I don't think your mocs seem rushed (just had an enjoyable read through the stories), although the cadence is very high I entirely agree with Mesabi on most of his points, and in particular about combining some of your posts (going forward). It becomes very staccato to read, a bit like a Dan Brown novel - loads of cliffhangers, but little substance to each individual chapter, if you get my meaning. It would be an easier, more pleasant, and easier to follow, read if this had been e.g. 3 instalments rather than 5. Mesabi has a lot of good points, and an interesting story of his own developments here. He has come out "the other side" with some lessons learned, and I am happy to see he shares them. If anyone has any misgivings about the WTCs current (meta) methods, I trust they will approach the court. I am not too happy if we have a community, where some players are actively being excluded. Let us handle any issues instead. In the eyes of the court, former "issues" with the WTC are handled and in the past. Now we move on, and has been for a considerable time. That said, the WTC is IC definitely a sometimes troublesome part of COR, and there may be many reasons to be careful with them IC. But for dodgy mercenary work, you will find that they are eminently well-suited. I agree with you, Mesabi. I suggest you shrug it off as best you can, but I have seen nothing OOC negative or heard any complaints since the tsumani incident. That said, you probably have a bit of image building needed. The IC image is probably quite well-established and as you like, but OOC I know you are working on it, and I think you are doing well.

Brethren of the Brick Seas (BoBS) Intro Thread, Era II
Bregir replied to Bregir's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Did someone say "PARTAAAY"? I'll be expecting an invitation in the post shortly! -
I am thinking the guard would not have noticed Cooke speaking to the little boys, but as the crowd grew over the coming days, he would be hard pressed to do anything without causing a row. In any case, Cooke is now taken towards King's port, so the problem has gone, so to speak. You can of course show the crowd being dispersed, but I am not quite certain how they would react to that.

Corrington: Sign-up and Discussion, Era II
Bregir replied to Bregir's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
@Capt Wolf, @Faladrin Westface July 23rd, 620 AE HMS Greyhound Honourable Gentlemen, It is with the greatest pleasure that I read you letter, and I shall take your words as gentlemen that we shall fight as brothers in the endeavour for safe navigation of the Brick Seas. You may consider the ships released for their rightful owner, and I shall expect the prize fees to be transferred to Corrington's accounts at your convenience. As stated earlier, we ask only the standard prize fee (licensing costs). The situation here on Terraversa is still unstable, though, and I still fret for the absence of my friend, Captain Sir Jno. Cooke, who was last known to have been investigating the insurgence in Nola Mar. It is my hope that our Eslandian friends keep a keen eye on developments here. I hope we shall not need to draw swords together, but fear that may be a vain hope. Your servant Don Isaac Montoya -
Perhaps the rebels were quite taken aback by his sudden popular appeal - at least it seems like they have taken steps to remove Cooke from Nola Mar... One also wonders whether Ricketts finds out about this... ( @Sir Kingston)

[OL - A-MCRA] Travels to Terraversa

And to have been put in an army uniform... The humiliation could only have been worse if it had been an Oleander army uniform! It will be interesting to see how the Terraversans react... -
[OL - A-MCRA] Travels to Terraversa

Not everyone seems to dislike the Corlander Captain... And tales of LeColeon's demise seems to be coming in handy... -
Winning hearts and minds... It was a hot day in Nola Mar, and Cooke had left the window open. Despite the heavy bars, at least the sea breeze could still pass through. Startled he looked up from the log book in which he was recording everything he had seen and deduced, as a faint voice penetrated his thoughts. Rising to his feet he went to the window, but saw no one, until he looked down at a wide-eyed boy staring him in the face. "Are you a thief?" he said bravely in his thin voice, while his friend was tucking at his shirt, trying to caution him. Cooke beamed a friendly smile at the kids and kneeled down to pose a less terrifying spectacle for the boys. At least, they were someone to talk to. "Now, why would you say such a thing, little one?" he asked amiably. The formerly so careful friend burst out: "You are in prison! Mom says only crimernals goes t' prison, she does!" Both boys stepped back from the window, scared how he may react. "I am a sailor - the captain of a ship, if you would believe it" Muttering to themselves for a bit, they boys retorted inquisitively: "Are you a smuggler, then? Or a PIRATE!" The prospect seemd both terrifying and exciting for them. "Not at all", he chuckled, "but I do know a thing or two about pirates..." The boys stretched their necks to listen in anticipation. "Have you heard about the dread pirate LeColeon?" "LeColeon, scourge of the Terraversan Seas!" the boys spurted out in unison. "The bane of Grand Admiral L'Olius! Strikes like a shadow - takes your gold, your wife, and your KIDS!" Whispering, one of them added "some say he is even a killer!" "Hah!" Cooke burst out in good-natured laughter "No more, little heroes, no more!" And so he told the tale [link to KPA] "...and that, my friends, is how the Royal Navy blasted LeColeon out of the water!" he finished his tale. "Now, run off home - I have detained you for too long." And so the boys ran off. Cooke caught the sound of them playing out the battle, both claiming the right to be the hero of the hour, the Royal Navy captain. "Ok, ok - I will be the Captain of the Greyhound, and you can be the Captain of the Dilergence! BEAT TO QUARTERS!" The following day, as the school bells rang out, the boys returned to the window, begging for the story to be retold for their friends. To his surprise, Cooke found a whole class of little girls and boys forming his audience, and he retold his tale with flourish, quite relishing acting out the events. Over the following days, as the school bells tolled, Cooke found himself returning to the window for a larger and larger crowd. Initially, most of them were kids, but already on the third day, some teenagers and a few parents had shown up. Soon, a whole crowd was was captivated by the dramatic tales of the experienced sea captain.

[OL-FB] Sister de Cloche's story - part 1
Bregir replied to Bodi's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Nice looking little convent. I like the arches and pillars, and the use of various colours for roof, outer walls and inner walls. The story is intriguing too. I wonder if Oleon is gearing up for war somewhere.... -

I ordered it the very first day it was released and had it in the first wave - might be an advantage to be from the homeland of lego :D It was a fun build! Come to think of it, I never finished the part turning it into an actual ship! -

The crazy experiments of the doctor and his... Aggressive plants are always fun to follow, although I fear at some point he will run out of live companions or end his own existence in the belly of a plant! -
Another beautiful build and it's great seeing the myzec get some love! I probably need to revisit them too, although I have about ten WIP ships and several storylines going elsewhere. :P In any case, excellent work. As Kai pointed out, that combination of SNOT and normal studs up on the border works very well!

Another amazing build from your hand, Capt Wolf. Your style is instantly recognizable yet the builds are never repetitive. One might be a bit concerned that Eslandola is spreading its claims, though....

Brethren of the Brick Seas (BoBS) Intro Thread, Era II
Bregir replied to Bregir's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Agreed. Proper footprint, but also the lovely loosely defined "sufficient effort". As a microscale will often have less bricks than a full scale build, we will keep an eye of effort. But I don't remember seeing microbuilds where that would have been a problem, so I don't imagine it will be an issue. :) -
[COR - Challenge III - Cat D2] Busy times in Seawatch
Bregir replied to Brickwolf's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Nice troops and cool little harbour scene! I like the ox cart and all the cargo spread around it. The ship could do with a little more work on the rigging. A simple sewing thread rigging can really do wonders! where is the duck from? -

Well built and well-written story! The gallows looks great, and I like that you have included a working trapdoor! One wonders who the fox has been spying for, and if something more is in store for New Nassau! -
It has been a terrible shock for the Royal Navy to have the first-rate HMS Resilience captured by the Lotus. Many had predicted troubled times for Her Majesty's finest with such a weapon in enemy hands, but like so many times before, the oaken shield was not deterred by a turn of ill luck. In what some would call a desperate measure, others a stroke of tactical genius, acting commander Joshua of HMS Paladin suggested reviving the old stratagem of fireships. Having not been used since before King Arlin, and by some considered ungentlemanlike, the local commodore nonetheless took up the idea, and quickly outfitted the HMS Bagg of Bolton and the Priest's Bounty as fireships, and in a stroke of daring and courage denied the Lotus the use of their prize. In celebration, a painting was commissioned. It depicts the demise of the HMS Resilience, with the remains of the HMS Bagg of Bolton sinking next to the now burning ship of the line. Set ablaze and unable to fight the fire, the massive broadside of the Resilience is set off by the rowing flames below deck, the unaimed cannonade threatening the boat with the skeleton crew of the fireship. Upon returning to their allies, the crew was said to be bailing for their lives from a shot up gunwale, and an officer claimed to have lost his hat to a 32-pound ball overhead. Some claim that the crew may have exaggerated a bit, but none contend the heroic and dangerous deeds of the fireship crews, who reverted a major strategic setback for Corrington in the New Haven Seas, and they were celebrated duly upon their return.
