  1. I'm not colelcting city things anymore, but if this looks good i'll probably also get it at some point. I'm positive that the design will be great, but i wonder if it will feature any interior or functioning mechanisms aswell. Probably not.
  2. I don't understand why that would be wrong, i mean there are tons of weapons in other castle, pirates and city sets, why would it be wrong in this set? That doesn't make any sense to me..i eman yeah, it is a toy shop, but what diference does it make? The pieces are in thousands of other sets aswell, for me it doesn't change anything, in what set they are.
  3. One more i've "found" yesterday...then that's it! http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewIt...=STRK:MESELX:IT
  4. 10152 was mid-scale if you can call it like that. Something between micro and minifig scale. http://www.brickset.com/detail/?Set=10152-1
  5. I got already 3 with my orders at spielwarenkontor24. But i think they aren't available directly in stores.
  6. wile we're at comparing castles..what about a comparison shot from the new castle and 6080 king's castle? I think that'd be interesting aswell, since the whole shape of the new one seems to resamble the old King's Castle.
  7. The "lightning" that the troll "woman" and the skeleton's wizard used are a good choice aswell.
  8. I was a toolmaker originally. But that's pretty much off-topic.
  9. I had an really awful experience, when i got this set yesterday and opened the box. I poured out all the stuff, to find completely twisted up instructions (which isn't really new as we all know..), but then the real shock came when i saw that the sticker sheet was twisted even more, and it was STICKING inside one of the instruction books, 2 of the stickers were peeled off halfway and were actually halfway sticking onto the paper of the instructions! It was really hard to get them off, without destroying either the stickers or the paper. Did anybody ever had a similar experience? In all the sets i've bought so far (and that's quite a few) i never ever had that. I had twisted instructions and sticker sheets, but that was just awful. too bad i forgot to take a picture about it.
  10. Kinda weird to see that nobody seems to have spotted the arche rpromo set yet. I really wanna get a few of those. I already have 4 of the battle cart, now i need a few of those too!
  11. I was thinking the exact same. With these awesome new pieces now ALL is possible to be built, no compromises have to be made because of big pieces. It's one of the most useful new pieces from the past years imo.
  12. When you rather have the light blue wizard, then buy that set. The potions are that way because..it is a toy and it doesn't matter really. The plastic is different on the dragon i think yeah, but it doesn't feel cheap to me. Just different. And why is the magic wand dull? It's a wizard for god's sake
  13. I occasionally change things later on, but always when i get a new set i have to place everything exactly how it's shown in the instructions, even the smallest details you could imagine. I guess it comes from my original occupation where i had to read technical drawings and such.
  14. That's just because i always build everything EXACTLY after the instructions.
  15. I also got the new castle recently, so i took some comparison pictures asdwell. I myself like both castles pretty much equally i think. Each one has it's positives and negatives. For example, i really like the back wall of the "older" one, but i like the overall design more from the new one. The older one also seems a bit too "cramped" sometimes, with all the gold pieces and the old fire pieces, which i like less than the newer ones. On the opposite again, i don't like that the room in the left tower in the new castle is completely empty, though that can easily be changed.
  16. Well, these would be rather impulses, than promos. I'm still waiting for the archer promo set to surface SOMEWHERE.
  17. Here's the prison tower with brand new interior It fits so good, that i start thinking, that it actually was TLG's plan that you have to buy the tower plus the wizard impulse to get a building with interior.
  18. Thanks a lot for the pictures! I would have never imagined the new one is so much smaller, i thought they were about the same size Btwl. you made a mistake, 7094 has 973 pieces, while 7946 has 933. Only a difference of 40, but the new one looks quite smaller.
  19. I always wanted to put ALL my castle figs together to form an army and take some pictures of it. But since they all have their place in the sets i have on display, it scares me off to put them all back onto the sets afterwards.
  20. I'm fairly sure the usage of completely different plastic is not an "undiscovered mistake" but something that happened on purpose, unfortunately.
  21. I don't dig it either, but as the previous magician also didn't have a printed torso, this was not that big of a surprise.
  22. Are we talking about real PINK here, or a pink-ish white? If it is actually really pink, you should contact the customer service. If it's just a pinkish shade, i wouldn't bother much about it i guess. That's because of the red plastic under the white print.
  23. Yes, the issue is with the hands. I tried the shield on a normal fig, and it stays there just as it should. I think you can see that it comes off WAY to easily from the video i took with the battle pack minifig, so i don't see a reason for comparing. We know that weapons usually stay properly in the hands of a minifig, but in the video you can see that it comes off just with touching. If you'd touch it in the hand of a normal fig, the only thing that would happen would be that the arm slides a bit back, but the shield wouldn't come off. I don't think it is okay, even if the issue is "just" with the hands. The figs should be up to the normal standards as a whole, and they aren't. That should be solved.
  24. Maybe he is dying the beard
  25. While the printing itself actually is good, you can also spot a difference in colours, from the "normal set figure" to the battle pack one It's more yellowish, and the gold doesn't come out as shiny. I'm pretty sure that actually also comes from the difference in plastic beeing used.
