Legends of Chima future tribes ideas.
DraikNova replied to DarkSurgeXL's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
I've got it: the dung beetle! Just joking, but a frog tribe would be cool. -
It might not be the moon, just a planet. And LEGO has given themes far less descriptive names in the past (what does M-Tron mean?).

MSFC A Journey to the Center of the Earth.

That would still be way to large, implying a 250 meter tall Tyrannosaur. -
It´s going to be hard to get the sets I want this year, what with the must-get Galaxy Squad sets. I might even have to limit myself to Surge and Dragon Bolt, the best two of this wave (In my opinion at least). Oh, and I think someone stole the third lightning piece from Dragon Bolt´s wings .

If it wasn´t for TMNT I would suggest a turtle tribe. -
Isn't it about time....

Another Space LDD RCB seems kind of bland, even if it is as different as classic and realistic. Perhaps a steampunk one? -
Is it strange that I like the small dragon catapult more than the actual dragon? I wish LEGO would remake the dragon design into something as detailed as the molds from the Dino line. Aside from that, the new horse armor is nice, but not as usable for small dragon MOCs as I had hoped. Oh well, could still be useful.

This had to be done: Insectoid Hive-Builder Price: $15-30 Parts: 140? Minifigures: Green Buggoid 2x, Red Buggoid 1x, Mosquitoid 3x, Larvae 6x, Armored Mosquitoid 2x Comes with a small assortment of alien weaponry. I might think up some army builders for the Squaddies, perhaps a seperate one for each team.

Let me make a guess at how much I will spend on Galaxy Squad this year, if the prices are low and I don't buy multiples: 10+20+30+45+60+80+20+45+60+80=450!!! I'm going to have to skip some of those that aren't absolute favorites to keep this year affordable. Now, let's see again, with those sets removed: 30+60+45+60+80=275 Still a heck of a lot, but at least it's affordable.

Well, slightly messy, but a lot better than most of the MOCs out there.

Thanks for the inspiration ! Anyway: CabooseBM accidentally quoted an old post. Also, Dragon Bolt's Brain is a mix of blue and lime, not yellow like Lockon Stratos said.

Skunses? Anyway, an anteater tribe or perhaps a panther tribe would be interesting. -
Personally, I hope to MOD Dragon bolt into a much larger version, with a snaky neck and tail and make him bulkier. I might use some of the large amount of tr. blue that's being released, too.

Expect the same thing to happen if this theme takes longer than seven months to get here.

The new game (http://www.toyark.com/news/toy-fair-59/toy-fair-2013-lego-games-images-7245/) looks pretty awesome. Also great if you want a lot of Chi for a small amount of money.

Kaboom. Please step around the pieces of exploded brain.

Me, with the earlier toy fair.

Sorry for the double post, but here are toy fair pics: http://www.toyark.com/news/toy-fair-59/toy-fair-2013-lego-galaxy-squad-images-7240/ The Centipede looks great with all that lime. And the Armored Mosquitoid has extra dark red Exo-Force robot hands to hold the blades! Good job with that fig LEGO, good job. The little Insectoid base is pretty nice for one of two extra models.Very nice little tower. The Titan itself...Oh My God That Is Bulky. For a moment there I thought the windscreen was made out of three different pieces! And it seems my "double-ended control idea was right. Lol value right there. This set is a definite buy and possibly even a double or triple-buy. The Mech hasn't changed much. The little jet on it's back looks nice and the two Insectoids have a great wasp-like look. The Hive Crawler. I thought this one couldn't be improved upon. I was wrong. It includes an Armored Mosquitoid! And it looks really scary in that box pose with it's mandibles. Plus, the Red squad vehicles are perfect. One little glider, with those tr. light blue blades and a sleek, perfect fighter. The egg-launcher looks like it will work really well. Also, the Larvae look like they're meant to be usable both as flying waspy-creatures as well as, when you turn them over, scorpions! This set might be my favorite of all time, tying with the other flagship of this wave, the Galactic Titan. And this one is smaller, so the awesomeness per euro is a lot higher. The Crater Creeper itself is not so impressive and only useful to give your Insectoids more troops, but the Green Squad vehicle (seemingly piloted by an older squaddie than Chuck Stonebreaker) looks utterly perfect. This theme is hands-down the best space theme of all time.

Wow. Extremely creative.

Legends of Chima 2013 (Action Figures)

What gold shoulders? The wide shells? Anyway, I still like Razar, but oh damn Worriz is growing on me. Good colorscheme and nice recolors. I just wish I could afford all of these. Cragger seems to use a lot more dark green now. Let's just hope the bent blade isn't an indication of what to expect from the set. Seems like one of the best. Gorzan looks worse now than he did before. I'm definitely not getting him now. Eris looks plain silly with the chest piece turned over. I'm going to stand by what I said; the only reason someone would want that set is for the tr. blue. Laval looks equally silly with the chestpiece, but his exclusive gold parts, the longer tr. blue shells exclusive to him plus the tr. blue blades I might pick this one up. -
Wow. Dragon Bolt's Brain looks so much better with that mix. Lime-ish and light blue goes great together. I'm not that happy about him having only two big blades per wing, but I'm going to MOD that anyway. As a matter of fact, I might just skip another set and buy a second one of him. Jet Rocka looks a lot less topheavy now, which might have something to do with his other major improvement: his windscreen is now higher, which means it covers his face better. A little MODding should perfect that. Now, Frost Beast definitely looks very happy about being controlled. Anyway, his tr. light blue looks much better here. 3m and 4m shells? Great! Savage Planet claws? Awesome? New blade piece? . Evo? Well, I'm going to change that orangish spike in his weapon with a yellow one, but for the rest he's perfect. Why they put Surge in a prancing pose I don't want to know. Anyway, he still looks great with all his recolors. Aquagon hasn't changed much. Still looking pretty good. If I had to pass on any one of these, it would probably be this one, although the tr. blue is tempting. Stormer looks insane. The tr. light blue shells are really fitting for him, and his shield weapon looks great. The visor printing looks like he's wearing one of those (what's it called...) night masks.

We've already long seen those. As a matter of fact, we've already got some of the sets.

The new hammer piece seems interesting, and the Gorilla head on the new Speedorz looks great. The weapon Eglor has in the Twin Bike seems rather creative, just like the little heli Razcar uses. The jet form looks more interesting than the bike to me. Also, I wonder if those are chrome 3x3 dishes. The Gorilla mech looks perfect with that blue. And that's a serious NPU of the motorcap pieces for the feet and shoulders. Banana cannon? Hell yeah! The little tree is icing on the cake. I might just get this one. Especially with those awesome fist add-ons and hammer pieces. The Combat Lair's little doggy-trikes look rather nice, but seeing how blank the back of the vehicle and the messiness of the front without the trikes, I'm only getting this one if it gets great reviews. I do like those trans-red weapon pieces though, and the little copter is perfect. Overall though, it's just not worth the money. The Chi Temple, now that's one that's seriously improved. The streams of Chi look great and the path was what was missing to make it look great. The little Croc bike is also great, but I'm going to pass on this one, if only because of it's price (I'm saving up for Galaxy Squad).

Legends of Chima 2013 (Action Figures)
DraikNova replied to DarkSurgeXL's topic in LEGO Action Figures
Well, that would mean two extra small joint pieces, but from the pose (how close together they seem to start) of the wings I would say that they used one of those connectors from Drilldozer. -
Wow. Beautiful colorscheme, what with the white, teal and brown. The way the main engines end in two prongs is just utterly insane. Very creative.
