  1. Yeah, I'd advise against the cards as your starting weapon/only weapon also. You could always buy some shurikens in the market place after your first quest, call them cards, and pretend you had them the whole time. I'm pretty sure that's allowed. But then you may have to take a free hit, and you don't have the option to attack from the front row with the not-throwing-weapon (effectively getting double damage over two rounds.) And as a Rogue, you want more attack actions to increase your Mug chance. It might be fun, though. Do what you want.
  2. "Right, I'll keep it to myself. I can't say I'm surprised, though, he wanted to kill himself when we found him. I hope he didn't go to some kind of hell." "As you wish, princess. Amorith, perhaps you could wish for us To Get Experience?" Erik hands the lamp to Amorith. "Aye, I'd be proud of her too. When we first met her, she'd just beaten a group of demons, on her own, with nothing but a chair!" "Certainly. But we can wish for experience now."
  3. "Thanks." Erik rubs the lamp.
  4. While he waits for the Provost to appear, Erik turns to Sorrow. "Now we're out of there, Sorrow, can you pass me Djinnifer's magic lamp? I'd like to see what she wants from me."
  5. "You were handy to have around yourself. Tell you what, one of the Veterans back at the hall might be able to help you branch out your magic skills a bit. Like how Amorith combines healing with his spellcasting, and Thalion and Heckz sometimes manage to confuse their opponents." "Well, in that case I'll wait until he arrives to give a full report. And I suppose I should direct most of my questions towards him, but perhaps you can tell me what ended up happening with the Dean?"
  6. "What's the difference? We didn't banish him properly, so he's free to come back and kill more people." Erik says grumpily.
  7. Erik scowls up at the sky, and the sunlight shines in through his helmets eyeholes. "Half a dozen dead kids, and an escaped archdemon. All in a days work." He stuffs the Silver Cup in his pack, and looks over at the corpse of Jonah. "Humph. Silly old fool." "Maybe I could have the Rubber Gloves? Or the Shamanic Plate, though I think I'll be giving up healing." Erik says. Heckz gives them both to him. "Oh wow, thanks, boss. Yeah, let's go see if we can still get paid for this mess."
  8. "Come out of your husk and fight, then, coward! If you can't beat less than a dozen of us, what chance have you got against a whole city?" Erik yells as the demon departs, but he is concerned that he has let the demon escape, and that it will come back later to cause more death. He drops the Titanic Axe and holds the Silver Cup of Victory in both hands, swinging it at Mirror Amorith from the Front Row.
  9. I think blinding an already blind target just resets the rounds remaining, rather than adding to them. It doesn't make a difference here, since the assassin's getting hit each round anyway, but it might come up in a future battle or something. Also, what I said earlier about Special 1 k/o'ing the target with poison... actually, it wouldn't, because everyone's blessed.
  10. I think the Chaotic Bomb should have done 200 damage to Jonah, and wouldn't the Humanoid weakness to darkness have made it do 100 damage to everyone else? Erik's smile doesn't falter as he watches Mirror Drucilla turn to stone before his eyes. He hefts Titanic Axe, looking around the battlefield. "Nice work, Darling." His gaze falls on the helpless Mirror Erik. "Boo." Erik attacks Mirror Erik with Titanic Axe from the Front Row. If Mirror Erik is already defeated, he attacks Mirror Sorrow with Silver Cup of Victory.
  11. "Hmph, okay. Seems a fitting name, though, for an evil copy of yourself." Erik says, smiling behind his helmet. He sees Amorith conjuring up some light magic that looks directed at the imitation Sorrow. "Careful, Amorith - he's immune to light. You might wanna change targets, or change elements." If Amorith continues to target Mirror Sorrow, Erik attacks Mirror Noel with his Titanic Axe from the front row. Otherwise, he attacks Mirror Sorrow from the Front Row with the Silver Cup of Victory.
  12. "I'll chop you up later, Erik. You know how it is, someone has to hit Syntax, and it might as well be me." Erik calls, his voice reverberating off the inside of his helmet. He pulls the Silver Cup of Victory out of his pack, and swings it at Mirror Sorrow, from the Front Row. Action revised.
  13. Right, thanks, but all the mirror people are "Dark", rather than "Demon". Are "Dark" and "Demon" the same, or do they just have the same elemental weaknesses and immunities?
  14. Sandy, do Mirror Hymnessamine's effects last the whole battle? What happens to enemy free hits that cost ether if they have no ether left? Do they not make free hits, or do they make normal attacks as free hits? Same for if they are sealed? Who counts as "demon" for Watt's artifact? Also, out of curiosity, what would "Immune to Instant Kill" do to Mirror Erik's special? Not that anyone is immune to Instant Kill.
  15. "You were a great help, Sorsha. We couldn't have gotten this far without you." Erik calls, as his fellow barbarian is carried away in the box. He places his Helmet on his head, before looking at his peacekeepers totem. Erik thinks back to all the people he's seen killed by the schools demons, and the Dean's horrible story. "The time for diplomacy has passed." He whispers. All the memories start to bring up other memories of death; of his parents, of the creations of the Maginastra, of the young Proggs, of Daxus, of Rorik, and of one emotion he had tried to suppress. Rage. He passes Voltedge to Hugin, and cradles his Titanic Axe in his arms, whispering to it. "You did great with Sorsha. I'll have to get the Fox to teach me some of that stuff. I shouldn't have wasted time having him teach me healing, should I? Should've learnt that fancy footwork stuff. Runnin' around, hitting everyone. Tell you how I'll make it up to you? We're gonna smash some demon heads in." He takes a practise swing, getting used to the weight of his heaviest axe after using much lighter weapons for so long. "We're ready."
  16. "Sure. Thanks for the gold. Could I have that helmet back before I go, too, please?" If Heckz gives him the helmet, Erik equips it and lowers the faceplate. Erik follows Heckz into the Atrium, and wordlessly hands Hugin his Twin Axe as soon as he sees him.
  17. "Queen?" Erik hands Watt's Artifact back to Heckz. "If there's a couple of demons in here, we're much better off having your magic bursts buffed by this thing. Thanks for lending it to me, though. That was great fun."
  18. Erik attacks Forculous (West) from the Front Row with Voltedge. Auto-rolling sounds good.
  19. Maybe drop them down to essentially an artifact? Hinckwells: +15 HP Bonapartes: +15 Power Shadeuax: +5 SP Ziegfrieds: +15 ether Invision: 1/6 chance of receiving a random positive effect before each battle. Ji Pei: +5 WP Wolfgang: +1 gold for every enemy fought after each battle. Keeps it a lot simpler. That said, I don't like the idea of more gold-gaining stuff ( ) and as I believe Zepher said, if you aren't careful playing multiple characters, you'll end up playing with yourself. (also )
  20. *Gasp* Imagine what you could do with an army of such things! Quarryman, I believe Johon's unarmed attacks actually do 32 damage, as he has a +4 power bonus from his hood.
  21. Unless I'm missing something, doesn't this meant that if someone rolls Special 1, they are reduced to 1 HP, and then take 1 poison damage at the end of the round, knocking them out? The real problem was that the moldy molds molded into the moldy molds were too moldy.U'Reeka should have cleaned the mold off the moldy molds before molding the moldy molds into the moldy molds. And for best results, he should have done so in Mold.
  22. I think Eric's my favourite character on #100. He seems like a bad guy, but he's really just from a really different culture. I love especially this bit: Plus he's got such a wonderful name.
  23. "I wonder if Aunt H. is attacking with her ether-restoring trumpet, or singing? If I were her, I'd probably attack with the trumpet." Erik muses to himself, then shrugs. He returns to the West Door and attacks Forculous with Voltedge from the Front Row. "Let me go first in the order this time Heckz - maybe save some of your ether." This is what you want me to do, right, Endy? There's a reasonable chance we'll kill it outright.
  24. Erik takes and equips Watt's Artifact, removing his helmet to get a better look at it. "I'll give this back before we go through the door. You want to borrow this helmet?" Erik offers Heckz the helmet.
  25. Erik is hit so hard by the door, his Barbarian Boots almost fall off. (He seems to have gotten Natural Respite, when I think he should have gotten Restoration.) He bends down to adjust them and tighten the laces, before standing up. "Heckz, probably best to use that Darkstar Wand I lent you, that way you'll destroy the door with one Spell. Alternatively, you could lend me the Artifact, and send me in first. That way I might be able to take it out before you have to spend any ether." He follows Heckz to the door, running at it and attacking Forculous with Voltedge from the Front Row.
