This exciting! They actually exist! BrickLink might if Mr ZCerberus doesn't!

What I create are "little" MOCs X-D
-
This is quite an awesome MOC! But the first thing I'm curious to know was Gaspar inspired by the character of the same name from the animated series Mysterious Cities of Gold?
-
Yes, seriously I'd never seen them before. What's the set number for the Movie-Making set - I'll go look it up.

Awwww poor Yoda! There! There! Its only a misplaced thread. No need to get boiled up over something so insignificantly trivial. I have to disagree because 50% usually means it just passes, I.e. "I like some things but there's equally as many things I don't like" not "I feel neutral about the sets". Correct me if I'm wrong but universities all over the world assess assignments based on a score of 100, where 50 is a Pass. And that's not because the assessor feels neutral towards the outcome of the assignment, its more towards the fact the student has done enough not to fail. But anyway, its your poll and it seems to be working so I shall write no more on the matter.

Ahhhhhhhhhh a game! Games are fun! Is there any particular you didn't make this using LEGO though?

Vote for the domain name of the new Pirate LEGO Portal website
Mister Phes replied to Mister Phes's topic in LEGO Pirates
Mr Norrington, obviously they have to sound cliched because cliches are easy to remember and recognise. We don't want something that is so original and unique it can't be recognised as a Pirate LEGO website. The average AFOL has to be able to look at the domain name and instantly recognise it as a Pirate LEGO website. The Pirate LEGO Portal needs an AWESOME Domain Name thread has been around for about a week and you didn't make one suggestion for name, so its a bit late now to be saying I need to add all new choices because its not going to happen. I'm only going to add a new choice if its really really good. Users have till the end of the week to cast their vote. -
For a bit over a week we've been throwing around ideas for the name of the new Pirate LEGO Portal Website in the The Pirate LEGO Portal needs an AWESOME Domain Name thread. So read that if you're not familiar with what's been going on. I've narrowed it down to 5 choices so now you get the opportunity to vote on which domain name you think would be best suited for the Pirate LEGO Portal. Also tell us what you voted and your reasons behind it. Just remember there is no 100% guarantee that the domain with the most votes will become the domain for the Portal website. We're just looking for an idea of what users think is best name, but there may be technical reasons why that name can't be used. We may have to resort to the domain with the second highest vote. Let the voting begin!

MOC Black Pearl-lite rev2 with building INSTRUCTIONS!!!
Mister Phes replied to RTN LNA's topic in Pirate MOCs
I see you've also used the grey "Flybo" hull. The grey hulls never made it into the Pirate theme but they work quite fine for Pirate ships! -
I don't like the colour at all, but perhaps it would work if the hull pieces were brown. But another angle might help things, so I'd be curious to see what it looks side on.
-
Do you have any picture updates of what you've got so far?
-
If you have a lot of information to tell us then perhaps it would be a good idea to create a Work In Progress thread for, because it will be much more accessible in a thread of its own than as part of this thread.
-
I've experimented with in the past but this is the first time I've actually designed something with it. I'm past the steepest learning curve now so it becoming quite easy to use so I'm really liking it. And yes, I've actually redesigned the entire Sentry Box in MLCAD but I'm not going to post it just yet... ;-)
-
That's a shame because I agree that the brown looks better. Surprisingly Mr Tiber I actually noticed this about 2 and a half years ago when Captain Krag's boat was released. :-P
-
Excellent work Mr Windu! You've captured the hustle and bustle of a busy airport marvelously in this MOC. It reminds me of my last trip to the airport - not to catch a plane though, but to see one of my friends off. Still have to go through a security checkpoint to get to the departure lounge though.
-
Ahhhhh the good old pith helmet! Thanks for your encouragement and feedback folks! I'm taking your suggestions into account for the next version and I'm "previsualising" it in MLCAD. So except to see a WIP thread from me soon!

Does this hull piece come in brown? Obviously I could look for myself but that would be too easy X-D

MOC Black Pearl-lite rev2 with building INSTRUCTIONS!!!
Mister Phes replied to RTN LNA's topic in Pirate MOCs
First I be wondering why this is called the Black Pearl given that name has been made quite popular by another ship from some movie series. Can't think which one it is though... :-D But I must say Mr LNA you've managed to make those hideous 4+ sails look good! They seem to work very well with your sloop thus proving there is hope for them afterall! -
Something along those lines, but we're getting to the point where we're getting too much pinned. Might be time to look into that Index and Tutorial sub-forum.
-
I've got an idea Mr Tiber! When you finish your tutorial create a new thread for it and then we'll turn this thread into the Building Small Ships Tutorial Discussion - how's that sound?
-
Yes, that mask appeared in some of the 4+ pirate sets but I've seen it used in SYSTEM scaled Pirate MOCs and I think it works quite well. Now there's an ornate arch used in some Belville sets that I can't find a picture of on Peeron, but I own a couple. I haven't found a use for them yet but they would be good for something noble like a Governor or Baron's house.

TUTORIAL: Creating Clickable Thumbnails
Mister Phes replied to Mister Phes's topic in Forum Information and Help
Can you post a link to the thread where you were attempting to create the thumbnail? I'll have a look and then I'll tell you what you did wrong and how you should be doing it. -
These remakes are outstanding compared to the original versions, you've certainly developed them into in more attractive and powerful vessels, Mr ZCerberus. I especially like how you've gone from this to finish with this I think I wrote the original reminded me of a peasant!
-
When did they make it to SYSTEM level? Was that only in Viking sets because this is the oar that was commonly used in SYSTEM sets: I think the Fabuland oars are too big for SYSTEM mini-figures...
-
Actually I meant the other types of roof slopes.
