  1. Thanks for that explaination Mr ZCerberus... It seems like I asked that question months ago.
  2. You've got some interesting things on display Sir Nadroj! But I don't recall any rock crabs in Pirates of the Caribbean! What inspired you to do this? Even though its blocky it looks awesome - like some kind sculpture. I've added "Possible Spoilers" to the thread title in case someone hasn't seen At World's End. Which would be come to think of it...
  3. Ahhhhhhh splendor of a Brick Miner MOC.... If The LEGO Group were looking for a designer to design new Wild West sets you'd have to top the list - Legorado Station is almost too good not to be an official set! Its so superb I'm rendered speechless. I'll have to come back later when I'm not so awestruck...
  4. I see what you mean Mr Dreamweb. Maybe if the builder "capped" it off with a cone shaped piece and put the flag on top that might help alleviate the problem.
  5. Or it could belong in the Wargames Forum... But I'm not exactly clear what is considered a "wargame" there.
  6. Miss Aredhel did you buy this ship yourself, or was it another gift from you know who? X-D
  7. Yeah, now that I'm using my regular monitor with Windows I can see the bluish greyness of the pieces.
  8. Is this is a Work In Progress? I can add that to the thread title if you like.
  9. I think this is a pertinent issue to raise. While those outside Northern America may not be aware "Indian" or "Eskimo" could be seen as offensive, everyone should remember these are names given to these people by Europeans, but its not ncessarily what they want to be known as. Having mentioned that, history and fiction have always possessed a degree of ignorance or "fabricated reality" and since this MOC is fictional I wouldn't suggest that Duke change it for the sake of political correctness.
  10. Yes, that's exactly what I meant! :) Maybe one day when you're playing round with ideas for a new MOC you could take some of these Megablock pieces and do little experiments to see how well the pieces worth with LEGO.
  11. AAAAAAAAARG!!! The dreaded Megablocks! Even though it looks too organic for a construction toy are there many pieces that can be salvaged for LEGO MOCing?
  12. Do you know which shade of grey is being used? I'm currently using a Mac so the gamma is different to that on Windows, and on this monitor the shade of grey looks more like old grey than the newer bley or light stone grey.
  13. AWWWWWWWWW!!! Look at the pink parrot! I'm gonna call him LuLu!
  14. Is that the new Asian custom she sports in "At World's End"?
  15. What's important here is Duke is making effort with the limited pieces he has and I don't think this MOC is a waste. In building it Duke has gained experience and improved his MOCing skills which he can apply to future MOCs. While honesty isn't a bad you've got to be careful the way you convey it - your comment seems a little blunt and could offend someone if they're not hardened seaman. I think the best thing to do is to also find something good to say about about MOC, even if you don't like it - for that is the true nature of constructive criticism.
  16. Will there be pictures of the cannons in the future, or has the ship already been scuttled?
  17. And another reason not to post the script on Eurobricks is because it may violate a copyright infringement and we'd rather avoid any Imperial... Ummm... "Legal entanglements"
  18. Do you mean 6270 Forbidden Island Captain Tau?
  19. Do you think you might build an Imperial MOC one day? when I saw it the first thing I thought of was Indi-ana Jones X-D
  20. Pirates Perilous Pitfall!
  21. Just wondering why you don't hate Star Wars and 300? What about those movies that keeps you interested?
  22. Yes, when addressing another crew mate you refer to them by their title. You've done the right thing Mr Starwars4J. This thread was off to a bad start and its only went down hill, so I won't reopen it. I mentioned this to Oo7 earlier but I shall reiterate it again to everyone: if you don't like the topic then don't post in it! There are plenty of other threads in the pirate you can respond to, but if you feel the discussion in a particular thread is inappropriate then contact an administrator or moderator. Its hard convey tonality in written form so things can easily be misinterpreted, and come across harsher than they're intended to be. Having said that, it would be appreciated if users took consideration when creating threads. We must accept that occassionaly we'll see old topics in new threads, however its not appropriate when a particular user continually creates threads that have almost the same topic. and... Name calling and excessive smiley usage is never appropriate.
  23. That's a very interesting opinion because it seems the majority love Jack Sparrow's characterisation. You're the bad apple of the bunch aren't you? :-P
  24. Greetings Duke! This is quite an interesting looking ship and you've certainly made the best of what was available to you. It great to see having a limited number of pieces doesn't stop you from building! *y*
  25. You're doing a great job with Powerpoint! So keep churning out those torso designs *y*
