  1. I think you were pointing out the printing on the water was uneven from one side of your Elodrado Fortress baseplate to the other. It appears no two Eldorado Fortress baseplates are the same. It must have been the production method used at the time.
  2. Maybe there were other parts which had also been replaced. You wouldn't be able to tell unless you opened up the box to see if the parts were still in their original poly bags. It would be dishonest and misleading! It wouldn't only be ISB!
  3. You're most welcome indeed sir!
  4. I realise this isn't a Star Wars set but it might be worth front-paging this review if you're not already intending to do so. It is a good review and it would delight Town fans. *y*
  5. I see these on eBay all the time... So I bought a couple of the grey variety... They're not so good on when a couple of 1 x 2 plates are connected together X-D
  6. Don't forget there is a link to the Tutorial page on Classic-Pirates.com at the top of every webpage in the Pirate Forum. There is also an index thread at the top of the Pirate Discussion and MOC sub-forums which also lists the Tutorials, so if you use either of those it shouldn't be that hard to find any of the tutorials.
  7. I'm wondering out loud to everyone (especially to Bonaparte) whether this thread should be in the root forum of the Great Library since that's where all the other tutorials live?
  8. Was this set authentically sealed though? Someone may have replaced the flags and resealed the box using their own methods. Or the seller may have been lying about its condition...
  9. I've seen them used for sailing too. Read more about them
  10. Errr... What are the answer Norrington? That the majority of Elodrado Fortress base plates are errorenously printed?
  11. Why am I asking this again? Was it too much trouble to answer the first time? Weman? Is that spelling intentional or just really careless?
  12. Yes, by all means invite Ms Mage to this thread and see what she can tell us!
  13. Hmmmmm... Interesting... Get him to take pictures and then post them here so we can analyse them. Possibly, they could be customs made by the seller or whoever supplies the seller.
  14. What about the Minifig Customization Network? Would someone there have such skills?
  15. Never heard or see of a sticker for use with these flags before. Did this BrickLink thread happen to provide a picture?
  16. Yes I did. I probably should have digitally corrected that but I never got round to it and probably won't for a long time.
  17. The mini-fogures in the dingy could be modern day, but they're drifting above a pirate ship sunk 300 years ago so it seems justifiable to me
  18. Is that what inspired Mr Athos or is it just coincidence?
  19. I've noticed this too because quite often when I'm building Sabre Island or Ship Wreck Island I notice the print behind the stud is always slightly different to the picture in the instructions.
  20. Weman? Is that spelling intentional or just really careless?
  21. Its hard to tell when there's a dock built over the water line but I'm sure the water level on my Eldorado Fortress is lower than the one you've got pictured, however its not as low as the waterline in the instruction image. I've also noticed that no two waterlines are the same and therefore the texture can vary quite a bit.
  22. Actually I acquired Sid Meirer's Pirates back in 2004 not long after it came out. I haven't played it in ages... Haven't had the time :'-(
  23. Excellent! We shall start adding some interesting content then.
  24. But if you're feeling depressed I call upon the ship's councillor right away! Wait a minute... We don't have one... We haven't reached a point in time where such a position exists on board a ship. Looks like you'll just have to hang in there X-D
  25. A while back I acquired some modern hull pieces to eventually build a ship with. But alas, I have not got around to doing so.
