That does look somewhat different to the ship in the picture above it - what's going on here?

The LEGO Group did re-release the Black Seas Barracuda in 2002. I'm not sure how well it sold but I never saw any advertising for it and consequentially wasn't aware of it's re-release well into 2003.

I noticed this too, although I would have described it as the story being slowly paced. I think future episodes would benefit from more action occurring within less shots. It seems a bit tedious how things drag over a couple of shots. Of course this requires more thought and planning and thus time when setting up a shot. I' recommend looking at professionally produced comics and graphic novels to see how their narrative flows and how they convey action. Obviously your comic is a lot different to most of those but you'll probably gain some clever ideas and inspiration by doing so.

It seems your comic series is need of some promotion. If we had some indication of how frequently the comics were going to be released then we could devise a strategy. But if there's only going to be 2 or 3 episode then there's probably not much point.

After all, Treasure Island did for Pirates what Lord of the Rings did for fantasy. The Disney version of Treasure Island is my favourite Pirate movie.

Yes it did close down and there was a huge outcry amongst AFOLs. Before it was relaunched they were taking feedback and suggestion on how to improve their service for paying members. At least I think they were taking feedback, or maybe someone took it upon themselves to get feedback that Brickshelf didn't necessarily want :-)

I didn't think the fake Imperial Flagship sails looked too bad. I suppose when mixing them with the authentic sails the discrepancy in quality becomes apparent.

It works fine for me! It looks more like a screen shot from a computer game rather than a film however.

On the other hand posting something on Brickshelf seems to be an invitation for MOCs to be discovered... Perhaps Brickshelf would really benefit from a private folder feature.

Welcome back LEGO Ryan! You have very interesting renditions of the Black Pearl and the Flying Dutchman. Since they're quite different to what's seen in the movies why didn't you invent your own backstory and names? Obviously the Pirates of the Caribbean movies were catalyst for your creative output but it looks to me that you've created something that is uniquely yours - no kudos to anyone else! Ok, so I'm being a bit pedantic. X-D

What were you going to use the background for anyways?

Good news! I decided to vacuum my floor today and in doing so I stumbled across my ruler. Rather than just measuring a mini-figure right this very instant I thought I'd be a tease and just let everyone know I found my ruler X-D
