  10. I have a question - I hope you can help. If it is posted the wrong forum, sorry. I have a 10223 Horizon Express - perfect condition, MISB. On the box I have signatures from a lot of LEGO people including Jørgen Vig Knudstorp, Kjeld Kirk Kristiansen - there is 10 signatures on the box. Is it worth anything ? Thanks for your help Henrik

  12. I and the Danish LUG byggepladen will improve our record in the Guinness Book of Records. We have the current record on 4.000,25 meters. We will make 42.195 meters - the same distance of a marathon. Henrik

  14. It is the blue tracks from the 4.5 volt era. I am keeping them - I have more than 100.000 old blue tracks in the collection. Maybe - someday - the record will be improved ... Henrik

This is the official measurements (valid only for the blue tracks) A straight rail is 16 studs long 16 studs * 8 mm = 128 mm A cirkulation path consists of 16 pairs of curved rails The outer diameter is 88 studs The inner diameter is 72 studs Then is the median diameter on a circular path 80 studs 80 studs * 8 mm = diameter of 640 mm The circumference at the middle of the rail body is 2010,6192982974676726160917652989 mm A curved rail pair has a length of 125,66370614359172953850573533118 mm A cross is 2 * 16 studs long 32 studs * 8 mm = 256 mm 520 cross, total length = 133,12 m 14504 pair of curved track, total length = 2.010,62 m 16000 pair of straight track, total length = 1.856,51 m Total length 4.000,25 This is controlled, checked, controlled again, approved, confirmed and check again by: - Guinness World records - State authorized public accountant - Quality manager at LEGO This is exactly the same calculations LEGO did, when they build the molding forms. This is only valid for the old blue tracks. The new RC tracks are only 7,99 mm for each stud. The Record is approved. Henrik

  17. All the blue tracks are my private collection (I have more than we used, so we make it even longer next time). I have bought a lot of old blue tracks from the whole world in the last 1.5 year. It took 6 hours to set up the whole track. And was assembled by 70 people. Henrik
  18. Yesterday I and the Danish LUG Byggepladen made a new GUINNESS World Record for the longest plastic toy train track. We made 4.000,25 meters - made entirely of LEGO, using only the old blue tracks. We used 32.000 straight tracks 14.504 curved tracks, outer 14.504 curved tracks, inner 520 crosstracks 31.544 white sleepers A total of 93.072 LEGO bricks.   19. We will livestream the event. We will stream something from the whole setup on friday. Saturday the stream will go on from 9.00 - 16.00 danish time (1 hour later than GMT time).   21. We have several wireless cameras, which we be mounted on the trains. These camera Will broadcast live videos. More about that later. I will consider, to make a timelap, but I Think it is a challenge, the area we have to cover is huge. Henrik
  22. I have tried to finance the adjudicator by selling wagons to sponsors. We have just sold the last one. We have totally sold 40 wagons. You can see some of them here: The budget for the whole event is about 15.000 Euro Henrik
  23. The guide is not ready yet. I have not got a legal promission to use official LEGO pictures, but we will take pictures of every thing at the event. I hope it will ready late this year. The Maersk train is not gonna happening (not this time.......). Henrik
  24. On this date I and the Danish LUG byggepladen will present: - A new Guinness World Record for the longest toy train track made entirely of the old blue tracks. Length 4.000,25 meters (you can read more about this in another post) - For the first time ever, we will present every train set, station, track type, prototypes of tracks (we have them in blue, gray, light gray, Maersk blue, Black, White, red, yellow, green and some more), stations, polybags, sets, wagons and so on. We will present more than 200 different trainrelated sets etc. If you wish to see it, there is public access saturday between 9.00 - 16.00 - the Guinness adjudicator will arrive at 12.00 The official announcement of the record will probably be around 15.00. The event is taking place at Broby Sportsefterskole Vesterågade 60 5672 Broby Denmark Fee: DKK 25 - If you show this post, there is free entrance. The event will take place in Denmark at Broby Sportsefterskole - htttp://www.nbfe.dk during 10.-12. of May 2013. An adjudicator from Guinness World Records will be there. At the same time we are presenting EVERY train relating set, train, wagon, station, tracks, light posts and etc. for the for the first time in the world. We are presenting more than 200 different things. And you will be able to see every kind af different tracksystems with running trains.
