  1. Hi! I'm looking for a Henry Jones Sr. minifig: Not any more I'm also interested in these minifigs: The actress from the Studios theme. This is what I have to offer in return: Willie Scott and Indiana Jones from 7682 Shanghai Chase. I also have a lot of other minifigs and bricks so if you don't see something you want you can PM me what you're looking for and I can see if I got it. Thanks! Updated. I will probably add more to the list later.
  2. My childhood's most important LEGO set! I think I got if for Christmas in '91 or '92 and it was my only big castle for my whole pre-AFOL LEGO time. Most of my MOCs of that time was either inspired by this set, or at least used a lot of pieces from it. It was one of few sets that I sometimes used to rebuild, just because it was so awesome! I really liked the tudor house part and the working portcullis and drawbridge. Details as the well, the secret escape door and the ghost tower was often copied in my MOCs. I still like this set very much (sadly it lies de-constructed at my dad's place with my other LEGO from the pre-dark ages), but there are some minor details that I'm not too fond of. Firstly I don't like the raised baseplate. Really annoying with lots of studless areas and weird slopes. I much prefer flat baseplates or just regular plates. Secondly I think the left and back side of the castle is quite bad with just a one brick high wall. Not much of a defence I think And while black certainly is a useful colour I'm not sure it works so well as walls. I prefer grey in that case. But even with those disadvantages I still consider this set one of the top 3 LEGO castles ever.
  3. Thanks for the link, Rick! I hope I will like The Burrows as much as the writer
  4. Aw, come on! That's a really unnecessary move by TLG. I'm sure these would have sold well enough anyway.
  5. That's weird Both have the same set number so I think one of them isn't real. I would guess at this one since we've got box pictures of the other but I'm not sure. The best thing would of course be that they wrote the set number wrong and we're getting both sets
  6. Finally, the Greek get his Gyros Congratulations on getting this set so early, I thought it wouldn't be out until March.
  7. If I haven't been kicked out of the car I suppose I'll arrive at the same time as you Ras, and I will stay as many days as you, and I will leave at the same time as you So, that's Wednesday, 4 nights and Sunday, right? Do I have to share room with you too? No really, it doesn't matter which one I'll share room with, any crazy AFOLs will do. However, the cheapest option (sharing a 5 bed room) is of course preferable. That leaves more money for you-know-what...
  8. Welcome and enjoy your stay! Make sure you also check out swebrick.se, our own Swedish LEGO fan forum. Känn dig som hemma! Still a little suspicious of that Christmas Raffle are we?
  9. Because some members has got banned or for other reasons left the site. Didn't think it would be that many though.
  10. Not Captain It's this dinosaur.
  11. I just bought 7594 Woody's Roundup from Bricklink. $56.99 including s/h is still only 58% of what I would have to pay here in Sweden. That is without minifigs, which I'm very happy of because I really don't like them

    MOC: Love Street

That's a very nice MOC, cagri! The right house is my favourite with the nice façade with tan tiles. The little balcony on the other house is nice too. Keep up the good work!
  13. Thanks, the whole MOC only took about an hour to make and the wreckage was probably the easiest part. I pretty much just broke down my Fire Brigade and built some quick scenery. Thanks everyone that have donated! I'm happy that my MOC actually might have encourage someone to give some help.
  14. I don't mind people mixing yellow and flesh minifigs in their MOCs, let each one do their own way. But personally I don't like mixing them. I really have a big dilemma with the different minifig versions. On one hand I don't like that there are two different versions because there are a lot of heads I would like in both colours that just comes in one. On the other hand I like both the yellow minifigs that really "are" LEGO to me, and the fleshies that are more realistic. If I had to choose between the two I wouldn't know which to pick. I like them both and I often make MOCs in unlicensed themes with flesh minifigs because they sometimes fits better.
  15. Then I have no idea who gave it to me... I hope it doesn't have some sort of subtle hidden message that I'm too stupid to understand (that would probably make it even funnier for the person who gave it to me though ). A Quacker means a person who quacks like a duck, right?
  16. I just want to make clear that I don't care about comments on the MOC itself. My idea with this topic is to encourage people to donate to the needed and it's important to see the message behind it. I could of course just have made a topic in the community forum but since this is a LEGO forum I thought this was a better idea. I really hope no one is offended by this and I assure you that my intentions were for the best for the affected.
  17. This post is inspired by another Swedish AFOL, Ferdik, who did a similar MOC and posted it on his blog with numbers for donating. Great idea Ferdik! Soon just a week ago an earthquake with the magnitude of 7.0 on the Richter-scale occurred in Haiti. At least 3 million people are estimated to have been affected by the catastrophe. As many as 200.000 might have been killed and the situation for the survivors is terrible. As one of the poorest countries of the world, Haiti is in great need of aid from the rest of the world to be able to take care of the victims. Many states around the world have responded and are sending help, but you can help too. Many non-governmental organisations, like the Red cross, Doctors Without Borders and many more are working hard to rescue the affected but the cost is big and here is where you can contribute. Send a donation to a trusted organisation! (I've put some links in the bottom of my post but feel free to add more in your posts). Red Cross: http://donate.ifrc.org/ Doctors Without Borders: http://www.doctorswithoutborders.org/donate/?ref=main-menu Save the Children: http://www.savethechildren.net/alliance/index.html
  18. Happy Birthday! I did like Quarryman and waited for the actual date
  19. Well, not very much. I do have a medieval costume that I use during the annual medieval festival week in Visby, Sweden. But I'm not part of any re-enactment group or something like that. I don't think re-enactment is very big in my country but the interest for history is so I might be wrong.
  20. A real Quacker I hope my new title is because of my duck avatar and not that I've been gabbling to much Not sure who gave it to me but I think Ras is a good guess.
  21. I'm with the Finns here ('boy, never thought I would say that ), the price high and then we should complain about it. I know, it's boring to listen to price rant. But it's even more boring to listen to people who complaining about price rants. People says that if you don't like the price you shouldn't buy the set. Well, isn't that a little bit harsh you think? I like the 10210 really much and I will buy it for sure. But the price here in the Nordic countries (Sweden is just a little bit cheaper than Finland and Norway is the highest at S@H with 299USD) is an insult for sure. I want TLG to know that I don't like that and therefore I tell them. How would TLG know that I find the price to high if I just refuse to buy it? My reaction will be much more visible to TLG if I either contact them or post a comment on a widely known LEGO community. Now, I don't think we should start fill this forum with complaints about the prices but if a quite new member as Killerrabbit start a topic where he states his confusion about the price issue I see no problem with that. And I definitely don't see a reason for why people should get so upset about him complaining about a price that them self never have to worry about.
  22. You know you have to build one now? (seriously, I would love to see your version of something like that )
  23. I agree about that part. I hope that minifig won't be in the most expensive set but I've afraid it will
  24. Sound very good! I will definitely keep an eye on this!
  25. Actually that's just the same preliminary picture that we have seen before but someone has photoshoped away the confidential mark. See that the piece count still says XXX and how blurry that picture is where the mark was before? I think we shouldn't post that picture even if it doesn't have the mark on it - it's obviously supposed to be there.
