Heh? What are you referring to Mr Norrington. I was referring to the lead mini-figure the Pirates of the Bahamas animation.
-
Yeah, that's what I thought Mr Windu. What do you like most about it? This MOC should be a inspiration for you! Yes it was Mr Attack, I shall add that to the first post.
-
Better still we now have an Islander MOC Index which has much better organisation
-
This MOC is linked to the Islander MOC Index Here's a MOC Mr Attack submitted to the Islander MOC Index. I'm really liking this! Awesome temple and the best use of raised baseplates I've seen in a while. View more pictures at Xenobuzz's website

It takes 10 seconds to pin the thread but I'll leave that in Bonaparte's hands because right now I'm going to create a thread for the Mayan Temple. Another advantage of these indexes is it encourages users to submit MOCs we don't already have on the forum. Which is goooooooooooooood!!!!
-
I don't believe its a problem either and my post wasn't meant to make it seem like I thought it was, I was just making an observation. However, I do think it would be nice to see an enhanced version of the "rear" structure. :-P

They used Jack Sparrow's voice - the audio was ripped straight from Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl. Had they used their own voice then that mini-figure would have less association with Jack Sparrow and be more uniquely defined.

Should be about the same amount of work as there aren't many Imperial Armada MOCs, but finding them all will be the hardest part because they're not listed in any one thread. That's the purpose of the rest of this thread - to submit MOCs that aren't in the index and it appears the thread is serving its purpose marvellously. *y* Sure. But what do you suggest we do? The Restructuring thread is there but nobody is posting in it, so I suppose you tell me your suggestions in that thread and we'll take it from there.
-
So these Fabuland roofs dating back to 1982 are officials SNOTs then? Did that make what? X-D
-
Yes, I thought the Islander MOCs were a bit "scattered" amongst the other MOCs so I instructed Bonaparte to compile this index so they were easier to find. Next I might suggest he create an Imperial Armada Index X-D

"Dagget" be a fine surname for a character from either of those themes, is it part of your real name or were you inspired to use it from another source?
-
Why thank you Mr Phred. As you can see I haven't had time to read the thread thoroughly - I've been learning the art of writing proposals to get money out of organisations you see. X-D As for your anchor mechanism (does that have an official name by the way), does that actually function (I.e. fully raise and lower the anchor) or is it just a superficial detail with some customisability?
-
Mister Phred, I'm wondering what is the purpose of those cogs just beneath the deck?
-
Yes that's the right word - my enternal dictionary must have had a malfunction. Now you've built even more the original component looks like its an outhouse or something tacked onto the back!
-
Bonaparte has excelled again! How long did this take you?
-
I asked WHEN shall you start building with them, not IF you will start building with them. So I was looking for a time related answer, like "as soon as I get them" or "within 10 days of recieving them"

Another Brickfilm! Yaaaaaaaay!!! I thought it was OK. It was a bit crude technicaloically, the camera work was jerky, there was interlacing, the colour dropped out on occassion. It wasn't that original - yet another Pirate Brickfilm borrowing from the Pirates of the Caribbean Soundtrack which probably demonstrates how timeless it is for Pirate themed video. Did the mini-figure really need to be Jack Sparrow? Can't people invent their own characters? That aside, it was edited rather well and the animators managed to get some articular expression from the mini-figures which added to their character. In addition it was colorful and lively helping the pace move along nicely - nothing worse than watching a 2 minute film and wondering when it will be over after the first 60 seconds.

Resurrecting The Pirates Theme - a more indepth discussion

And when shall you begin building with them?
-
I know very little about SNOTing for I am not very SNOTy, but I'll comment anyway. The peices without the studs on top don't have any studs whatsoever, and to be a true SNOT design wouldn't it be required to have pieces with studs, but the studs were not on top? Errr... Did that make sense? *wacko*

I agree with Mister Hobbes, this MOC does indeed remind me of the Classic Castles, yet it manages to incorporate the newer elements and colours. The details are far superior than those of the Classic Castles, and I'd say the architecture displays more ingenuity too. However, where are the ruins? This structure looks in rather good condition. Will ruins come in future modules?

Resurrecting The Pirates Theme - a more indepth discussion
Mister Phes replied to Berry Syedow's topic in LEGO Pirates
Unfortunately I fear Count Sneffy may be right. :'-( Its part of the reason I haven't posted in the other thread yet because I have mixed emotions about how The LEGO Group would proceed about producing a new Pirate theme. On the one hand they could surprise everyone and somehow update the theme using modern pieces and colours (like Baron Sat did with Puerto Brico) yet retain the charm of the original theme, or, like Count Sneffy suggests they release a theme targetted towards children that feels a little bit outrageous. -
Its not exactly a new concept and has been around as long as I can remember. Although I do have family that works in the post office so maybe I have an insight into what goes on behind the scenes. But more to the point, when will Mr Norrington likely to receive these hull pieces?

Resurrecting The Pirates Theme - a more indepth discussion
Mister Phes replied to Berry Syedow's topic in LEGO Pirates
By the way Mr Syedow, now that you've got this thread established don't completely neglect the We Want Pirates thread, as that thread needs posts from as many different users as possible. Same goes to everyone else, although its understandable if you want to consolidate your ideas in this thread first so you only put your best material forward in the other. -
Why do you think you'll lose a lot of your models? Can't you back them up first?
