I just came across these polybags on Brickset and thanks to Grogall, I've now added the HQ pics: 40034 Christmas Train 40035 Rocking Horse Source 1 Source 2 Especially the little train is a must-buy for me. It's just so cute.

So it's Polar Galaxy then? Or just Galaxy?

SoF: Stephanie's Cool Submersible

Great entry and awesome vignette! I can't wait to find out who of us is going to win. Thank you. I actually had to Bricklink some of the elements to finish my entry, so I'm glad you're liking it. I especially am fond of the mix of yellow and medium lavender. Those colors make great Easter colors. -
My guess would be that TLG have used all 4 numbered sequences for their sets, therefore they'll be using 5 numbered sequences for sets from 2012 (Hobbit-sets) and 2013 on.

Thanks. It's funny that you mention the arms as a friend of mine said it resembled Doc Ock's mechanical arms. Thanks for the compliment. I really appreciate it. -

In 2010, it was the last week of August and in 2011 it was the 1st week of September. So I guess the pics will be revealed between now and a month. -
That's a real shame. I was hoping for some P&F microfigs.

I like the different layers of water and land and I simply love the little details such as the sand castle, the treasure and the beach picnick stuff. Definitely a nice way for Friends to feel at home. I also adore the way you used the green flag piece as the back of the folding chair. Great job! I know I always browse through various Brickshelf-folders for inspiration. Maybe you could do the same. For example: If you need to create a wave (or various waves, for that matter), you can take a look at this. I hope this helps.

Thanks. That's quite a coincidence. I'm curious to see what your entry is going to look like. -

Thanks. When I was about to start building Stephanie's sub back in May, I had already figured out that I needed this part for the propeller arms. So I bricklinked them through a fellow Lowlug-member. The only doubt I had was how they'd look on Stephanie's purple sub, so I'm glad you like them. Thank you. Have you participated in this contest too? Or are you planning to? Please let me know. Many thanks. You're making me blush. When I was building this MOC, I discovered that I'm quite good at creating landscapes. Maybe I'll build more of them in the future, but time will only tell... -

Actually, I got inspired to do this little play feature by this Aqua Raiders-set. I just liked it that much. Bond-like elements, you say? I guess I hadn't thought about that before. But now that you mention it, I guess it does have some Bond-like elements to it. Thanks for the compliments. I can't help but listen to the soundtrack of Finding Nemo all day, LOL. -
Last February, when I bought set 3183 Stephanie's Cool Convertible, I always wanted to modify it. It was only that I didn't know how. Or at least, that was until last May, when I had built a submersible out of Stephanie's convertible for this contest on Lowlug.nl. However, it still didn't look finished to me. So when the Summer of Friends-contest came along, I took this opportunity to build a 32x32 stud diorama (see the clickable photos below) around it to top it off. Hopefully, you guys will like this build. Enjoy! To incorporate a fun play feature, I decided to build an exploding rock as part of this diorama. Just flip the red switch at the base of the rock and a part of the top comes off, revealing a treasure underneath! And last but not least, here's a close-up of Stephanie's Cool Submersible and the Squid Warrior, who is guarding the treasure from intruders. You can view the rest of the photos right here.

The same baseplate was also used in LBG for the 2005 police station and the 2006 hospital, so I guess it's indeed time we'd see a new kind of baseplate for the Polar Xpress theme.

You can read all about it right here. -
First of all, nice MOD. I really like the simplicity of it, yet it looks terrifically realistic. Good luck with that. Seeing as you've used a 2x4 and a 1x4 plate to hold the rings (round plates 2x2) into place, I'm guessing you may want to use Bricklink for this (as the trans-clear plate 1x4 was last used in 1977 and the trans-clear plate 2x4 was last used in 1986 in an official set).

Isn't the hat made of this en this piece? If so, I like the creative use of those pieces.

Didn't we already get some sort of dinosaur (or at least something similar) in an earlier wave?

If the Friends Advent Calendar was discontinued, then why is it advertised on the back of the German catalogue? http://cache.lego.com/Flash/Portal/OnlineCatalog/Version8/pageflipdata/pdf/lego_juli_dezember_2012.pdf

I like that you, unlike me, have build this MOC rather simple. I agree with the rest of the comments that your build looks funny, yet looks elegant and brilliant as it is. I especially like that you've created a dream with these pieces as it really does the job of representing a 'dream'. Good job! I too had an interview with the same person, whose forum name is k4rp, though I don't know where to read that interview. Maybe I should send him a PM about it sometime... Oh, and thanks for the credits. I really appreciate that.
