  3. So that's what's in the basement! Which conquistador remains seated on the throne for all eternity?
  4. Now, where's the third pirate theme habitat?
  5. Deliberately omitted the publish dates to see if anyone would notice. This is the first time anyone has mentioned it and the website launched back in 2006.
  6. They work particularly well in this scene... Ok, last question and I'll stop bugging you with my curiosity... Are there any Work In Progress shots for this build?
  7. I haven't seen that in years! It's been so long I've forgotten it completely - better put it on my viewing list. Also,. this mottling effect on the curiasses caught my eye. Did you create this yourself or buy pre-made customs?
  8. Ok, so the conquistadors show up first... but who are these people with the horse and map? Are they on a treasure hunting expedition?
  9. A set such as Soldier's Arsenal retailed for less than 5 Euros, didn't it? How much would one 2009 soldier and accessories cost if procure via Bricklink or similar?
  10. You deserve it - we need more small ship sets like this! Also, the blog post you're writing for this cutter is coming along nicely!
  11. Started a blog post on these wonderful little creations... M:Tron habitat and all!
  12. Ok, let's get a blog post happening for this one even though the last one hasn't been published yet. So what's happening here? The mighty Imperial Armada has arrived on the shores of the New World and now they're up to to good? Is this scene based on any actual historic events? Or merely inspired?
  13. What happened to his blogging career?
  14. There is no argument here... I'm just nitpicking the way certain words are used - like "confirmed" (in specific reference to this post) Indeed, hence my nitpicking to ensure the interpretation of what's actually happening is not obfuscated. And it's intended in a very loving, lighthearted way... which probably doesn't translate well in text.
  15. Ok, I'll go post them on the Eurobricks frontpage to increase the reliability of Eurobricks on such information...
  16. Maybe you haven't been following the topic but the announcement is allegedly on June 15.
  17. How is that a confirmation? He's just repeating the details which have been floating around since April 2.
  18. So many great ships being shared lately! But not enough bloggers to blog them
  19. Thanks for looking, Joellie! Who be this fancy-looking minifig on the upper deck?
  20. The blog post is almost ready! I was going to ask more about the sails and then I found this on Reddit: thank you so so much! i used regular A4 papers as a trail version to measure and draw the right distances between the holes and to work out the shapes. i then bought some fancy looking off-white, thick textured paper and traced the mockup sails on it, cut it out and punched some holes with one of those hole punchers. oohh yeah and then i used some black marker for the outlining of the sails, voila ! But are there any photos of the sails being made?
  21. Do it, lad! Make the piratical trinity!
  22. Toucan's work well with the Islander sub theme. Or maybe the LEGO Pirates theme with jungle elements... This trifecta would perhaps work better with a pirate habitat in the middle. The Classic Space habitats seems a little out of place adjacent the other two habitats. Nonetheless, they are all very well done!
  23. Nay. But definitely for my blue coats
  24. That has been known to happen... but it's hard to tell these days. The LEGO Group excels at repurposing pirate-themed parts in pirate-themed sets that aren't classic-style. So the tricon+hair piece could potentially be reused in a future set, but maybe not the type of set LEGO Pirate fans actually want.
  25. Maybe. But it does seem strange that employees of LEGO stores are continuing this joke 2 months later.
