  1. Nice work, I like the inclusion of a well and the arches are well thought of! The brown and gold details also add a lot, it's nice to see a sandy build from you!
  2. Great job, I love the arches here and the lava stream is a great touch! All the grey birds there look great as well!
  3. Congrats on the green star!

Thanks, Kai NRG! I was stoked when I found out.

  4. Awesome build, in particular the building off to the left and all the vines! Like the boats too and the details on the side of the canal are great!
  5. No suspension. In fact, I didn't like the set at all (my brother has it), but he loves it so I guess it's just a matter of taste!
  6. It's not necessary to actually show the minifigure in your builds I'm sure, but if you don't make any mention of him at all, I'm not sure how much that would be considered as finishing the saga; the idea I believe is opening up a new chapter where Revolword is not there/has been changed for the beginning at least (though many have left open the possibility of his returning). For voting purposes I do think a lot will depend on the ending of the story, so if you're trying to win there not talking at all about Revolword might not be the best idea. But I'm pretty sure something like that wouldn't disqualify you or anything! Of course I'm no authority. Just my two cents! Oh, and there is a thread for Challenge VI questions here. Might want to ask there?
  7. If you feel an open box, the number may not be accurate; WhiteFang was talking about a sealed, new-from-factory box. Besides, IDK how good your feeling skills are or what you felt, but if you did feel just a mug, a few of those could have been librarians.
  8. Congrats to both of you!
  9. Thanks dG, I only wish it had floated whole...
  10. Thanks Ecc! Thanks! This was one of those few MOCs I felt I could just keep adding and adding details to, that's the great thing about markets!
  11. This was awesome to follow ska, I've done a few brick-built games myself but nothing like this scale! Great to see Azc survived, though it is kind of a shame he had to get swept downstream... but anyway at least I don't have to worry about the fact that I included him in several of my challenge VI builds now...
  12. Forgot to mention my latest free-build here, since it's set in Valaryio:
  13. Great job DG, especially with the third build which is fantastic! Love the triangular arches and all the details on the wall! And strings of flags like that are always winners! The interior is awesome as well, love the back wall! I do think your first build just... IDK, lacks something. Seems to me you could do better than that. Part of the problem is that your forced perspective is not rectangular in appearance; instead it looks something like a trapezoid. Nevertheless, quite an impressive entry!
  14. Added the second part of my Challenge VI now: And I forgot to mention earlier that I have another free-build up:
  15. Thanks Gideon! Part two is up now, I hope you guys enjoy it!
  16. Thanks everyone, I'm glad you think my photo quality has improved! Looking back at some of my first, wow I used to be pretty lousy... Good point. But my thought was more or less that it would be easier just to hoist things up (the guy on the bottom pushing and the guy on top taking it), and when a person wanted to go up they could take the stairs. And of course, if I had put it there, you wouldn't be able to see the stairs as well... Yeah, it bothered me too. Unfortunately I only have one 1x2 dk grey tile (I was able to get around the second stair by using a 2x2, but those were in short supply as well), so I didn't have much choice...
  17. That's strange; I see it fine. Are you sure it doesn't have something to do with your browser settings?
  18. Minifigure: Daredevil Theme: Action/City
  19. Great job, Legonardo, the roof an chimney especially are awesome! Also one of your best irregular bases, keep it up!
  20. I take it your name is meant to be "be kind so rewind", or is it "be kind sore wind"?

    1. bekindsorewind

      bekindsorewind

It is "be kind so rewind" ;)

  21. DC, actually once you realize the water is lower than the bank that part looks quite nice (though I didn't quite get the impression of a big river fading away), but about the waterfall, I think the problem is you can't quite tell, from the pictures, that the way is blocked. I see some vines but it looks like water could get through pretty easily. Perhaps some more debris actually spilling out onto the wheel (which does look like it's in remarkably good condition) or at least farther up (or down) the spillway would add to the effect? Of course, all that is completely minor when you consider the MOC as a whole, the ruined condition does have a stunning effect!
  22. Illrisca, a middle-sized city of Valaryio, is home to some of the busiest markets in Historica. A Kaliphlin family has settled down in a spacious house right next to one of the biggest markets in the town. A shot of the busy market: Buy anything from jewelry and diamonds to chicken legs to bread straight from the oven! Two children stage a mock battle on the small lawn: Sorry if some of the pictures weren't so great, the weather was uncooperative and I had to dismantle it soon after... How does it compare to my previous Valaryio build? I'm sure my tan brick count has improved, if nothing else! If I had had a bit more time I might have tried to throw an interior in there, but unfortunately I didn't get the chance. A couple more pictures on Flickr anyways!
  23. Actually I believe the water is lower than the surroundings, it's just the angle that makes it look odd. I do agree with Z that the waterfall seems odd in that it's not going where you would naturally think... though I do realize it's supposed to be an old and no longer functioning waterwheel. However, truly fantastic work with the roof and the landscaping is wonderful. Love the rockwork in particular!
  24. Thanks to all of you! Thanks! I don't recall having seen a reed ship, but it does looks reedy, so to speak...
  25. This is awesome so far Ska, I've caught sight of Azc a few times now so it's good to know he's not dead... yet!
