  1. This is the new layout for the Record attempt: This layout will be done on the 10-05-2013/12-05-2013 in Denmark - Broby Sportsefterskole www.nbfe.dk be my and the Danish LUG Byggepladen. It will be open for public on Saturday 11-05-2013 between 9.00 - 16.00. The length ? - it is 4.000,25 meters or 13,124.17 feet. We will apply for a Guinness World Record for this - the current record is 2.221,51 meter (it is not made of LEGO). The layout is build only of the old blue tracks and white sleepers. We will use more than 90.000 tracks and sleepers (for ex. we are using 520 Crosstracks). At the same time we will present every trainset, station, wagons, tracktypes, monorail etc. - there will be a complete exhibition of every train related stuff LEGO ever made since they started producing toys. We will try to stream it live on a webpage - more will follow. If you want more information - just email me at hl@gl.org Have a nice weekend Henrik
  2. Thank you for all your comments and wishes. It is greatly honored. The book will be made - but I have not got the promise to use the official LEGO pictures. So I have to take all these by my self. All the sets (and I mean every set, station, terminal etc) will be presented in Denmark on the 11th of May 2013. At that place I have hired a pro photostudio, who will take pictures of every set, train, wagon, station, terminal and so on. I am planning to make a collectors guide with more than 500 pages and hope to soon to release a kind of prebook option. More will follow. The deadline for the book will be end of May 2013. Regards Henrik
  3. There will a side for every set. I am planning a book about 600 pages. The idea has been approved by LEGO (there is some guidelines I have to respect). The idea is to present everything, a list of set, wagon, tracks, stations, minifigs, terminal etc. It is supposed to be a bible for every train fan.......... Henrik
  4. What is that ? On the the 11th of May 2013 I and the Danish LUG "byggepladen" will make a Guinness World of Records attempt for the the longest train track. It will be more than 3.000 meters long. The current record is 2.221,51. At the same time we will be presenting every train, wagon, station etc. ever related to train (almost 200 set). I have been collecting all that stuff for the last 6 months and I were missing a book: The UNOFFIAL LEGO train collectors guide. I have collectiong details from PEERON, BRICKLINK, BRICKSHELF etc. I was dissapointed, that I could not find everything on the same place. So: I have decided to make a book with the title "The UNOFFICIAL LEGO train collectors guide" When I do this book, what kind of information do you have in it ? Please help me Regards Henrik
  5. Why ? I only have a few........... Hé rik
  6. Yes, off course you may. On the 11-05-2013 the Danish LUG and myself will make a Guinness record attempt for the longest toy train track. The current record is 2,221.81 meters. We will make more than 3.000 meters (made entirely of the old blue tracks). At the show we will presenting every train and wagon LEGO ever released. We are almost complete. We are (right now) missing this one: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?S=24-1 We have all the other. So - please help.......... Regards Henrik
  7. It is noticed. Thanks Henrik
  8. The instructions have been mailed to me. Thanks Henrik

  10. Does anybody know where I can find the building instructions for these two sets: Grand opening Sacramento - http://www.brickset.com/detail/?set=SACRAMENTO-1 Grand opening Elmhurst - http://www.brickset.com/detail/?set=ELMHURST-1 Regards Henrik
  11. Hi Harald It is an event for the members of the Danish LUG byggepladen. Join it There will be public access on saturday 11th May. It will take plade at Broby Sportsefterskole - www.nbfe.dk Regards Henrik
  12. I forgot something - the track was designed by another member of the Danish LUG byggepladen. His name is Svend E. Sørensen. In my civil life I would call it a draft - in LEGO language it is WIP. It is not the final result ! Regards Henrik
  13. This could be the layout: Layout: Details: It is almost 17.728 baseplates (32 x 32). The length ? It is a secret until 11-05-2013. Regards Henrik
  14. If you have seen this video: I have promised you a bigger track layout - it will happen on 11-05-13, where I and the Danish LUG (Byggepladen) will improve the current Guinness Record. The current record is 2.221,51 - we will make more than 3.000 meters of the old blue tracks. More will follow... Regards Henrik
  15. This topic is closed - a new post will arrive in a couple of days with BIG news about a new Guinness World Record attempt. Regards Henrik
  16. Next time I will make a lot of trains take a tour round the track. We did not have to time to do that this time. We only had the conference center for 2 days. The first day was construction and the old 133 taking a tour. Next day was cleaning up. Next time I hope we will have some extra time, so all my trains could take a tour. Starting with the oldest train and ending with the newest one - the Maersk train. I have around 40 different trains (not 40 different locomotives....). That would be cool. Regards, Henrik
  17. Here is a link to the same video (but there is no background music): Regards Henrik
  18. I will make a video without any background music. I just had a busy week at work. Have a nice weekend ! Henrik
  19. The details about the layout (some have asked for it): Layout dimensions: Studs: 1735, 2966 Imper.: 45'6", 77'10" Metric: 13.88m, 23.73m Layout area: Studs 5.146.010 Imper.: 3545.04 sq ft Metric: 329.34 sq m Regards Henrik
  20. No, I don't. It took the train 1 hour and 55 minutes to complete a lap. I don't know which speed a normal train have or how far it would go in 2 hours ! Regards Henrik
  21. I will upload a video without music, later today. Regards Henrik
  22. All the music and other stuff is NOT protected by copyright. It is fully legal. Regards Henrik The train can run for about 18 hours on the same batteries. A lap took just under 1 hour and 55 minutes. The next track will be more than 1.000 squaremeters in area. There is not much space between the tracks anyway. Regards Henrik
  23. I don't have any problems watching the video. Where is it blocked ? Regards Henrik
  24. The next attempt will have more curves - I will use all my tracks, both straight and curves. Regards Henrik
  25. I bought them from LEGO in a LUGBULK program. Regards Henrik
