What are you talking about? This is great! Lovely landscape effects and the creature is well-integrated into it.

Those little bugs look awesome.

The use of the telephone and the binoculars there is just perfect. It adds just the right amount of detail.

Truth to be told, the Mosquitoid shares more features in terms of the head with both the Larvae as well as the new fig. For one thing it has antennae. Also, the Buggoids have much more bulbous heads. The most important factor are the wings however. Based on that I would say that the Larvae and the Mosquitoid are the same "species", but that the new fig is a separate kind.

Awesome! I think this is my favorite piece of artwork from you.

Too bad this one didn't win. Mind if I experiment with the idea?

Fan names aren't supposed to make sense. It's just what we thought it was when we saw early pics and we've just continued to call it that.

Just in terms of funding. More funding for Chima would mean less funding for Galaxy Squad. And it was mostly a joke anyway.

Seems like a good way to get extra stone army minifigures, but I would have preferred it to have included the Kimono versions of Jay and Zane with their new elemental swords.

Smart mod to the torso build. I might try that myself.

Single Pane Action Theme Funnies
DraikNova replied to Amset-Rah's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
These are ridiculous, but in a good way. -
A new battlepack? Sounds interesting.

Thanks for the inspiration. After misreading your idea, I came up with this: Insectoid Lab Price: $60 Parts: 540 Minifigures: New alien figure (possibly with special bladed hands/arms, but using the "old" wings in purple) and three Larvae A slightly skeletal alien laboratory, featuring a "Bug Scientist" creating new "breeds" of Insectoids (vehicles). Comes with an assortment of modular segments to mix-and-match construct your own Insectoid creatures.

I think the Oompa Loompa's will probably be short-legged minifigures .- 1,076 replies

Well, the new game seems interesting.

All pretty awesome. The Beetle, the Spyrius Havoc Tank, the Stampede, the Pisces and the awesome Verne Submarine stand out to me. The Korova, which looks like a slightly plain, Sci-Fi bus, has it's own charm. I realize I just named half of them, but hey, they're all great.

A pack with exclusively recolored Brain Slugs would be a MOCcers dream.

Legends of Chima future tribes ideas.
DraikNova replied to DarkSurgeXL's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
A misread of the word Hyacinth in the above tekst gave me an idea for a new tribe: the Hyena Tribe! -
Wow. I saw these on flickr a while back, and these are awesome.

I think that to make a proper Bounty, we would need a LDD RCB. Actually, to make a full-scale Bounty you'd need a complex structure of technic beams, similar to those on a real ship.

Legends of Chima 2013 (Action Figures)
DraikNova replied to DarkSurgeXL's topic in LEGO Action Figures
I think those are just standins for the printed parts. LEGO does that pretty often. -
I didn't even notice the engines before. Those look great!

The red with the "swamp" green accents looks great.

Truth to be told, I'm half-hoping Chima get's cancelled next year so Galaxy Squad has room to grow. And if we compare the last space theme that survived for over a year (to see if Galaxy Squad could continue), that was Mars Mission. First year of Mars Mission vs Galaxy Squad? No contest right?
