Wow. A definite off-hovertrack vehicle.

It's unorthodox techniques and complexity, not to mention the subject itself, would mean that it would immediately get shot down by the Cuusoo staff.

Legends of Chima 2013 (Action Figures)
DraikNova replied to DarkSurgeXL's topic in LEGO Action Figures
Yeah, me too. That was one of the main selling points for me. Now I'm probably only going to get Cragger, although I might get Razar for the purple. Whatever is used for connecting his wings might be useful too. -
No wonder. This year he's packed with rare parts and manages to pull of a relatively good look besides.
-
Wow. You're pumping out great MOCs like nobody's business. I love how the mech's body resembles a krana itself.

Well, that's a relief. I thought the Drill was going to be horrible.

Replacing the diver's head with that of the cyclops fig is just perfect.

Error in Ultimate Speedorz Tournament?
DraikNova replied to Kadabra's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
I guess it was more artistic license than an actual error. I would be interested to see the "Grapt" attachment though.- 1 reply

Ninjago: Masters Of Spinjitsu TV Show Thread
DraikNova replied to Lance's topic in LEGO Media and Gaming
I wonder if they'll actually continue a main storyline, or just have lots of small, one-episode problems.- 4,591 replies

My favorites this wave are: Dragon Bolt (Pretty much self-explanatory) Surge (Awesome colors and a relatively sleek look) Evo (Not to many rare parts or new ones, but overall the most "finished" looking set of the year)

I'd think, seeing how complex your idea is, it'd be in either the 80-100 or the 100-120 price range.
-
Damn. A far more worked out idea for an Insectoid Hive. Good job. May I ask what you think the price point would be?

Looks very bulky and imposing.

I'm on a roll: Armored Battle Price: $60-75 Parts: 600 Minifigures: Solomon Blaze and Blue Squad Robot + Armored Mosquitoid and Green Buggoid Features a medium-sized Blue Squad "roller" (essentially a giant wheel) with a cockpit that swivels so it remains upright while the vehicle is rolled, four detachable drones and a (seperate) powerful mini-speeder. The other part of the set is a slightly smaller scorpion-like Insectoid vehicle with a blaster for a stinger, a fully-enclosed cockpit and large claws. Insectoid Hive Price: $80-100 Parts: 950 Minifigures: Chuck Stonebreaker + Armored Mosquitoid, two Mosquitoids, Green Buggoid and five Larvae A giant Insectoid base (again, hexagonal), with five green cocoons (for holding the Insectoid figures), a catapult for firing the Larvae capsules, several small Insectoid vehicles and perhaps a web-like construction. I´m not to happy about the last idea for the Insectoid Hive. Any suggestions?

LEGO Collectible Minifigures Golden Minifigure Discussion
DraikNova replied to TrumpetKing's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I draw it at the relatively reasonably acquirable VIP figure.- 87 replies

The Hive Crawler is more of a miscellaneous mish-mash of various creatures than a specific insect.

I can't find anything about the Orange Squad specialty. And while the Green Squad are defense, I thought shield generators would be boring. Anyway, here's another idea: CLS-47 Troop Carrier Price $40-50 Parts: 450 Minifigures: Jack Fireblade, Ashlee Starstrider and the Orange Squad Robot + Mosquitoid Features an armored Orange Squad ship with large engines and a flip-down ramp giving access to the hollow center of the ship, which has a small armory and space for up to six (unarmored) Squad members. It also has three disconnecting drones, a wheeled scanner and two flying "shooters", plus a small fly-inspired Insectoid vehicle. Also, an idea for one of those mini-boxed sets (slightly larger than a polybag): Insectoid Scarer Price: $3-7 Parts: 50 Minifigure: Mosquitoid and a Larva Features a small, generic Insectoid vehicle with wings and a small pod to hold the larva on it's abdomen. Great ideas everyone!

That little bird vehicle looks pretty awesome. It seems to use HF Rocka blades for it's tail actually.

Good thing I didn't add a battle-pack myself then. And as a matter of fact I'm not to much of a fan of the red squad, but at least this evens it out a bit. Personally, I hope Ninjago coming back doesn't force this theme back into oblivion. It's the first space theme in over two years and definitely better than the last one. In some ways, better even than Ninjago itself.

What sets would you like to see in Galaxy Squad? Here are some of my ideas: Insectoid Queen Price: $60-75 Parts: 600 Minifigures: Billy Starbeam + four Larvae Large Insectoid with eight posable legs, two sets of arms (one with claws, the other with blades), a large tail with a stinger and relatively small wings. Also has four of the smaller larvae-containing pods on it's abdomen. Features Billy Starbeam as the hapless victim . Spray-Stomper CLX-57 Price: $40-50 Parts: 450 Minifigures: Billy Starbeam, Red Squad Robot and a new Red Squad member + Mosquitoid and two Larvae Medium-sized Red Squad mech (slightly larger than the Samurai Mech from Ninjago) with flamethrower-like bug spray cannon. Can split into three vehicles: a walker and two fighter jets. Arthropod Annihilator Price: 80-100 Parts: 850 Minifigures: Billy Starbeam, Solomon Blaze, Chuck Stonebreaker, Jack Fireblade and Red, Green, Blue and Orange Robots + Green Buggoid A multi-squad spaceship, with a Green Squad weapons section (featuring two angled turrets), a Blue Squad control deck, an Orange Squad-manned propulsion system and a deck of four Red Squad mini-fighters. Control Base Price: 100-120 Parts: 1250 Minifigures: Billy Starbeam, Solomon Blaze, Chuck Stonebreaker, Jack Fireblade, Ashlee Starstrider, new (Galactic Titan) Blue Squad member, new Red and Green Squad members and Red, Green, Blue and Orange Robots + Red Buggoid, Armored Mosquitoid and four Larvae A large hexagonal base, split evenly into four parts. The Blue Squad area has a meeting room, the Green Squad has a very large turret, the Red Squad has a fighter launch pad and the Orange Squad has a small laboratory. In the center is a large tower, predominantly white, but on each of the four sides it is detailed with the color that part of the base is in. The walls around the base all have small turrets on them. Note: No idea what to put at the top of the tower. Please add your own ideas and have fun!

Wow. Very good LEGO-tized version of the prehistoric bird. The only bit that looks a little strange is the headcrest, which might work better if you replaced it with a couple of antenna-feathers.
-
There's one very blurry picture at most ten pages back. Might have been deleted though. Otherwise, go back to the flickr streams showing preliminary photos and look through them. They might be there.
-
Very ingenious parts use for those plant things, as well as for the portal.

To be honest, the only real (reasonable) disappointment that I have with the episode is that they didn't show more of Dragon Bolt's takeover process. If they had managed to make a "cute" version of the dragon, like they did with Pyrox and to a lesser degree Frost Beast, that would have been icing on the cake. I'm not too annoyed at the placeholder villain. After all, the makers have a deadline.
