This is what we did today (after completing the longest LEGO train track at 1.500,64 meters) It has 2 locomotives and 117 wagons. I don't know how long it was in meters. Regards Henrik

It was irrelevant. It took another turn. We also had several other trains complete the whole track. It is not a Guinness record - we have to make more than 2.300 meters, as some japanese toys hold the Guinness record. LEGO has not its own category in the Guinness book of records. The former record was 1.190,88 meter according to http://recordholders.org/en/list/lego.html We will be back with much more than 1.500,64 meters - this was just a test ! But this was the longest LEGO train track ever build. Regards Henrik

From my room Regards Henrik I have been collecting the old blue tracks for many years. I used to play with them and the old trains when I was a 6 year old boy. The day before christmas I got this crazy idea, that I would make the longest LEGO train track in the world. I started with 200 meters, now I have more than 1.500,64 meters....... I have bought them at BL, received many as donations or bought them locally here in Denmark. The whole Danish LUG (byggepladen) has helped me a lot. This was not possible without their help. The track is finished. The total length is 1.500,64 meter. It took us 5.5 hours to build it. We have used more 35.000 pieces of LEGO. Right now is my very old train - the 133 - on the track to complete a lap. It will probably take around 2 hours. Regards Henrik

There will be a lot of crosses. It is in one level. The size of the track is just over 300 squaremeters. Regards Henrik

In this weekend I and the Danish LUG (byggepladen) will try to set a new record for the longest LEGO train track. We will build 1.500,64 meters of tracks. The status today is, that we (the Danish LUG) will make 1.500,64 meters of LEGO traintrack in Bella Centret (the same place where LEGO World 2012 IN Denmark was held) in the weekend 21-22. July. This is just a test. The World record Will be much more next time...... More Will follow. Regards henrik

Thank you everybody. I have received so many emails about the tracks, sleepers and a lot more. Thank you to all the people which have - sent tracks - bought tracks from all around in their homecountry and sent them to me in one package - for the good wishes - willing to borrow me tracks for the attempt. I am looking for the old blue tracks. I am collecting tracks so I and the danish LUG (http://www.byggepladen.dk) can make a world record attempt for the longest train track in the world. Guinness is placing LEGO as a plastic toy train, so the current record is just over 2.200 meters. The current record is not a LEGO track. Will you support this crazy idea, just sent me an email at hl@gl.org I have a lot, but the project is almost realized, but we would like to brake the record HUGE. Thanks Henrik

Hallo all of you I am living in Denmark and are a heavy collector of the old track system (blue tracks 4,5 v and trains). My plan is to build a very long track with only the old tracks and trains. I have more than 1.000 meters of tracks and always looking for more... Regards Henrik
