  1. You understood correctly. That might work the best. I think with a pin stud, it might get the correct height. It does not need to support much weight.
  2. No, it's a pin hole. @nikolyakov, I was looking for something more Technic-y, but that could work. Also a little more "off-road" would be nice.
  3. I am looking for an idea for a small trailing caster wheel for my Triple project. Something like this. I hope to have the wheel have a total height of about three studs and mounted to a plate. I have a solution, but it does not pivot. A pivot would be much better. I hope to use this wheel. I would be grateful for any solutions.
  4. I used a spring for the trunk of my large sedan that might help. The key was complex linkage for the hinge. See here. I added a damped spring, which made the opening and closing very smooth.
  5. I am also guessing dyno, but I hope it is the base of a parade float.
  6. Agreed. Placing a 16t gear on a pin rather than an axle would be great at times.
  7. The blue and lime work well together. Thanks for sharing.
  8. Do you plan to use this setup in a full car? With a little strengthening and modification for wheels, this set up might prove beneficial.
  9. This is a great challenge. Thanks for posting this. I will have to try to do something very unique, including a machine never done in Lego before. The part count might be a little bit of a challenge.
  10. Thanks for all the updates. Sounds like some great news, and some great new parts including the tires, the panels, and the flexible axles.
  11. Very cool design. I love the simple steering system.
  12. Is the inside clearance of the new rims the same as the old rims, even though the reinforcements are different?
  13. I don't mind it. Turning all the pages keeps me young.
  14. Again, great MOC GuiliuG. Thanks for the Instructions.
  15. I have tried a Prowler in the past, but the different wheel sizes always caused aesthetic issues for me. I might try it again.
  16. Your right. This one is a little bit more recent. http://thirdwigg.com/2013/08/09/bedford-mwd/ I will be using these locking differentials in the future again. It worked great. Also, I am working on an SVT Lightning. (http://www.flickr.com/photos/thirdwig/9491132410/)
  17. I guess it has been a little too long since I have been here. I have posted some new MOCs on my website, including this working Feller. Enjoy.
  18. After six months of working, I am finally done with my Spitfire MkIIa. The MOC has working propeller, propeller pitch, landing gear, cockpit controls, rudder, elevators, ailerons, flaps, and accurate markings. Much more at thirdwigg.com. http://www.brickshel...ireMkIIa/03.jpg Enjoy. 19. It might be a little too "sticking out." Dieterr89 came up with this solution, which might work well.
  20. This has got to be close to the scale of the Lego 9396. Do you think you can incorporate it?
  21. Friends, I am looking for some ideas for creating this RAF Roundel in bricks/plates for an upcoming technic/model team MOC I am working on. Do you have any ideas. The diameter needs to be be 5-8 studs.
  22. I am watching this subject closely, as I think I may submit a design. I would be surprised if LEGO will give any more design limitations than what has already been stated, other than a due date. Previous challenges have been as simple as "design a Unimog" or "design a 4x4." While I think it is important to acknowledge price considerations, I would be surprised if they give constraints to motors used, parts used, size, etc.
  23. This is a great design. One day when I have some ambition, I will need to build a helicopter for this rotor setup. Very well done. Right now my ambitions are a little overwhelmed.
  24. I would go with 8880. I think it is the most significant Technic set.
