If you're not familiar with my Imperial Sentry Box MOC then familiarise yourself with it so you understand what's going on in this thread. Click on the thumbnails to view larger images My aim was to create a Sentry Box for the Imperial Guard theme so it looked it could have been a possible set. But many thought it looked to simplistic to be a set on its own, rather it could be part of a larger set. However, I wanted the Imperial Sentry Box to be a standalone set so I've gone back to the drawing board using MCLAD so I can use pieces that I don't own yet. First ever MCLAD creation too! I've used some of suggestions posted in the previous thread, which include slopes for the roof and adding torches. I've also added some slopes at the front and completely brick the built the rear wall whereas before it was a castle wall piece. So give me some feedback and suggestions on this incarnation and in a couple of days I'll do a plate version of the roof in MCLAD so we can compare the two.

And finally you will have an actual ship! Yaaaaay!!!

MOC Black Pearl-lite rev2 with building INSTRUCTIONS!!!
Mister Phes replied to RTN LNA's topic in Pirate MOCs
I don't think I'll be making any ships in the near future but thanks for the advice. I've never heard of of LeoCAD so I'll stick to MLCAD, but if anyone knows which is the better of the two programs then let let me know! -
I never knew this! Do you have a link to that website? It might be really useful because I'm always looking for good Spanish names.

Yes, do some experimenting and see what you come up with! If possible don't forget to take pictures so we can see what you're up to.

I'm fairly new to MLCAD so I'm wondering how did you manage to add the striped sails - as far as I'm aware they're not initially included with MCLAD so I suppose that means you needed to download .DAT files to get them. How would I go about doing this? -
So Mr Norrington, since this was your idea are you going to attempt to MOD a hull to make it float?
-
When I saw it I thought it was gonna be a big mean and nasty looking MOC that looks like it could blow down my house! X-D this Calik fellow reminds me of the creature from those Alien movies - were they any form of inspiration for this creation? Or am I seeing things that aren't there?
-
These days I post in most forums - haven't seen you in some of them though X-D I make an effort to leave some form of response to the MOCs Eurobrick user's create. But if its a MOC from a non Eurobrick user or a discussion thread then I don't usually participate.

Yet another astounding Castle MOC! There are certainly some talented Castle MOCers in this forum. I like the colour scheme you're using - you've got the green ground which contrasts well with the grey castle, and then you've got the red roof pieces which act as highlights breaking any potential for monotony to creep through. One thing that I always wonder is how long did it take to build? I'm a very slow MOCer so something like this would probably take me years.
-
It spicy and dicey as well! Quite dangerous looking actually. I don't think I'd like to mess with it! Do you have any more pictures of it? It would be interesting to see this MOC from the front and top down.

AAARRRRGGHbricks.com? Is that a vote for PirateBricks.com or a new suggestion? PirateBricks.com seems very popular so I just hope we can get it. -
He's even used green Fabuland roof pieces! I was wondering how they'd look on a bigger MOC and my question has been answered!

MOC Black Pearl-lite rev2 with building INSTRUCTIONS!!!
Mister Phes replied to RTN LNA's topic in Pirate MOCs
Maybe you could add a link to the instruction folder in your first post to make them even more accessible. Eg. This should be very clear: View the instructions for building this ship Also I notice the final page is page 23 but the ship doesn't look quite complete: Is there a page 24? -
An Imperial Armada MOC - there should be more!
Mister Phes replied to Mister Phes's topic in Pirate MOCs
Don't certain types plant of plants grow out of the water? Maybe it look better with these water plants... However they are rare and expensive hence why the builder didn't use them. -
Errr... Why am I reminded of a cement mixer when I see that last one? What piece is being used for the barrel?
-
No I misunderstood. I'm a silly little Phesical :-D
-
So what if slopes were used to build a keel which would add to the height and weight of the hull. Would that make any difference?
-
Me either, but here we see the way the Tie Fighters should have been done!
-
What a grandiose creation this is! Your hiatus was well worth the wait for this because this is looking great even though its still a Work In Progress. How much time have you spent on it so far?

Dub And Dubber - Shell Shocked was quite entertaining, the dubbed lines worked really well with the expressions on the actors faces despite them obviously acting out different lines. The syncing was a bit off in some places while in others it was right on the mark but that's just a minor grievance because the entertainment factor waves right over that technicality. Jack Sparrows voice was quite good in some parts, but not consistent enough to believe that Johnny Depp was providing the voice. So well done done to Jonathan and Daniel Kaplan for creating this clever mock video!
