Yeah, I can't seem to get the natural look of changing surfaces. I'll look into it some more.

Kaliphlin Guild: Homepage, Sign-up and Discussion
Nightstalker replied to Si-MOCs's topic in Guilds of Historica
That was quite the celebration! Now it's time to get back to work! Link: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=83652 -
It wasn't long after the celebration before Lukan and I received new orders. Yoko arrived with two soldiers, telling us that our next assignment was to explore the Akhenaten Delta. With a fort established close to the Loop, it's probably best we establish an outpost near the ocean, just in case someone tries to sneak into Kaliphlin through the Delta. Hopefully, an outpost is already established near the Delta since Ras-el-Akhen is nearby. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Overall MOC Yoko and Soldiers Picture of shore (close to Mpya Stedor) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hope you enjoyed the MOC. Seeing as how one of my building projects is coming to a close, hopefully I should be posting more than one GoH MOC a week. I know there is a location north of Qakyr that is open to attack, but are there any other locations that could use an outpost in the interior of the Siccus Badlands? As usual C&C is always welcome and appreciated!!!

Eric joined the BLG while the guild was still beginning. He is a priest that has trained specifically in holy, healing magic and repulsing unholy. As a priest of Leik, the Titan of Light, he is always among others that need healing or holy blessings. Like other priest of Leik, he follows a Lawful Good alignment, and he follows it closely. As a high elf and a priest, he is very useful to bring along when injury will become something common. His role in the guild is very vital, and some quest may have ended prematurely if it wasn't for his holy assistance. Kendrick's Journey Pt. 1 (built by my little bro)
Nightstalker replied to soccerkid6's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
That is pretty good. I don't see much that he could improve on. The layering and use of foliage is good, and the pond/lake/etc. looks nice and peaceful. I hope he has safe travels! Nice MOC  -
I think it is safe to say that the world is dangerous. This next tip is especially important for beginners, so let me introduce... Tip #8: Party Up! - When you start out, it helps to find a group of people to adventure with. Solo adventuring can be very dangerous, especially if you don't know the lay of the land. Besides, you're bound to learn something useful from your time with others. Furthermore, partying up with other adventurers allows you to tackle harder quest, which will usually pay out more. Lastly, adventuring can get rather lonely at times. With the right group of companions, your adventure can become huge one day or dare I say, LEGENDARY!!! So party up as soon as possible! You don't want to be without a group! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Additional Picture Hope you enjoyed HNGK: A Guide for New Adventurers, Tip #8 Stay tuned for Tip #9 As usual Decals by Saber-Scorpion C&C is always welcome and appreciated!!!

Kendrick's House (built by my little bro)
Nightstalker replied to soccerkid6's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
At 11 years old, this is really good. If he keeps this up, he'll turn out to be an awesome builder. Anywho, The landscape is well detailed and so is the house interior. I think a different type of window might work a bit better though. Not that it's wrong or anything, but I've never liked the traditional house windows. Can't wait to see more -
As one of the later members to join the BLG, Kunnar is one of the highest ranked guild members. As a hunter, Kunnar has tracked, captured, and killed various creatures and people. He is skilled in using bows, pistols, and various melee weapons, holding expertise in spear combat. Furthermore, because of his Arvesh background, Kunnar can easily trek through various landscapes with ease. Typically, he is a Neutral Evil alignment, and most "good" members of the guild have trouble getting along with him; his ruthlessness matches his skill. Any time a quest is marked as an "A" or "S" ranked quest, he is one of the top members to bring along. Right Hand: Amber Armorbreaker (2 Handed) Secondary Weapon: Ankoran Flintlock Pistol Tertiary Weapon: Hunter's Knife Armor: Arvesh Huntsman Mail ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Overall MOC Troll in Landscape Side View Close up of Land Kunnar's POV Member 23/25 Hope you enjoyed the MOC. West Inner Mpya Stedor in a Celebration Time!
Nightstalker replied to Maxim I's topic in Guilds of Historica
This is pretty awesome! Just the sheer amount of detail in this build, not to mention the use of pretty much everyone's sigfigs! I even managed to find Djun and Lukan on Flikr- 43 replies

Within the shadows of the Necropolis, many dark forces meet for yet another special occasion. It seems that the Necropolis lords have paid a high amount of coin for the death of a very special target. With a new mark available, Ramiel, Vincent, Arak-bin Jsef, and their Vaelos discuss who shall hunt down this target. Each man has his own particular skill set, and all are equally deadly. Most would see this as an unfortunate event, but this is merely another meeting of darkness. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Overall MOC Bridge View Under the Bridge Arak-bin Jsef and Vaelos (from left to right) Vincent and Ramiel (from left to right) Hope you all enjoyed the MOC. Isaac joined the BLG not too long after it had been established. While most members of the BLG have more traditional combat experience, Isaac learned dirty fighting and swordsmanship primarily through pirating. It isn't uncommon to see him getting into fights over ridiculous things. He also stands out by having more of a True Neutral alignment. Of course, that is not to say he won't lean to one path or the other. Those looking for a guild member who will back you in every situation look no further. Just be prepared to get into several scraps! As the BLG was rising to power, Jusik soon found himself recruited by one of the members of the BLG. Jusik is a skilled strider, and can be rather cocky at times. He is skilled in using various types of bows and curved swords. Among other skills, he also takes pride in his ability to "charm" others. Jusik has a Chaotic Good alignment, and can be rather difficult to get along with. However, due to his well rounded combat skills, he is a good ally to bring along when multiple skills are needed to complete a quest. I'm not a big fan of super heroes, but my dad is. Though I've never read the comic or watched anything having to do with this fight, I'm aware it happened (probably not here, but it's not a big deal). With Father's Day being around the corner, my brother decided to pick up some sets so we could put together a gift. Here it is: Lower Walls Upper Walls POV's I hope you enjoyed the MOC. Chopinski joined the BLG while it was still emerging. Originally, he was one of the gnome tinkerers that helped develop the portals inside of the Black Lance Guildhouse. Later, he found himself being asked to join for his ingenuity. Though he may be small in stature, Chopinski is a skilled crossbowman and he also helps craft all sorts of tools for guild members. He is also quite a skilled lock picker and an inventor. He is generally aligned as Chaotic Neutral, When a quest needs interesting tools or a small marksman, he's the guy to take. Armor: Engineer Work Duds Right Hand: Tinker Killer 3000 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Overall MOC Gnome Engineering at its finest! Member 20/25 Down to the final 5 members then hopefully a surprise! Hope you enjoyed the MOC. As usual C&C is always welcome and appreciated!!!

For general castle pieces, I'd go for the Uruk Army set. It has some good minifigs, and several cool pieces (1x2 brick pattern pieces and cool equipment). Foliage can easily be picked up by getting the Forest Ambush set from the new castle line. For specific guild building patterns: Kaliphlin: look at buying some Prince of Persia sets from Bricklink (or just picking up several different shades of tan and gray pieces) Avalonia: if you can still find some of them, the Kingdoms line of sets are pretty good Mitgardia: you might be able to pull a mix of LotR sets and the new Castle line to get a good amount of gray bricks. As for the green and yellow, you'll probably have to order them from Bricklink. Nocturnus: Look at some of the Knights Kingdoms sets on Bricklink, or look at picking up some of the evil villain sets from the Castle line. I might not scrap all of your SW stuff because you might find have some interesting pieces for use.

Kaliphlin Guild: Homepage, Sign-up and Discussion
Nightstalker replied to Si-MOCs's topic in Guilds of Historica
After I stop by Qarkyr, I'll send word to get some defenses towards that location. ------------------------------------------- OoC -I think we should possibly do something similar to the walls of Valholl that the Mitgardians are working on, especially if we're trying to make it a community build. Another idea is to possibly have people just start designing buildings or fortifications at the location and put them together to form a new city. Just a couple of quick thoughts -

Long ago, before the first era, lived a valiant paladin known as Ciele. He fought alongside other light wielders to repel the Demon King and his army. They fought through his hordes of demons, and came face to face with him. Though he fought valiantly, Ciele was slain in battle by the Demon King. However, his soul never returned to the Titan of Light; instead, his soul was snatched away and turned split in two. The King had never fought a human as strong as Ciele. Rather than letting his soul depart, he reanimated Ciele's body and placed a portion of his soul within. The other half was shaped into a creature that was similar to his likeness... Though he now serves the Demon King, legend has it that during the day he waits for a fighter strong enough to finally free his soul. When night falls, he hunts alongside of the white wolf. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Unmodified Pics Different Angles Ciele the Wolf Knight Hope you enjoyed the MOC. I've been waiting for a moment to make a cool MOC for this guy. I tried doing a little bit of modification for the pictures and I think it turned out well. I know the paint job is not too good, but I rather like it. This guy is roughly based off of Knight Artorious from Darksouls and his friend the Great Grey Wolf Sif . Almost 4 miles from our last encounter, we found the camp. Lukan and I were surprised to find orcs up here, but it was only a group of four of them. While Lukan decided to take another route into the camp, I once more found myself diving head first into battle. Despite the orcs being well equipped, they never saw it coming. With the orc bandits now slain, we'll probably gather their loot and make for Qarkyr shortly... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Overall MOC Djun's POV I experimented with a new technique for an arcane "push", I rather like how it turned out Hope you all enjoyed the MOC WIth any luck, I should be out of these mountains with a small amount of coin. I hope I can leave it with someone in Qarkyr; if not, then I'll have to trek through the land and make for Mpya Stedor once more. I'm pretty sure they could use the coin. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- With any luck, I'll be building some more GoH MOC's soon. I find myself busy working on another project which should be 1/3 complete by next week. Anyways... As usual C&C is always welcome and appreciated!!!

I always find myself envious of the scale of your builds and everyone else's for that matter. Nice wall, and the path below is pretty darn good as well. I really like your minifig combinations too. Overall this is a freakin' sweet build.

Moving along, this next tip is important for everyone to remember. It will not only save your live, but help keep some copper, silver, and gold in your pocket as well Tip #7 - Potion are expensive and cannot be carried in massive quantities! Use bandages instead; they are easy to create and can help in many situations. Alchemists create these wonderful potions to restore life, but they often charge outrageous prices! On the other hand, bandages can be made from everyday materials. They may not be fast acting, but they can save your life when the red bottle goes empty. Not to mention, you never know when they might be helpful in saving someone else's life. Next time you find yourself in this situation, just remember that hard earned coin you sacrificed your arm (or other ligament) for. You don't want to see it end up in someone else's pocket immediately. Get bandages! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Hope you enjoyed HNGK: A Guide for New Adventurers Tip#7 Stay tuned for Tip #8 As usual C&C is always welcome and appreciated!!!

Bronzebeard was one of the original six members of the BLG. He is a skilled rifleman and a skilled hunter. Though he may be a rifleman, he is also a fierce melee fighter as well. He has survived countless fights using these skills. Despite being the brother of King Armenik Bronzebeard, he is always in the midst of battle with his guild mates or in the guild hall drinking in their name. He is typically aligned as a Neutral Good. He is a veteran among the BLG, and he is a powerful warrior. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Overall MOC View of Terrain You're not crossing here!
