The LEGO Group explored the South American cultures in an Adventurers sub-theme. A pity for Pirate fans though, because it could have made an interesting Pirate sub-theme (like you suggested) with Imperial Armada mini-figures instead of Johnny Thunder and Co. I don't think we have enough posts for a debate yet. But I think the debate Norrington is imposing is the Islanders aren't aware of the Imperials Guards existing. But think I it's a moot arguement because this is Enoa's MOC so he determine the back story and thus decides if the Islanders are aware of on the Imperial Guards existence.

No, I was referring to Lego2000 Is it really that much easier? The with latest version of these Messenger programs allows you to pretty much create a private chatroom with their group discussion/conference feature. The only notable difference is you've got to be invited to join the conversation whereas a traditional chat room anyone can enter. But as mentioned there wouldn't be enough Eurobrick users to sustain a chat room in that sense. But if anyone is that desperate for chatroom they could create on using a IRC client.

Exactly what do you mean by that Ted Beard? The LEGO Group re-released 3 Pirates sets (all from different sub-themes) in 2001 but I'd hardly call that "bringing a theme" back.

I see what you mean - I'm not sure that blue and yellow Conquistadors work for me either. Do you know if there will be more conquistador sets than just these two? Would you purchase these for yourself, or as a gift for someone else perhaps? Obviously they're quite different from LEGO but surely they beat those darn MegaBloks sets!

In my opinion the smaller sets from these licensed movie themes are no more than vignettes anyway. For example:

That'd be right... Playmobil releases all the good themes these days - and they've even got a decent sized Conquistador fort! It looks quite charming too, especially with the flowered creeper crawling up the side the fort.

Mr Athos you have become quite good at building these vignettes and I think this one could almost pass as an official LEGO set - just remove the tiles and I think you'd be there! Actually, these days I don't think I'd expect to see an official LEGO set this good.

Haaa! Haaa! That's wishful thinking. Its called Aurora Stadium now anyways... Definitely not an ideal location to host a World Cup but on a good day 1 Euro dollar is almost worth 2 Australian dollars. And you don't want to be going anywhere near cheap wine if you respect your internal organs.

It depends on the thread. This thread hasn't really gone anywhere so on that basis it might as well be merged with a more established thread, but first I must ask if anyone has anything useful to contribute which might save it from the merger.

Isn't it simpler to chat via an Instant Messenger? These days the latest versions of most messengers support group discussions (or conferences) so you're not limited to a one on one conversation. But in the case of Lego2000, he couldn't add me to his MSN List and I couldn't add him to mine so the moral to the story is don't use MSN Messenger on a Mac! :biggrin:
