@Z, I like what you've changed so far, that certainly makes this a bit more new-user friendly. How up-to-date are the current scores? You scared me there for a second putting Mitgardia on top of Kaliphlin... -
Thanks all of you! Just as long as that's not all we do... Thanks, LD! I'm always glad to hear that (it never get's old ). Hmmm... maybe I could do a scene of the Lord of Gelvum inventing record players... I'm actually surprised you like that so much, I thought it was a bit plain (though it did turn out better than I anticipated in the pictures). Thanks!

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 11 Rumours & Discussion
Kai NRG replied to CM4Sci's topic in Special LEGO Themes
They look official. Only... would TLG really use that gun for the evil robot? And something seems a bit off about the welder's mask. They aren't (to me) particularly awesome, but I do like the trans-blue popsicle. -

And here's another free-build from me... Mypa Steador Transport -
Transporting goods to Mypa Steador, 12 hours, 5 days a week, rain an' wind an' road permitting! Happens to be good right now... This is probably (to date) one of my best yet. At least in my opinion; certainly it's my best rockwork (because for once I didn't run out), and I was pretty happy with the way the covered wagon came out! I only wish I had a new style horse... Here's a view of the vig without the wagon: Unfortunately some people have been under the (highly erroneous) opinion that Kaliphlins do nothing but hug their gold and spout trash-talking all day long. These people have hopefully now been undeceived. If not, I believe they soon will be! Comments are welcome!

Da maximus pretty much summed the free-build thing up, but I would add that you (at least the way things now stand) won't know what your build scored. But apparently the max sum isn't that much (ZC hinted that). But of course every little bit helps! -

Congrats Ecc! -
Yeah, like SK said more tree branches definitely adds to it! Also thanks for the picture of the other side, it really looks great from there!
-
Thanks Gedion and Da Maximus! Yes, I'm discovering that to my cost... Thanks! Sort of, but actually both horse and bird are teasers for a couple more projects...
-
Over the river and through the woods, To Grandmother's Damaximus' house we go! Isn't that horse design neat? Oh yeah, I got it here... Just a quick little build... actually I built the base for a covered wagon transport to Mypa (coming soon!), but it was too small (and then I built another vig, which was also to small... and my third one was in danger of the same problem but it's been fixed!) C&C welcome! Thanks for looking!

Yes, I think that's what I'll do! Thanks for the advice... Edit: And here's the first one! -
Thanks DM and SK! I thought the floor was more or less steriotypical, but I'm glad you guys found it interesting! Thanks! The plates with downward clips is just for decorational purposes... it enlivens the wall a bit and means I can use my 1x2s with holes which saves me a few bricks! I've used them quite a bit, though I do think this is the lowest on the wall I've put them.

Reading this thread (in particular all the edits...) has been quite funny! @Wedge, not everything that's built is that big. While it's true that there aren't many MOCs posted that are 10x10 or less, there have been quite a few under 16 square (mostly by me... I'm in the same pieceless boat... ), and even more under 32 square! And if anyone thinks their skills aren't good enough, you should see my first...

Thanks! Decorated bases are fun! The pillow actually has a crack in it... or really, two cracks which aren't so noticeable in the picture. I used two Technic half pins, one in the bottom of each curved white piece and in the top of the other.

Just finished another free-build and story: I've been trying to get a supplies-to-Mypa Steador build done, but every base I build for my covered wagon ends up too small. So I've got two bases lying around (I'll be sure to make it big enough next time!), what I'm wondering is (one's 16x12, the other's 16x24 - which would have been big enough if I hadn't tried to make it a bridge over two rock/cliffs), should I use them both for my Tales from the Past in one post, or use one for Tales from the Past (I guess the abbreviation TP would never do... ) and one as *just* a free build? -
Part One Part Two "He's coming to!" exclaimed a cheerful voice at the young lad's side. "That's good to hear. What is your name, young sir?" Something it the youth's manner made the servant instictively say sir. "Call me... call me Kalaflar." "Call you Kalaflar? Aren't you Kalaflar?" "It was my Uncle's name before me," Kalaflar explained. The servant started slightly, as though the mention his uncle surprised him. "Then my master will be doubly glad to see you. Come though, first you must eat and bathe." Several minutes later, Kalaflar, now in the dress of a young page, was ushered into the noble's presence. He made a low reverence, and then, straightening himself, looked curiously about the room. It was warm and well furnished, with several tinted windows that let the light in. On one side of the room, directly in front of him, lay the old noble, while at the foot of his couch stood a young knight, whom Kalaflar correctly supposed was his son. The noble looked at him kindly, and endeavored to rise slightly, while the servant lady at one end hastened to slide a pillow under his head. "I have been told your Uncle was Kalaphlar, the general sent by Dextrus Flagg for the selection of a city?" "He was, sir." "Then I have some information you may want to know. The news of the cowardly attack on your encampment has outraged every loyal Kaliphlin, and they have pushed the robbers back so far as to break the power of all the disloyal knights... except one, the most powerful..." he trailed off for a second, and his eyes wandered down the edge of his garment. For some reason, Kalaflar felt a cold shiver run through him. "But things are looking up," the noble continued more cheerfully. "Dextrus has determined to build the city on the spot you found, in honor of your sacrifice. Your Uncle will be buried with royal honors - his body was retrieved from the attackers. Indeed though, we had thought that none had escaped. How was it you survived?" And Kalaflar related the circumstances immediately surrounding the attack in great detail, during which all present listened attentively, for it was the only firsthand account available. When he had finished, the noble presented him to his son, a young man named Gascoyne. "I am sure we will be good friends," Gascoyne said frankly. The old man nodded. "Why don't you take him out now? Show him around the palace and get him settled." So Kalaflar found a new home... but for how long would it last?

I think the introduction part refers to the fact that it's an introduction to the guilds, not that you introduce yourself here. -
But at least we are fair and un-biased! (I really should stop this...)
