The iconic DB Class 103 was the reference to one of the most beloved LEGO trains sets 7740. It is our goal to make this new version become a real LEGO product, but this is not the only goal of this project. In 2013 the RLUG Danish ”Byggepladen” reached a Guinness World Record for longest plastic toy train track. 4,000.25 meters (13,124 ft 2 in) all done in old blue LEGO train tracks. Danish Lego enthusiast Henrik Ludvigsen was the man behind the project, and now he and Byggepladen is going to go even further. Actually 10x further. 42,195 meters (131 873 ft 45⁄16 inches) = 329,718 LEGO train tracks The iconic marathon distance has been covered by athletes all over the world, but to build the tracks out of LEGO train tracks is a daunting task. The first hurdle is the 329,718 LEGO tracks that is needed, and this I where you can help by supporting the DB Class 103 project. If the DB Class 103 project reaches 10,000 supports and becomes a LEGO Ideas model, the 1% of the total net sales will be used to purchase the LEGO tracks and make this record become a reality. If the project never becomes a reality the 1% will be donated to UNICEF. We are planning to make the new Guinness World Record in the summer 2017. No, would be nice.... Most of the tracks are donated from other fans around the whole World for the project. I have received more than 600 packages containing blue tracks and White sleepers. If you have 50.000 White sleepers it is pretty heavy. So no - I have not spent a lot of money on this. Henrik

I have stopped counting.... I have more than 130 different trains and stations. It is from the very start with the 4.5 blue era, 12 volt, 9 volt, RC-train to PF-train. Many of Them are double, some in MISB and so on. My collections also include different kinds of track in many colours including blue, Grey, Black, yellow, red, maersk blue, transparent and some more. Most of Them are prototypes..... Or test run from the moulds. According to BL the weight of the collection is 1.300 kilos.... That is a lot. There is pictures here (at the bottom....) I Think i have 95% of all the train related sets.... Henrik

Adult LEGO fans, After 10 successful years, the Community Engagement & Events (CEE) department has decided that the 2014 gathering at LEGO Fan Weekend (LFW) in Skærbæk, Denmark will unfortunately be the last one. This was not an easy decision to make, but various challenges with the event and the significant growth in LUGs around the world have created a need for the CEE Department to reallocate its resources to support as many members of the global AFOL community as possible. We know this might come as difficult news to many of you, and we are thankful to those who have worked with us every year to make it a great experience. We hope that during this 10th anniversary of the event, everyone can enjoy one last time together in Skærbæk and reflect on the rich history of LFW. We encourage all of the AFOLs who have been or were planning to come to LFW in the future to consider attending another LUG driven event around the world, and to look to the new LEGO Ambassador Network (LAN) as the primary platform for interaction with The LEGO Group. Also keep in mind that the CEE department does not exclude the possibility of hosting AFOL gatherings in Billund or other locations at a later date. I have a speciel insurance, which covers all my LEGO (most of the LEGO are train tracks and old vintage set...). The insurance Company receive a list with every thing twice a year - I have to Update the list everytime I buy a new set. Because 95% of the collection not Can be bought again the insurance Company had a toy expert from Christie's made a insurance value based on valuation at an auction. For example I have every train in MISB box from the start to 1982 and over 125.000 old blue tracks. Where should you buy this again today ? It is not possible I Think. I also had to install a burglar alarm with live video to the alarmcompany. Henrik
