  1. So many "classic" jokes.
  2. For some reason, that kind of would explain the GitD brain slug to me.
  3. I love the Hulk chestplate, it's just the gold that irks me. Like most people, grey or gunmetal would have been a lot more useful. And truth to be told, even Gorilla's legs have a second joint. They could have easily added two small bone pieces.
  4. Wow. That is really micro. I think Wall-E might look better with another 1x1 plate under the goggles though.
  5. The Dragon's humanoid stance looks really awesome on the box art. Oh, and I love the stylised dragon/wolf/dog dripping mud heraldry.
  6. A nice little mech, although the legs need some work.
  7. /\ If only they could make it a GitD and blue blend. Anyway, for next year I hope they make some sort of "Pro" set, geared more towards AFOLs and with some more complicated builds.
  8. I'm going to have to seriously MOD Dragon Bolt. Good thing I'm going to be taking apart Ninjago set soon, and they have about ten large gold blades in them. Despite my rant, I'm still kind of excited. I hope LEGO does another dragon soon, having learned from this one. And this time in dark green and trans dark green.
  9. Beautiful use of the reddish-brown.
  10. Interesting concept. Funny part choice for the missile "holders".
  11. Stunning. I just don't know what to say... Perfection.
  12. Yes, but in a pic where the cockpit is folded up, the cockpit still has quite a few gaps. The mini-scorpion-creature look very intimidating, by the way. What I'm wondering is why we haven't gotten pictures of the Crater Creeper yet.
  13. Well, the new Speedorz look awesome. The Whirling Vines look nice enough, just like it's speedorz. The trans one looks nice as well (and I've forgotten it's name ). It's function seems rather complicated. The one with Skinnet looks nice, with it's great small brick-built wolf head and awesomely patterned spinner. The nest dive seems larger than the others and Lagravis' golden Speedorz looks beautiful. And Furty's...is on fire with it's reddish-gold print. The twin (?) bike looks like it's wheels are upsized speedorz wheels with that blue edge. The CHI Temple looks a lot more impressive with it's bridge and everything. The alternate lion speedorz concept looks nice, just like the croc bike. On the Gorilla Mech the silver 1x1 rounds give the impression of a muscled torso. The little tree that comes in the set (I checked) is nice as well. The banana gun is a nice touch. The rounded look makes it very impressive and the azure makes it pop. The Combat Lair looks a lot less impressive, being so...empty at the back. I'm debating whether to get this one. I'll probably pass. I'll need one shot with the copter attached to the main vehicle before deciding though.
  14. The skeletal tree is perfect!
  15. Ugh. Laval's leg design, while bad, would still have looked better than the basic design. Apart from that a relatively decent set. Cragger, well... I would have preferred his old weapon design. He seems to use an extra dark green cladding piece on his back. I might decide to use all these different shades of green in one MOC. The addition of olive to the selection is a good one. Don't even get me started on Gorzan. His completely and utterly horrible gold Hulk chestplate, that ridiculous weapon (the only value is as parts and mace halves have very little MOCcing value anyway), those stubby legs and the removal of the extra armor and banana ammo belt which could have made it a GREAT set or, with the other changes I mentioned, have at the very least made it a decent parts pack. Then there's Eris. Her very male head isn't even so much of a complaint. Compared to her other problems, that is. Her wings, which I don't even like in her minifigure, look horribly skeletal and un-winglike made with those pieces. Then there's her axe. It looks very useless bent at that angle. The only reason I could imagine why someone would want to buy the set would be for the trans-blue. Now, Razar. Limiting it to purple and black gives him a much better colorscheme than most of the others. Purple is always a welcome color, anyway. His head mold looks better than the others too, evoking the feel of the original very well. The wings just work here. And I feel that Eris' axe parts seems to have been more designed for Razar's use. They work very well here. Last, Worriz. Slightly off head, less than, say, Eris or Laval. Nice silver fur add-on pieces and nice dark red armor. The simple weapon design, which I think was the original plan for Cragger's weapons works perfectly here. The saw-shield and paw hands work well as well. Sorry for the rant, but I'm very disappointed.
  16. These all look like disappointments to me. For one thing, big parts like Dragon Bolt's head never work in "basic" blue. Then they make the wings small, add those lightning pieces and use yellow blades. The only good things there are that we're getting blue savage planet claws and the use of the chima claws. Then they make the brain slug a sloppy, goo-like disaster and one of the potential best action figure sets ever becomes this mush. Let's hope there are some minor changes and it looks better in the plastic as it were. Surge looks like a great parts pack, although the blue and the trans lime doesn't work that well next to each other. His trans-neon helmet looks glorious. I for one am very happy with the change from yellow to neon green. Now, Rocka hasn't improved or worsened to much, and the blades help his look slightly. I'll probably buy him for extra parts. The printed H looks rather nice too. Stomer looks like a great little set and a great parts pack too. His trans-light blue looks great and he has a solid look. I wish they had used the Chi pieces instead of the barakki eyes though. Frost Beast? Slightly dissapointing set-wise, but as a parts pack a great value, as he has even more trans-light blue than Stormer. White Savage Planet paw, too. Evo, formerly one of my wave favorites, has degraded as well. He doesn't look half as good with trans-light blue as he would with plain trans-blue.
  17. The use of those strange old windows is just insane. And all this chrome makes me think it´s more of a Rolls-Royce than a transport of any kind.
  18. Wow. You´ve managed to capture the slightly strange feel of early space sets while giving them a sleek and modern look. Perfect and ingenious cockpit too.
  19. Sleek and deadly looking.
  20. The Grundle would need `whiskers` like the ones used on the Stone Army vehicles.
  21. Simple. They´re not that interesting compared to the actual sets. And I think most people think `Bah, what are these crummy little things? They make no sense as vehicles.`
  22. Darn, I was hoping Evo also had a blue head. Oh well, can´t have everything. Seems the summer wave is making up for the small amount of blue in previous waves.

  24. Sorry for the double post, but here are two pics showing the front of the Hive Crawler and the Galactic Titan respectively. The Hive Crawler looks just as good from the front, although I´m worried about how well the cockpit area is enclosed. Something to fix probably. The Galactic on the other hand seems to only have improved. It seems to have a `press here` pop-up double cannon and the cockpit is one of the best I´ve ever seen. I´m curious how the space ship attaches, as the other shows it being obscured. Or, and here´s my stroke of genius does the Titan have cockpits on both ends? Possible, seeing as the spaceship part seems able to seat two. If so, the humor value alone makes this my (second) favorite set of the year.
  25. Nice shape.
