if you're keen on becoming party leader, where would your magnificent self take our party to in this city?", he half-mockingly said.

"Riiiiight...", Eric said while frowning at Heckz's antics. Simply ignoring the sorceror, the Nord scratched the back of his head and talked to Boomingham instead. "So, Marmaduc. What are we supposed to do there again? This heat is no good for my memory."

Same here. I see the same Heroica banner as always. The Halloween banner only replaces the regular EB one for me on the main page and such.

Eric yawned and stretched his arms. "Where to next?" I don't have any more personal objectives other than finding the beggar from the Straw to Riches subquest again, although I have no clue where he might be... Eric wants his promised riches, damn it :tongue !

Slowly clapping Eric re-entered the Sanctuary after his brief break outside. "Congratulations, you two," he said dryly in a semi-sarcastic tone. Before awaiting any reply he got back to his sleeping spot next to where Boomingham and Rex lay and fell asleep, pretending it was all a bad dream.

Eric's sly grin soon dwindled into a blank face. If Eric had been drinking something when Sarge dropped the bomb, he would've surely spit out the liquid in a comical way. Sweat pearls formed on the Nord's forehead and slowly the great warrior crept up alongside the wall. In a near catatonic state he strolled outside to get a breath of fresh air, merely repeating the word "no, no, no, no, ..." . Of all the people in the world he could do, he managed to do his friend's long lost daughter.

Eric lay down next to Boomingham and Rex and listened to their conversation. When that ran dry, he turned his attention to Sarge. Now that the Nord came to think about it, the place had been rather devoid of snarky comments for some time now. Bemused, Eric watched the show, not knowing what was unfolding before him.

Eric shrugged. "Looks like a regular Rito person to me." He shook his head. "Altruistic love, that's his divine power? What a joke. No wonder no one's ever heard of this guy."

"For crying out loud...", muttered the Nord inaudible for everyone else. His eyes traced Brown as he left the Sanctuary. Eric then walked over ti Peri and motioned towards the wings on the statue. "Yeah, a Rito. The guy's got wings. That makes him a Rito, doesn't it?"

Saw this collaboration on Flickr already, but my god what a thing of beauty . Amazing work! There's too much amazing stuff going on to comment on it all. It's just gorgeous! One of my favorite details is probably the floor mosaic in the Roman villa.

Eric grumbled. "Probably some lousy punishment, considering she's still breathing." The Nord relented somewhat, "But you're right, might not be the most clever thing to upset the employers. I wouldn't want to miss out my reward. After all, that's why we're here right, in this sun-blasted hellhole." Eric waved away the priest's welcome. "Ja, ja. Yada, yada, we're not here for you." He scanned the place, looking for the person who he was here for instead, but needn't look long. Eric closed his eyes briefly in pure annoyance, trying to subdue his anger. Truly his heart was filled with disdain and contempt for this creature. First the man was too lazy to make something of his own life and now he's insinuating it took Eric too long to get back to the Sanctuary. Eric ignored the man's hollering, opting to move towards the person by his own choice and not because he was being summoned like a dog. In a showy display, he took out the book "Key to Riches" and quickly leafed through it, hoping he might still learn something from the book. The Nord then pretended to have not spotted Brown in the first place and with a fake smile he put away the book and now joined the beggar. "Ja, I have something for you. A book. I haven't read it completely, but I'm quite sure that the main lesson to getting rich is getting of your megablocks, stop whining about your situation and do something with your life instead", Eric bitterly snarked and tossed Brown the book. He then held out his hand towards the beggar. "My reward, if you please", Eric grinned wide and added: "kind sir". While waiting for his reward, Eric called Peri over his shoulder: "You know who the Rito statue is, Peri?"

"Damn you!", Eric cursed aloud and raised his fist at the fleeing Rito. "I'll get you! Mark my words, your day will come!" The Nord shook his head in disbelief at Peri's words. "What are you talking about? She kidnapped you, one of her own order. She's a traitor to whatever cause you serve. If you had let us deal with it, the Rito would've gotten what she deserved." Seething with anger, Eric strode off to wherever the homeless and downtrodden people's shelter was the Slums, I think?. The thought of reaping a possible reward somewhat eased his mind, but he'd still need to kill something to be completely satisfied.
