    Here's another update. Today I've finished building a part of the first floor. I've also ordered more parts from Bricklink, so the wait for the continuation of this renovation has begun. In the mean time, please enjoy the pic below (click to view larger image): Brickshelf

    Thanks for the positive feedback. Means a lot. The whole idea is to have the house in the colors white, red and blue; white for the foundations and ornaments, red for the walls and blue for the roof. Kinda like this house. Today I'm planning to continue with the renovation. Don't know if I'll come far and/or if I'm able to photograph the next fase.

    Hello fellow Eurobrickers, Have you ever wondered how set 10228 Haunted House would look like if it was to be renovated into a brand new home with a garden all around? Well, I did. Which is why I started to build this renovation about a year and a half ago. However, life got in the way of the building process and the renovation got shelved until an unspecified date. However, it was only 2 weeks ago that I wanted to restart the renovation and got to building, with the following result (click to view larger image): However, that was when I realised there were a lot of bricks I didn't have in my collection that I needed for this renovation, so I got to Bricklinking. Ultimately, I ended up with 12 Bricklink orders with a total amount of 200 euros. And even then I wasn't done with ordering parts yet. There are still some parts that need to be ordered, but I'll only order them when the build calls for it. For example, I've already ordered quite a lot of blue slopes for the roof. Yesterday, I continued the build and ended up with the following WIP (click to view larger image): I won't be able to build much due to life getting in the way, but I'll try my best to keep you guys updated once or twice a week.     Nice and informative review! I like the way you focused on Vitruvius and the rest of the figures in this set. I'm quite fond of them and they might even persuade me into buying this set someday. The only thing missing from your review, however, is a picture/scan of the parts inventory in the back of one of the instruction booklets. I'm quite obsessed with any brand-new parts that might be released, so I would appreciate you maybe sending me a scan/picture of the parts inventory. I'm also interested in a picture of Lord Business' hat without the red cups and trans-yellow stud, as I'm curious in knowing whether his hat is one piece or multiple pieces. Thanks in advance.

    I think it's a real shame this part didn't come in LBG in the Melting Room set. It would've been a great little ornamental piece for castle walls.

    Thanks for the info. I'm always looking for never-before-seen parts, so when I first saw these new parts, I got really excited. Now that I know in which set I can get them, I'm now anxiously awaiting the moment they become available on Bricklink. The countdown has begun...

    How do you know these parts are fake? Just because the same person added them to the Bricklink-database, that doesn't mean that it's fake. And the studs of the 3x3 cross-plate clearly show the LEGO logo. Another reason why I believe these parts are real.

    I just stumbled upon the following two brand new parts: Tile 2x2 Corner at Bricklink Plate 3x3 Cross at Bricklink Here's my question: Does anyone know in which sets these exciting new parts appear? I'd really like to know. Thanks in advance for the response.

    You've read the reviews, now you have the chance to actually see the Parisian Restaurant being built, by members of Lowlug in the Netherlands! As I'm also a member of Lowlug, I just wanted to notify my fellow Eurobrickers that coming sunday 17th november, there will be a livestream of members of Lowlug building the 10243 Parisian Restaurant on a meeting in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. In case you're wondering what Lowlug is, it's a Netherlands-based web community that aims at uniting Dutch speaking adult (and teenage) LEGO fans. Having been started in 2003, this web community also aims to encourage people to build and show their MOC's, sharing ideas and discussing topics about LEGO. Multiple times a year, members of Lowlug also organize meetings where we all come together and meet in real life instead of only chatting with each other on a computer. Pretty much like Eurobricks. On November 17, a team of 4 'Lowluggers' will be building the 10243, starting at around 10:00/10:30 a.m. GMT. This will be recorded via webcam and will be streamed live on our website for everyone to see at http://www.lowlug.nl/video. Please enjoy the watch and let me know what you think of it.

    Well, they did have the 70725 (http://www.brickset.com/detail/?set=70725-1) up for display and they also had a new rhino for Chima.

    Thanks a million. Really, I can't thank you enough, both for an excellent review and superb photos of the parts list. The reason why I was interested in the parts list was mostly because I thought part 6028812 (LBG Plate, Modified 1x2 with Clip on Side) was supposed to be 2x2 studs instead of 1x2 studs. Guess I was evidently proven wrong. I think this is a new part, which hasn't appeared in sets before. Not that the other parts in this amazing model aren't of interest to me, but I'm just extra interested in this single new piece. So thank you for providing me with a good look at this piece.

    Amazing review of a great set. Thanks a million for sharing. The only thing that is of interest to me, besides the model of course, is what parts are in this set. Are there any interesting parts that could persuade me into buying this set? Any chance on a peek of the parts page at the end of the instruction booklet? I know I may be asking much, especially after the terrific job you did on this review, but I think a picture of the parts page may be interesting to not only me, but also to a lot of other LEGO enthousiasts out there who'll only buy this set for the parts. Anyway, thank you very much for this outstanding review.

Don't know if these are real though: http://instagram.com/p/RnL0CyRcU9/ http://instagram.com/p/RkXGyNRcRb/ For me, the reason I think the 1st one (Mountie) is fake, is because of the pre-used parts, such as the British Guard's torso, the head and the hat. But at the same time, there was a Downtown Cop mentioned in the list that was leaked a week ago... The 2nd one (Canadian Hockey Player) looks like the real deal to me, especially due to the hockey body armor with the Canadian maple leaf on it. Besides, the helmet he's wearing hasn't been produced in red yet.
