  1. That seems logical, but I doubt that was the intention when this monster was created. I think it's meant to be immune to Water and weak to nothing, otherwise it would just be the same as normal Aquatic monsters.
  2. Still needed to buy a few hundred 1x2 tiles and technic connectors though! Nice technique, it looks really good and realistic but the downside is of course, as often is the case, the high piece count. Thanks for sharing!
  3. Thanks for the pictures! There are quite a few really good minifigs in Series 11, I especially like the Bavarian Girl and the Tiki warrior. I'm a bit surprised about the lack of any "army-building"-minifigs, but since there are rumors about S11 not coming to Sweden I guess I should be happy that it will be easier to bricklink just a full set and no extras.
  4. A nice looking set, seems to be a lot of interesting parts in it like the dark blue arches and the printed horses. I will probably wait until we get a parts list before I decide if I want to get it or not. Previous Winter Village sets have been great parts pack and I've never been able to keep them together for long.
  5. That is a really interesteing technique that I hadn't seen before. Thanks for sharing with us, caperberry!
  6. I'm really looking forward to this, missing out on another EB event is not an option. Awesome, I'm sure your plan will work out one way or another and it will be great to finally meet you in person!
  7. Got this set today and I agree with all the praise for this set that IMO is definitely the best of the new line for LotR. Great pieces all around, with the top marks being the dark orange foliage and the new arch. The elven minifigs are outstanding, I can't wait to start experimenting with different combinations of their parts. Some might complain about getting yet another Gimli or Frodo, but I find those characters to be among the best to have several of since they are quite generic and has good parts that you can use to make different minifigs. A nice touch with the set is how one tree is used as a pillar for the building, just the kind of thing you could expect in elvish architecture. 4/5 from me. A really great set! Compared to the rest of the summer line, this was a no-brainer to buy.
  8. Hey, looks like I made it to the event after all! I'll definitely try my hardest to come to Billund next year, I don't want to miss out on any EB Event fun with all you great people.
  9. Oh cool! But damn it Sandy! Now I have to bricklink that torso Maurice is wearing because it fits him prefectly and I don't have it yet.
  10. Finally a Star Wars set worth looking at! All those spaceships aren't catching my attention, but this looks awesome. I'm thinking of buying one and sell the minifigs I don't like and use the rest of the set as a parts pack, lots of good and useful bricks, plates and plants in cool colors.
  11. So sorry that I lagged behind again. This week was crazy busy fro me with two job interviews and a paper due to next week etc. Good thing that you guys worked it out. "Well, that was quite an adventure. The land of Dastan still holds secrets and surprises it seems. Thank you comrades for completing this quest wit me, it's been a pleasure... most of the time. Good luck in the future and may the Righteous Light shine upon you." Thanks for a great quest JimB!
  12. Sorry for my absence, too much going on irl at the moment. "Me and William are the only one suited for shields, and since I've already got protection against Light I will give the Mirror Shield to William and keep the Glass Greatsword myself. Mizuki, you've done a great job during all the battles so I'm giving you the Mythril Shard, use it wisely. De'kra and Monk Pretzel, split the gold and venoms between you. The fifth Deadly Venom can go to Monk Pretzel for his good tactics during this battle. Everything worked out well in the end it seams." "I believe the dragon just needs some rest, and we better be far away when it wakes up again. No need to stay here longer than necessary." "It's just a dragon, it has no use for this treasure. The treasure will be in better hands with us. If you don't want your share it's fine with me, but I'm not going to let all this gold and valuable items go to waste."
  13. "If you receive a miracle, Monk, I will attack the Rotten Core from the front row. If it is defeated when my turn comes I will attack the wings, or heal myself if I'm not at full health yet." Battle order as posted.
  14. "Take it easy this round. Most of us are still weakend and could get some serious damage against us if we aren't careful. I'll take the opportunity to heal myself from the back row." Battle order: Monk Pretzel De'kra Maurice William Mizuki
  15. "I'll try again with the sleeping scroll." Maurice casts a scroll of sleep on the dragon. Battle order: Maurice De'kra William Pretzel Mizuki
  16. "Sounds like a good plan, cleric. I'll cast a spell of sleep on the dragon (from the back row), hopefully it will calm her down." Battle order as Palathadric gave (thanks for the back-up).
  17. "Now we know that the remedy works, so if if the dragon is poisoned again we can let it go down in health one more round before remedy it. I'll target the Dragon from the back row, to spare us the free hit. William can take on the Wings." Battle order: Maurice William Mizuki De'kra Monk Pretzel (sorry, I'll be a bit inactive here the next two days. Palathadric can act as second-in-command.)
  18. "Let's use this round to recover. William target the dragon, Mizuki, take on the Wings. I'll use a Phoenix Essence on De'kra while Monk Pretzel tries to heal me. De'kra can try to seal the Rotten Core or use a potion on William when he wakes up." Maurice uses a Phoenix Essence on De'kra from the back row. Battle Order: Maurice De'kra William Mizuki Monk Pretzel
  19. Okay, I've considered your suggestions and realized I didn't really think all through, let go with Paladric's suggestion but with the change of me attacking the Rotten Core too, leaving De'kra to be knocked out as he suggested. We might still get some good hits on the Rotten Core that can help us in the coming round. Battle Order: Maurice - attack Rotten Core, Back row William - attack Rotten Core, Back row Mizuki - attack Rotten Core De'kra - use remedy on Dragon Monk Pretzel - If De'kra's remedy is successful, attack Rotten Core, otherwise use neutralizer on Dragon.
  20. "Well, I think it's time to try remedy the dragon. De'kra, you do that while I remedy you. The rest of you can continue attacking the Rotten Core." Maurice uses a Remedy on De'kra. Battle Order: Maurice William De'kra Mizuki Monk Pretzel
  21. Well, I'm not saying never ever, but not in the nearest future at least. Too busy during the next couple of months.
  22. Thanks guys! I built that gate quite long ago when I was planning a Duplovia Quest of my own that never came to be. But I still had it built when Legonater was about to start his quest so it was simple to just change the minifigs and take some photos. Duplovia was built by giants so of course a big gate is needed.
  23. Looks really great! I absolutetly love Saruman's outfit, really nice. I also like the level of detail that has gone into the model, both on the outside and the inside. Hopefully I will have the money for this...
  24. "Oh come on! This parasite needs to go down this or the next round!" Maurice attacks the Rotten Core from the back row. Battle order: Maurice William De'kra Mizuki Monk Pretzel
  25. "No worries, it will stay alive for quite some time still." That would mean two missed opportunities to hit the Rotten Core and we don't have much time. I suggest we continue with what we have.
