  1. I don't know if it's been mentioned, but I could see it being someone like Thror, or Dain the Ironfoot. I know it's unlikely because it'd require new molds, but it'd be a great place to put Thror.
  2. Is it to late to put my name down for black spire?
  3. I hope it's not too late to enter! Here are my sig figs! Houjou brothers by mrerikku, on Flickr Houjou Brothers by mrerikku, on Flickr Names from left to right, Tora, Tsuru, and Kitsun On their way to the east side of Kaliphlin in hopes of establishing trade, they were thrown off course. Getting caught in a mighty storm, their vessel had be smashed to pieces on the south east side of Nocturnus. Out of the entire crew, They were the only three survivors. Gathering what they could, they set forth. Completely oblivious to the current affairs going on around them, the three brothers served whoever paid the most. The only thing that mattered was staying alive while holding onto the dream that they'd someday be able to return home. Not much is known of the three, as the seldom speak. Rumor has spread that they come from a village named Houjou far to the east. Since setting foot in the new world, their true names have never been spoken. Rather, they introduce themselves as an animal in their tongue. Tora is the heavy weight and the largest of the the three brothers, he wields his massive tetsubo with a sole purpose to smash opponents.. Out of the three, Tsuru speaks the most, he's the diplomat and is the leader. Kitsune on the other hand hardly says a word. He communicates via gestures in ways only his brothers understand. He's the fastest and quietest, and often times keeps watch in the evenings.
  4. another quick question. (Sorry) are third party venders like brick warriors and brickforge allowed in the figs?
  5. I have a few questions about joining nocturnus, One, do the guilds colors have to incorporated into the figures? And may I have more than one figure, say three brothers? I have a backstory and figures in mind and just wanted to make sure it was alright before I added anything. Thank you!
  6. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't there one in the back of the Return of the King and the Silmarillion?
  7. This is exactly what I was thinking, plus what Str0ngbad had to say. They could use that money for a multitude of other things.
  8. interesting. Have either of you tried using Inkscape? it's an open source vector program similar to illustrator, but a little mor user friendly. I hope what I have in mind works. But like I said, it'll be quite some time before anything is done. Other than the elf equipment, are there any others that either of you'd really like to see?
  9. what do you use to create your decals? and I have plans to recreate quite a few of the pieces in the game that aren't available yet, but it's going to be quite sometime before any of that is actually finished, if it even works the way I have planned. I'm still kind of experimenting with an idea. Assuming it does, some of them will be available on shapeways, but don't hold your breath.
  10. Sorry I wasn't able to get these up sooner, it's the week after spring break, and I've been quite a bit busier than I thought I'd be. http://www.flickr.com/photos/mrerikku/8587023961/in/photostream http://www.flickr.com/photos/mrerikku/8587021381/in/photostream and I can get Gil-Galad tonight still if you need more shots. Do you need the second age elf for decals or for the helmet?
  11. Personally I think silver would look better on the bright yellow hair, that's how I pictured it in my head anyway. As far as first age goes, I think Turgon of gondolin would be good, or Feanor and any of his sons considering they were all princes. Thingol of Doriath might aswell. I'm really looking forward to the end products. Metallic gold and silver would also be something interesting to try.
  12. There are a few I can think of, such as Elladan and Elrohir, Elrond's sons. There's also Cirdan from the gray havens. Glorfindel could possibly wear one too. There are tons from the silmarillion that might, they're all from the first age though and not as popular. Let me know if you're interested and I can list some more names.
  13. I'll get that aswell. With them being screen shots they probably won't be super close up, but I have found a few places where the camera is closer than usual. I'll be experimenting the next day or so, if there's anything else, I'd be more than happy to help.
  14. That sounds incredibly intricate, I'd love to see pictures when you get them finished. Will they permanently be attached? Or something that can pop on and off?
  15. Ha, not quite. Glad I could help though. Were there any other characters you wanted to see?
  16. I can most likely get a better picture of Tom Bombadil if you're still interested.
  17. will you be using this technique to create Gil-Galad's circlet that you requested a picture for? also, does it shape well? can you form it like puffy, or is it only good for coating? And one more think, have you tried it with some of the softer lego pieces? like the kind tree leaves are made of? wonderful idea though, I might actually have to try it.
  18. hello! I just got the game on my computer and I can definitely get both of those for you guys by the end of this week. If there are any others just let me know!
  19. I'm not sure I'll be picking up the movie just yet, but I really like that figure. Thanks for sharing!
  20. I'm surprised this wasn't brought up sooner, it's a wonderful idea. but it'd only be practical if there are actually minifigures included with the set.
  21. thank you, that's exactly what I was after. I'll make sure to avoid them in the future!
  22. this is wonderful! I love the walk way from the seife tower and the interior part of the wall. The attention to detail is awesome. I feel like, especially the wall part, is easily overlooked and just made a sheet of gray. I like how it looks like the stones that would have been inbetween the wall.
  23. Not quite sure were to put this, but I'll be using it to customize, so I thought this might be good. Recently I've been looking into the different shades of blue and purple that lego has created minifigure parts out of, and I've started to gravitate toward the color used in jango fett. Unfortunately I only want his arms and his legs, not the rest, but the torso piece on brick link is quite expensive for just the arms. I was wondering if the arms from a lego minifigure pen work the same as a regular minifigure. I understand the rest of the body won't because how it needs to be attached to the pen, but I wasn't sure about the arms. If anyone who has tried it let me know I'd really appreciate it. Thank you!
  24. Hello! I realize that there are a lot more requests than designs being made, but if anyone has the time, I was wondering if someone could recreate a couple heads but for transparent decal paper. The most important one being this one, http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=3626bpb509 followed by these two, http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=3626bpb429 http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=3626bpb503 I'd be really appreciative if some one could make those three for me, especially the first one. Thanks in advance, Eric R.
  25. I wasn't quite sure where to put this, because it isn't really related to minifigures, but does do with customization. I've been expeirimenting with LDD and LDD Manager recently and ended up using pieces that don't exist in particular colors. For instance, dark brown. I'm by no means a purist, but I was curious as to what other people thought of recoloring actual bricks, and if anyone's done it, what has worked the best? Thanks in advance!
