Sort by type and size in that order. Have one container for misc. small parts that don't fit in any category. Sort parts by the type and color if you have enough room but if not stick to type. You can check my Bshelf page by clicking my signature. You can see how I have my parts sorted there. I have 200,000+ parts and I have found it to be the best system for sorting. Easy to find pieces and though time consuming easy to put away. The problem lies in when you have no more room to store parts rather than how to do it.

It is impossible for LEGO to have them printed up. When they started including those in the 80's a set had a 1-4 year shelf life and it was entirely possible to find the set even after it had been printed years before. Today LEGO has a new series of sets out every six months and rarely does a set have more than a year on any shelf. Only hobby stores or stores with overpriced sets carry sets for more than a year. It makes the booklets almost worthless as if a set came out in July and you get it for Christmas. You only have until the following July to get it. The booklets would not be able to be printed until all the sets for the year get finalized. They would not have time to get them printed, packaged, shipped, unpackaged, separated, repackaged and sent in a timely manner.

I will say this that had LEGO invented Batman the batcave would have actually looked like this. The fact that everything is elevated and the rock sticking up really sell this as an actual cave for me. It seems to be filled with 50's and 60's type equipment which fits in with the older television series very well. I am not sure aboiut all the yellow but it doesn't make it bad just unique. This is certainly not the batcave in the cartoon or the Burton version. My favorite details are the torch and the windows overlooking Gotham. *y* I would suggest using blue baseplates as the back drop instead of green though. You may also want to find out why that spy Spielberg is sneaking around the Batcave and what he did with Alfred. X-D

This is so sweet! X-D Maybe I will play it some day. ;-)

I am tired of buying to get the parts I want. It simply costs too much. I have a lot of parts I am willing to trade and maybe you do too. Below is what I am looking for. If you have any of those items you don't want or would like to trade for others you do want let me know. If you have a similar want list post it for myself and others to see. You can find me on the Straight Shooters list or check my BL link in my signature. Wishlist I am also looking for the telephone part 167 on BL. It looks like this o=o on it's side and 0__0 resting on the handle. Any color or amount. PM me with any questions.

I don't understand what you mean!? *wacko* Sorry. :-$ I mean more pieces to choose from when building. That way the cockpit and colors would be exactly what you want.

I watched the extended Fellowship of the Ring last night. No matter how many times I see it I always think the same things. Peter Jackson and the amazing crew of people working for him made a great movie with not enough money to do so. The first movie has a special adventure feel to it more so than the other two and I think it makes it that much better. Even though it deviates from the books in so many ways it is still fairly well thought out and much better than the hack job Lucas did with SW. I really liked Sean Bean as Boromir and wish that the focus of the movie was not so singularly involving Frodo. Though Frodo is so central to the story Tolkien gave so much time and effort to make his characters what they were that some of it is lost in the movies. I think that by reading the books it gives an advantage to what is going on in the movie and even though so much is not included (rightfully so) you can better appreciate the subtilities of the films. If you have not seen the extended versions of the films do yourself a favor and go watch them.

This is a great little variation. It has a thick stout look. I can picture a dozen of these blasting out of a bunker to meet an oncoming attack. The guns are simple but don't look tacked on and the shapes are overall good. Good use for very limited parts. Would look better if redone with more options. *y* overall. Now the real challenge is to make a turret out of the hut to go along with this. :-D

Spyrius guys are cheap now days. Much less than castle or star wars. I really wish LEGO would make a new space line. I just got a couple of the spyrius sets I was missing. Lovely little things. I really like the whole color scheme. I still wish Blacktron (the original) would make a comeback.

To Ms. Mallone. What can you tell us about yourself? Why are you on this flight? Do you recognize anyone especially the victim on the flight? Do you know anything about the missing jewel? Where are you going once the plane lands? Without a calculator, what is the square root of 4765? Have you noticed anything suspicious on this particular flight? If you had to pick a suspect for the murder who on board would you single out? Did you notice anything peculiar about the victim or his surroundings? Can you please explain what 'bling, bling' means?

Some of them made me laugh also. Others were not as funny because I don't understand the joke. Like if I said "I like buts." in a web comic it has little value. If I told you a story about an older teacher who, in the middle of a class of 16-18 year olds, used a sentence with the word 'but' in it and then after saying it paused and said "I like buts." You may think it is more humorous to picture an older gentleman standing in the middle of a bunch of teenagers saying I like butts. The humor is often based on the background. That is why comedians can take up the better parts of an hour just to deliver a few funny bits and a big punch line every ten minutes. So much of humor is in the setup which Dieno's comics lacked. Either way some wording could be offensive.

I think someone was offended by the word vagina and requested the admins to remove the pictures. Brickshelf is used by people of all ages and also many parents helping there children post pictures. Though not a bad word many people have a problem with any reference to sexual organs and the non-sexual use or illustration pertaining to them. Just my thought. I had read them but a few were more eh than funny and I can see how someone could get offended.

LEGOLAND is very nice. Always be on the watch for reduced price items. I have seen some very nice reduced sets when I went. They may also have grab bags which can have a nice selection in them. PAB didn't open until the week after I was there :'-( so I have no idea what that is like. I went when I was 23 and went on every ride I could fit in. All but one or two I think. I had tons of fun. Remember to take a camera and take pictures with all the statues in funny poses. My favorite one is the blacksmith. Take a picture giving him a hug and post it here. That is my favorite picture from when I went. And for Gylman, I will check to see what I have for green corners also. I don't think I have 100+ but you never know. Some is better than none. I will want to trade though. I'll let you know what I find.

Very nice, sort of sea turtle like. Cargo is a likely use for a ship like this. Wings denote atmospheric flight so I can see this as a short range heavy cargo mover for planets within the same galaxy. I would probably remove the teeth as they look out of place.

Which system out sells the other? Which system is in such demand that it cannot be produced fast enough? Which system has multiple million unit selling games? Say what you want the facts say that PSP sucks and that Nintendo roxors. You sound like one of those media brain washed Sony fanboys. I just heard about the DS lite and from what I heard it is not only better than the original DS but the screen brightness is even better than the PSP. PSP does not compare.

Can you tell us why batmans head is so big yet? (sorry if I missed it earlier)

Very nice improvments. The engines look fuller, the side guns a little nicer with the tube the area behind the cockpit is fuller and better greebled. I really like the replacement for the swords. The new guns and engines look very good. Getting rid of the little side guns was an improvement. What I don't like is the pointed nose. I prefered the rounded one much better. Everything about your ship is rounded, the engines, the cockpit, your guns, everything in general is shaped toward the rounded and not the angular. I would have left the round front or designed a different one. Maybe using 2 of these and then behind them to tapper the whole thing in toward the cockpit a matching set of these. I like how you made the engine supports bigger but I still think you need at least an extra brick width in front for armor in just the middle sections. It should overlap to cover those hinges which would be my target if I was going to attack. The seem too fagile and undefended. This is what I would change but you may like it just the way it is. I didn't see an under shot but I don't think this has landing gear which you might want to add. I think the version two is better than version one by far. A nice fighter ship overall and other than my few little nitpicks it has been built very well. Nice! *y*

Unbelievable! Well maybe not considering the builder but certainly excellent. I love the color scheme. Great use for parts like the rock for the eye, all the hockey slammer parts, and of course all the beautiful trans orange. *wub* I like everything about this except for the Rakashi parts. I dislike the mildly translucent overly flexible and oddly coloredness of them in general. Stupid Rakshi. >:-( Other than that I think the shape is great. Nothing seems way out of propotion except you signature doublewide shoulders but with out those it just wouldn't be the same. I like the fingers but do they stay in place well or do you have to fix them often?

I really like the bio feel this has. Very much looks living. I would have hade matching colors for the chest, shoulder and tail though. The instant transition isn't as nice as it the gradual one in the wings. Still it does look good. The legs (at least the upper leg) seem a little thin on this MOC but I understand why if adding parts would limit mobility. Do you have a "family" shot of all these you could take or do they all get taken apart after completion?
-
I like the shape but it is difficult to get a size in my head. Micro is often refering to anything smaller than minifigure scale which this is but is it supposed to be the size of an ISD or a a frigate less than a kilometer long? I think you should add some smaller or larger shipes to give and idea of scale. The snot is very much inaction and you did that very well. I am getting bored of the dark gray and red combo though. It still looks nice but it seems like everyone is building with it.

Both of these look very nice and make nice additions to the PCS fleet. I like the compact nature of the spat and the engines are a nice use for that piece. The the underside of Astro 1 is a nice break for the rest of it. Many of your ships look almost too clean for me though. I like the look LEGO space had before it stopped. I would like to see you but some of your ideas and effort into building something LEGO would actually make. But that is just me.

Perfect! Thanks APO Now on to the smilies! (so we aren't stuck with these junky ones)

Reason #447 for not owning a TV. The worst thing I ever watch with my wife is the A&E version of Pride and Prejudice. I make her watch LotR extended editions though so I think we are even.

PM'd not sure if it will help you or not though. You could always use it as a guide to type up your own in excel and then save it as a tab delimited .txt file. It could work . . . maybe.

I agree with Jipay. The best web advice for forums is still "Think twice, post once." Don't let the thought of making a mistake or writing something stupid stop you from making posts either though. People really appreciate the feedback and number of veiws doesn't mean as much to someone as even a quick "nice job" does. But remember . . . Another wise saying is "If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all."
